Hey, guys. Riku here. Most of you guys probably won't remember, but years ago, there used to be a group called the PGC- that's Pokemon Guardian Corps, and we were dedicated to keeping the peace and fighting Team Rocket.

Back then, the Rockets were actively causing crimes every few months. Bomb threats being their bread and butter. Pretty sure that particular Rocket's long gone, but with these recent crime waves... well. I'm starting to think we need to be more proactive again.

Not sure how many have taken matters like this into their own hands. There's already a post up that gave some info on the recent crimes. That tells me that we're dealing with at least one or two Psychic type Pokemon, so if you can, I recommend getting your hands on some Dark Types for your own safety. Pokemon with the abilities Shadow Tag or Arena Trap are good options, too- to prevent the teleporting. Mean Look if you don't have the ability, preferably on something fast like a Haunter or Gengar.

Personally, though? We've got a lot of tough trainers. Aurora League members, longtime residents, but... I know a lot of you "newer" trainers are competent in your own right. I haven't taken enough steps to really get to know a lot of you, but I don't think this is something we need to restrict to people with teams of level 100's.

There's strength in numbers, and if the cops aren't gonna pull their weight, then I think a concentrated effort to push back is the way to go. So if anyone's interested in a PGC revival, lemme know. Maybe we can hash things out from there. And if you've got any more intel on the crimes, I think this is a good spot to share the details and maybe hash out some strategies.

There's... also some sensitive info I got from a former Rocket back in the day that might be worth discussing, but that's something I wanna keep to a private line. I already know Rockets hide in plain sight- and not all of 'em are willing to turn on the organization like he did.

I think he used Pokemon with Explosion? Used an alias and never showed his face, so he was pretty good about covering his tracks despite the calling cards.

But glad to have you aboard. Thinking of setting up a meeting once I know everyone's availability. Celadon work for you? I guess somewhere in Johto might work better overall, but I'm kinda wary of Goldenrod. Rockets basically set up shop there, so it's probably the riskiest spot to talk tactics.

i live in the islands so it doesn't really matter where we meet up, i can get anywhere. but i agree that goldenrod is a bad idea. ideally we'd want a secret location.

Yeah, that kinda fits the bill for a lot of their old members.

Secret sounds good. Maybe somewhere outta the way from the public eye? We could go for a cave, maybe, or just use my Training Center's basement levels, but the former means fewer accesses to local resources and the latter is smack dab in the middle of a big city.

I'm down for suggestions, though.

oh there are caves and stuff all over! i used to live in the wilderness around mahogany. i think it'd be best not to use your training center, just to be safe. i'd hate to end up making it a rocket target or something.

i mean...i don't know how you feel about the islands, but i do kind of just have a bakery down here that's not doing anything. it was my girlfriend's, we could always use it as a front. business up front, rocket thwarting and do-gooding in back!

Yeah, honestly, that's a concern of mine. Got a lot of Pokemon and eggs that'd be a hot commodity- some of them aren't even mine. Just holdovers from friends who aren't here anymore.

Honestly, your suggestion's not half bad, though. I don't think people would expect it, and it's outta the way from the major cities.

yeah, location is important. i've actually done this kind of thing before, more than once, back before i came here. tasks forces, war councils, all that stuff.

and to be honest, i'd rather the space be used for something than just sit there empty. and i don't think anybody would find it weird if i said i wanted to open botan's island bakery and keep it running because it lets me stay close to her.

especially because that's not even a lie, it does help me stay close to her even though she went home.

Man. What do we do about moles? A post like this- anyone in Team Rocket could see it and lie. Screening process is gonna be rough. Wonder if it'd be worth having a Psychic type intercept all interested parties just to scan for anything suspicious.

Might be crossing a few moral lines, though.

But, hey. For what it's worth... I get it. There are a lot of people I miss. And I think she'd be happy if you carried the torch like this.

that's a REALLY good question. it used to be we at least had some idea of who was involved with rocket and who wasn't, now...

yeah, i see how that would be useful, but it's pretty invasive. but i think that we can safely assume when it comes to people like us, who've been here a long time, they're probably safe. and maybe like a trial period for people we don't know very well? where they aren't told everything and don't get access to the secret hq at first.

Someone suggested having separate cells and assigning them leaders who're trustworthy and established. Cell leaders get the most intel on overall operations in the PGC, while regular cell members receive cell-specific mission objectives.

Then if a mission gets compromised, we can narrow down the mole.

That might be a more morally sound option, anyway. Just a matter of picking enough trustworthy people who're down for that level of responsibility.

Lotta the people who've expressed interest so far are mostly strangers to me, so that doesn't help. ...Then again, neither did me basically being a hermit for a while. Not exactly the best way to socialize.

you know, that's a REALLY good idea. that sort of set up does work pretty well. and you're right, it's the best option that doesn't infringe on anyone's privacy or anything.

well, you know you can count on me. i've worked with the police and the coast guard, and i've been going after rockets for years.
