[It's been... a long couple of days. Monday had come with a strange emptiness, a hollow feeling in her chest, the knowing that something truly devastating had occurred. She didn't need just to her gut instinct to know it true, though. There were three more Pokemon with her, creatures that she hadn't had when she'd went to bed.
It wasn't so strange that Punkface had been there -- that was normal considering Adorababy always slept on her bed and the two were rarely apart. Even Torch Dragon wasn't so odd.
But Zen Doll... Well. He simply wouldn't be without Krieg.
She expects his room to be empty, and it is. His Pokemon, save for the ones gifted to herself and Maya, have been scattered to the winds, the same as her own had been the year prior.
Angel didn't remember much after that. The grief had been so heavy on her shoulders that it clouded any attempt to recall what she'd done. Eventually, she'd ended up in the islands, sleeping what little of the grief away that she could.
Now, though, the others deserve to know.]
I am going to make this quick. [Angel seems to stare through the camera, clutching Zen Doll in her lap and arms covered in Sylveon's ribbons. Her eyes are swollen.] Krieg is no longer here with us. He was a deer friend to a lot of you, and I figured it only right that you hear it as soon as possible.
[Her voice starts to crack and wobble as she goes on.] I think some of you have ended up with his Pokemon. I know you will take good care of them. And if -- you need anyone to speak to about this I --
I am here to help. As always.

Oh hell.
I didn't really know him outside of gaming, but he was always a lot of fun to share the virtual table with. And I had a good time eating curry with him at the cookout. And I know he was a good friend to you and Armin and Maya.
I'm so sorry, Angel.

Thank you, Steven. I... Really do not know what to make of anything, at the moment. I am glad you got to know him, though. And that you enjoyed your time with him.
Despite appearances he... He really is? [Was? It feels wrong to use. He's still alive, at least as far as she knows.] a good man.
no subject
I hope you'll get to see him again someday.
no subject
At least he's back home where he can light things on fire easier.
[It's a poor thing to focus on, but if it brought him joy, she'll cling to it as best she can.]

I've got his Muk. And his Aggron. For what it's worth.

They're with family, then. That is good.
May I come see them in a short while?
no subject
I'm still out on the road with Sasha. We're heading out to Cinnabar.
no subject
Ah. Of course.
That's alright. When you're back, then? Or when we next meet.

I saw your post.
....I was thinking about making a really big bonfire tonight. If you wanted to help.
no subject
She swallows them all and nods. She'll do it for Krieg.]
Of course. I think it would be a beautiful gesture. Let me know what you need.
no subject
[Don't worry Angel, she's not going to make you cart around things you can't.]
....I think they wanted to help too.
[There's also that fact. Murder Chicken insists on helping. Insists.]
We're going to get some wood if you wanted to find a good spot for where we could set it up.
no subject
I think I know the perfect spot.
[It's a bit far from the beach, but it's a spot she remembers fondly. They'd had a picnic there shortly before she'd left the last time.
It seems fitting, in a grim sort of way.]

[But fire dad. Newt has a Tepig and an Incineroar curled up next to her that she woke up to. And is also trying not to cry. Because this sucks and she hates this place.]
I'll take really, really good care of them. I promise.
no subject
I know you will. And... If you need any help, you'll tell me, right?
no subject
My name's Newt. Are you from the same world Krieg is?
no subject
I am. He saved me once upon a time. He's my best friend.

[The repeated shocks are probably a clue, but it's not one Cecil can understand yet. He sighs.]
I'm terribly sorry for your loss. If either you or Krieg's other Pokémon need any form of assistance, I'd be glad to help.
no subject
I appreciate it, though. And the same goes to you and yours, of course. His team is like family, and I would never dream of abandoning them

It... let's be real here, it fucking sucks. Krieg had been doing so well here. Happy, even if there was no slaughter happening. It was unfair he had been made to go back to a world where murder happened on any day ending with a Y. Which probably wasn't something that bothered Krieg much, but it bothered Armin. Pandora was not the sort of place you were assured a long and healthy life. And Armin wants that for Krieg.
While Angel reaches out via the network, perhaps trying to find some comfort in comforting others, Armin has put himself on tea duty after some long moments of trying to figure out what else to do. It's something to do at least, even if it doesn't really ease the grief. But then, he knows from experience nothing will. Nothing but time.
When Angel finishes her entry for the network, he shuffles into the living room, trailed closely by his Mienshao. He offers one of the steaming mugs to Angel, shrugging a little.]
I guess it's not the best summer time drink...
[But, you know. It's tea and it fixes things. Or at least, doesn't make them worse.]
no subject
Thank you, Armin.
[Her voice is soft, on the verge of quivering, when she speaks. She takes the mug into her hands and holds it, but doesn't quite drink it. The warmth is nice. It comes close to hurting, but it's also something for her to focus on.]
I'm afraid I'm not great company right now.
no subject
[He takes a seat on the couch next to Angel, Mika the Mienshao immediately taking a seat by his leg to lean against it. Armin strokes her fur in a distracted manner, and like Angel and her cup of tea, it is something to focus on other than the grief.]
Did... did you hear of anyone else who got any of his pokemon?

The only thing Angel supplies is a name, but so did the Pokecenter computer when she noticed two more Pokemon in her boxes that she didn't put there. Kreig is gone. And so is another piece of Sasha's already broken heart.]
He left me Whisper Bunny and... Blitz.
[Which makes it sting even more. Sure, Jean might be back, but he's a totally different Jean than the one Sasha's more familiar with. This Blitz belonged to the Jean she knew better, that Jean who's gone too.
She's so sick of this.]
no subject
But, after speaking with Armin, she'd come to realize that there was a secondary loss riding the coattails of the first. Neither of them knew where Blitz, one of the best memories they'd also had of Jean, had gone off to.
She can't help herself as she flicks her own video stream back on. Despite all of her careful efforts, tears slide down her cheeks anew.]
Blitz is with you. [She makes a note about Whisper Bunny as well, but there's a palpable note of elation at the mere mention of Blitz.] That's good. He's with a good friend.
[She takes a moment to draw a few steadying breaths. Her hands wipe quickly at the tears on her face.]
What about you? How are you feeling?
no subject
Sasha's tired of her own crying, though she's still very much as risk of starting up again when she witnesses Angel wipe her face. It's enough for her to remember that keeping her distance means keeping people safe and so she turns the camera away from herself and aims it off in the direction of a nearby creek.]
Does it matter?
[Because it sure feels like it doesn't. If how she felt was important, whoever was in control of this place would stop taking all her friends away. She's never felt more lonely in her life than she does now, surrounded by people. Only those people aren't her people. In her mind, that status is seemingly keeping them here and safe.]
