Who:Romelle, OPEN
Where: New Bark -> Cherrygrove
When: All week!
Summary: Romelle is now stuck after her initial Fourth Wall visit. Come say hi! I will happily match formats, but I usually write everything, even action spam, in third-person past-tense. There's a network option at the bottom!
Rating: PG-13? Just to be safe.
Log:
New Bark Town
[Romelle knocked on the door of the house she'd just been kicked out of several times.]
Excuse me?! But I still have questions! What am I supposed to do? How do I get home?
[She was going to keep doing that until someone stopped her...]
Why am I having this dream again?!
Route 29
[Romelle had set off as suggested, wandering along to explore. The map helped a little? And she had a general idea that she needed to go to Cherrygrove City, which was apparently just straight ahead. So, sure... she could go that way.
Of course, her first couple of encounters with wild Pokemon didn't exactly go smoothly. She probably could use some help. She was going to run away or something from most of them. Stufful was very vexed and confused by this.]
Cherrygrove City
[Between the Mart, the Center, the Inn, and the beach, Romelle was already kind of okay with this. The Inn even had a spa! It was a small little place, though, and Romelle probably wouldn't linger long, but it was a good place to rest and get some sleep in a bed after her trek along Route 29...]
=====
[The video opened up with a familiar blond that some might know or some might have seen during the crazy whacky weekend a while back (if the dream isn't too fuzzy for you). However, she looked a little confused and perhaps a bit worried. If you knew her before, she won't remember you, sorry. She was doing her best!]
It seems I'm having this dream again, but things have gotten to a point where I'm beginning to think it might not be a dream. I didn't remember it while I was awake, but I do now, and I'm hoping to find a few of my friends. They were here in my dream...
But, my name is Romelle. I think... I think some people might know me? Someone told me that I've been here before. I do apologize. I don't remember it.

Ah, sorry. [She turned around, visibly embarrassed.] I vaguely remember someone mentioning you can't get in, but... it's rather fuzzy. Like I dreamed this place before- [But yes... he did mention strangers.]
No, I... I don't often dream of strangers. But I've met a lot of new people lately, so I wouldn't be surprised if there were some people I didn't immediately recognize in my dreams.
I do have to say, though... this place... I know I've never seen it before.

There was something that happened - well, for me it would have been a year ago, but I don't know if that's the case for everybody who was here when I was. This place sort of drags people in temporarily, and then a few days later they go home none the wiser. I've only got any memories of it at all because I don't generally forget things, and even my memories of it are scrambled and incomplete and didn't start coming back at all until I woke up here. [He paused, glancing at the exterior of "Mom's" house again.] I'm fairly sure I never saw this place specifically, though.
no subject
It was much more recent for me, but yes. I didn't remember the dream at all until I was back here again.
[She sighed.]
I think, though, that coming through "Mom" means that I'll be here for quite some time, perhaps. This time, anyway.
I was hoping it was just a dream... [She'd heard of dreams like that before. The Paladins had been through some strange game together in a dream once. But, clearly, this was different.]
no subject
I wonder if that's typical.
And it does seem like coming through here is the more "official" method.
[And then Shinobu sighed as well.]
Honestly, so was I.

I'll have to ask some of my friends. I believe, if my dream from earlier was true, that some of them are here. If that's the case, they'll know for sure. But, I think it is. I think everyone goes through this house to start.
[She gave him a small smile.]
Ah, but I'm sorry. My name is Romelle.
no subject
[And then he grimaced.]
Sorry. I swear I used to have more tact about this sort of thing.
[Granted, the similarities this had to the way he'd been Taken by his Keepers weren't exactly helping, but Romelle didn't need to deal with his feelings in addition to her own.]
I'm Shinobu. It's nice to meet you.

It's alright. You're not wrong. It's definitely a mixed feeling. I'm glad I have friends to help me, but... they're my friends, and I don't like that they're stuck in something.
I understand what you mean.
Have you been here long?

[Obviously, since she'd been banging on the door to get back in...
She nodded.]
Do you understand what we're supposed to do now, then?
no subject
To be honest, I'm not entirely comfortable with the battle aspect, but it seems to be a huge part of the culture here.

[She looked down at the little Stufful next to her.]
They're so cute.

Also, there are apparently other people with pokemon on the routes between the towns who will challenge you to fight. It's evidently considered bad form if you turn them down.
no subject
Oh... I guess so. I mean, if it's bad form to turn them down, I suppose that we would have to fight.
Do you know how to do that?

Thank you.
[A beat...]
I don't feel as silly anymore, at least.

It is.
I do appreciate your help, though. If you need anything, let me know. I don't know what I can really offer right now other than just someone to listen, but I'd like to help if there is anything I can do.
