5th Prayer [Text, Olivine City]
[This post starts with a picture of the shore at Olivine, sun beaming down, a Chikorita curled up in the sand to take it in.]
I have been enjoying my life in this realm so far! It has already been over half of a year since I arrived, and yet, it does not feel like so much time has passed at all.
While it is a bit lonely at times, I have found many delights to rejoice in, and today I encountered yet another one that I wish to share.
[Next comes...pictures of sandwiches. Really pretty sandwiches. Very tasty sandwiches. Honestly, they're the kind you get at the PokeMart for a couple hundred Pokedollars, but with that said, they seem quite nice!]
I am not...skilled...when it comes to cooking. Why, before coming here, I must confess that I had burned boiling water a few times while on kitchen duty. My companion taught me how to prepare potatoes, but a young lady cannot subsist on potatoes alone. So, my meals often come from the local stores here.
And these sandwiches...
They are simply divine!
So much beauty and flavor in a tiny package!
I did not know the simple art of preparation could enhance an experience, and yet it has!
But the most incredible sandwich of them all has to be this one!
[Next is a picture of...oh. A lot of fruit and cream sandwiches. Some are being snacked on by Pokemon, but there's still more. Holy crap, Flayn, how many did you buy?]
I have never before encountered a sandwich one can eat for dessert!
The fruit is wonderfully bright against the cream, like...like gems of flavor!
And the fact that there is whipped cream holding it together is so unexpected, but so perfect!
It is much like a fruit and cream cake, but you can hold it in your hand and not make a mess! And the bread tastes good with it, too!
Are there more dessert sandwiches in this world? I have seen images of an "iced cream sandwich", and while I am familiar with iced cream, I am not sure how well it could hold its shape as a sandwich. But oh, if there are more, please tell me!
I want my Pokemon and I to try them all!
[Oh God, this is. So pure. So sweet.]

You haven't had an ice cream sandwich? This is a tragedy that must be rectified immediately.
Did you know that some ice cream sandwiches are made with cookies?
We have to get you one as soon as possible!

Is it truly most pertinent?
Rectifying this would be very easy, but...now that you have enlightened me to such sandwiches being made with cookies, I am afraid I would not know which kind to start with!
And I am still a little full from having sandwiches...

Well. Not right now right now but. Soon. They really are delicious but... I think you would enjoy them more if you weren't already full!
There's a lovely ice cream shop in Ecruteak that I first met some of my friends at. Perhaps if you ever make it there, I can show you. I... don't know if they make ice cream sandwiches though, now that I'm thinking about it. Those seem to be more of a store-bought delicacy.
In any case, it gives you time to deliberate?

Why would they not sell them? Are they difficult to make fresh? I...wait. Yes, I think they would be, unless you prepared them in a place that was particularly cold. However, that does not seem to be a problem here. The "air conditioning" keeps things incredibly pleasant, so I can imagine it making a room even colder for optimal iced cream sandwich making!
[Flayn oh my gosh your imagination]

But I fully intend to!

They have really good food here though. Sometimes I just go to place that makes food and pick something I don't know to try.

That, and...fishing.
Even if we cannot eat what we catch, fishing is still such a wonderful activity.

An ice cream sandwich doesn't have bread, does it?

In fact, I have been informed that some of them use cookies in place of slices of bread.

My, how incredible! Truly, one learns new things every day!
Whomever invented these fruit sandwiches must be incredibly revered. But if they are not, then I shall revere them!

I suppose the inventor of this specific variant would be a revered person.
And the person who put an entire fried cutlet with its sauce into a sandwich as well! I do quite like those.
