[This video gets posted in the wee hours of the morning. It's not an hour too absurd, but if you keep to a decent sleep schedule you might not see this until you wake up. When Larry speaks, it's in a conspiratorial whisper:]

Hey guys. Larry -- eheh -- Larry Laffer here. I, uh, could use some help...

[He points the camera down and into his lap, where a battered and bruised Bounsweet -- despite her injuries -- sleeps peacefully in the cradle created by his crossed legs. She makes contented, dainty little snores all the while.]

This little guy here keeps running off and getting into fights she can't win! I know what she's trying to do, but we're not going to get anywhere like this.

I don't know what the point of these balls are if they can escape whenever they want...!

Heh, aaaaanyway --

[He brings the camera back up to his face.]

-- is anyone around that would --gently-- spar with her? I've...eheh, run out of money for healing items, and I can't get a stone's throw from town before having to bring her back to the Center! So, I'm stuck here for now. I guess I could use a travel partner--or a chaperone--but that'll just get me to the next town without fixing the problem!

I'm in -- [he throws a glance over his shoulder] -- Cherry...grove? Oh, what a cute name for a town-- if anyone's available to lend a hand.

[Not one for sleeping at the moment due to waking up early, Willow decides to check the network. She's seen leaning against a Luxray's side. In the background, a battle between bird pokemon can be heard. Someone's training her pokemon at this hour, how absurd.]

I am in Goldenrod at the moment, but I can meet you in Cherrygrove through the warp tile in the center after I finish what I am doing. I can aid your little one, do you know what level she is, and do you have any others or is she your only Pokemon? If she is your only one, I can aid you in catching another around her level to train with her.

[Larry's expression lightens up when he sees a response!! And from a cute girl, nonetheless!

He...also can't tell how old she is, which makes it a lot easier to be on his best behavior. She's asking questions, rapidfire enough that his brain -- still trying to learn this whole new system he's been dropped into -- takes a second to process.]

Oh, uh--she's, uh, level five? And yeah, she's my only one so far. I've been too busy trying to keep her safe to tame another.

[He means "catch".]

[fortunately for Larry, Willow is an adult, and much older than him by a few centuries at that. Though she does appreciate him behaving himself.]

Oh I see. A very young one still if she's still that low of a level. I certainly would not mind aiding you in catching another to help her train.

[Look man, Ambiguous Age is a scary thing to a guy like him...and has yet to learn that "centuries old" is a thing people can be around here.

Who is perched on a black stage with gold accents, red curtains, and that's an obvious pole behind her. Probably makes the outfit make sense but there's also an alakazam sitting next to her and looking off into the distance.]

Mmm. Sounds like quite a conundrum. I take it you're new to this place, then? I don't think it'd be too hard to get down there between my flying pokemon and my teleporter here. And the majority of my team are already high enough levels where that wouldn't be a problem to get you to at least the next city. [She could always take the night off, anyway, and she highly suspects that this won't be a problem.]

There is just enough in this video shot for him to absorb some very confusing messaging. He stares like a Stantler in headlights as her video plays at him and you can practically hear the air whooshing between his ears as she speaks.

There are several seconds after she stops speaking where Larry silently blinks. She stopped talking. He should probably respond, right?

[Good for him that she's one hundred percent used to this reaction and is biting back a laugh that it's happening yet again. Lord, this one seems like he'd be fun to play with and just never have any sort of pay off.

I asked if you were new and offered my services to come down there and get you to the next city. That's all, darling~ [She probably shouldn't have cooed that, but dammit, this one seems fun enough for a reaction.]

[The irony here is that he's probably coming off as a lot more awkward and shy than he actually is...

Either way, she looks more like a cat that's caught a mouse and is toying with it than literally anything else. Perhaps that's to be expected, but whatever.]

What city did you say you were in, again? I'd have to get Aeris ready and then grab a few of my team. Unless you mean a different service, which I suppose I could handle in a more private conversation. Within limits and reason.
