[Watching herself get dissected, as she helplessly lay on the cutting board. It all happened so fast, but in her final moments she still understood what was happening to her.

She's only food, after all.]

I see. While there's nothing anyone here can do to return you to your home, if it helps, you're certainly not the only person to have suddenly become human upon arriving here.

What do you mean? Are there other fish here that have been turned human?

I don't know if there have been fish in particular, but I'm afraid I don't make a point of asking people what they were before. I do know, however, that it's happened to others. For example, my friend knew someone who was originally a cat, but had been turned human here. Even people who were already partially human, or nearly human-looking in appearance, are affected.

So it happens to everyone here? [That makes her feel a little less awful, but there's so much... wrong.] My body feels as wrong. This place... doesn't make any sense.

Yes, it does, even to those who were similar to humans in the first place. Fortunately, most of those who've been drawn here from other worlds are willing to help each other out, so if you're having difficulty, you need only ask for assistance.
