Video
[This video gets posted in the wee hours of the morning. It's not an hour too absurd, but if you keep to a decent sleep schedule you might not see this until you wake up. When Larry speaks, it's in a conspiratorial whisper:]
Hey guys. Larry -- eheh -- Larry Laffer here. I, uh, could use some help...
[He points the camera down and into his lap, where a battered and bruised Bounsweet -- despite her injuries -- sleeps peacefully in the cradle created by his crossed legs. She makes contented, dainty little snores all the while.]
This little guy here keeps running off and getting into fights she can't win! I know what she's trying to do, but we're not going to get anywhere like this.
I don't know what the point of these balls are if they can escape whenever they want...!
Heh, aaaaanyway --
[He brings the camera back up to his face.]
-- is anyone around that would --gently-- spar with her? I've...eheh, run out of money for healing items, and I can't get a stone's throw from town before having to bring her back to the Center! So, I'm stuck here for now. I guess I could use a travel partner--or a chaperone--but that'll just get me to the next town without fixing the problem!
I'm in -- [he throws a glance over his shoulder] -- Cherry...grove? Oh, what a cute name for a town-- if anyone's available to lend a hand.

But what he does know is that she has incredibly round soft facial features and a pair of lips that he would very much like to
uh
kiss!]
Hiya, gorgeous!
[Down, boy.]
Well, that's a shame! Maybe our paths can cross later down the line?
[Please don't change your travel trajectory just so you can run into her...]

I'm Rose Universe! What's your name?
no subject
Larry! Hehe, Larry....Laffer...wait, didn't I already...
Uh--heh, what a pretty name! And how fitting -- I'd like to make you the center of my universe!
no subject
I...don't think the universe has a center....

[Et tu: welcome to conversations with Larry, Rose.]

I can't even imagine what it must be like to have your own universe! The one I know is so huge...
...I hope you treat all of your planets well.
no subject
[the planets are a metaphor for women.]
no subject
How is that possible?
no subject
Kinda like how we ended up here.
[If you squint, it's kinda true. I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Lost Wages...]
no subject
Not even the oldest of my people has a whole universe!
[Though that was likely the end goal, back when Rose still lived on Homeworld.]

[That is most definitely not what she meant by "my people"...]

Oh...I wasn't human, before. I come from another planet, galaxies away from Earth! But I lived there for thousands of years before I came here.

[...]
Wait.
[Another planet, not Earth, thousands of years old...
Actually, you know what? On second thought, with being zipped off to another video game like this, that's totally believable. So just like that, he's over it.]
So what were you, then?
