[That is indeed incredibly vague.]
I'd say that depends. I don't feel like I have one particular method that works for all of my pokemon. Both my Piloswine and Camerupt, for example, are very food-focused pokemon. In the event of any disagreements between us, I believe an apology along with a tasty treat would help calm them down. But that sort of method would not work at all for my Dragalge. She is very proud and definitely needs some time to herself before I can make my apologies. Sometimes I call on my other pokemon to help out. My Vileplume can create a very pleasant scent that can help ease tensions and my Sobble is starting to become quite the little mediator.
Is there anything you have tried yet? Or anything you can share about what happened or your pokemon's personality?

Well, if you do end up going with food, I know a very good bakery. It might be a little far though, but I know she also delivers.
A Hattrem? I can't say I'm familiar with that kind of pokemon. Is it one of those new pokemon from the eggs we got in December?

It's Miss Botan's shop over in Goldenrod City. All of my pokemon have always enjoyed her treats.
[Insert whatever Botan's address is here.]
What kind of pokemon is she? Type-wise I mean? Anything else you could tell me about her species?

What kind of upset? Can you tell me what happened?
Well, the easiest way is to just use a move like Hypnosis and force them to sleep, but... longterm viability's an issue.
I guess it really depends on what the problem is. If you've got a Psychic type, you could always have them translate for you, but otherwise I'd just watch the Pokemon's body language and try to approach as calmly as possible.

Do you know what you did that made them upset?
