003 - "Mentally I Am Here"
1- Video
[Angel has made no secret of her love of all things cute and fluffy. Her first Pokemon had been a Mareep after all, one that still keeps her company to this day. So naturally, she pops on to the network as soon as she catches sight of the parade of Yamper and Wooloo just outside Olivine's Pokemon Center.
There's a wild look in her eyes, an expression of mirth mixed with bewilderment.]
Something seems a little odd in town right now.
2- Video/Action (Ecruteak)
[Angel had promised to meet Lust and Timothy around supper time. So far, though, she's been a little distracted. Sure, there's nothing wrong with a break or two, especially when using the very-dizzying warp pads. But this is probably the third time Angel's popped out of a city in order to flop down in a sea of fluffy Pokemon.
At least this time she's made it into Ecruteak, more or less. She doesn't seem keen on moving outside of flock of snoozing Wooloo though. By now, both the sheep Pokemon and the Yamper have settled down for a mid-afternoon nap.
If she isn't careful, she'll be joining them.
To keep herself awake, Angel pulls out her gear once more. She lifts her arms carefully, and only high enough to get a good view of both herself and her surroundings. After snapping a quick picture, Angel flips on the video. She lifts a finger to her lips and motions around herself.]

I think I've made some new friends.

Private - Lust
She has a bag in hand -- an inconspicuous paper thing. She's not much of a drinker, but she's pretty sure Lust is. That's why she's bought a little bottle of wine for her companion. According to a very nice store clerk, it's some of the best in the region.]
no subject
[Not being one to cook, she's done the next best thing. Ordered a full meal from a nearby restaurant, the sort that's packaged to simply be heated in the oven and served. She's just setting out plates and all those necessities when she hears the knock. Promptly she sets aside her handful of utensils and smooths her black skirt and dark red blouse, pats her neatly braided and pinned hair, and moves to open the door of her and Timothy's apartment.]
[It's silly, to put so much emphasis on a simple casual dinner, but...Lust can't help it, when it comes to the young woman. Someone has to properly look out for and after her.]
Angel. Welcome. It's so nice to finally have you over, come in. Don't mind all of the cats.
no subject
She's quick to shake it off, though. With one arm, she throws herself into a hug. The other is extended awkwardly with the bottle, careful not to hit her companion with it.]
It's so good to see you. It has been too long!
no subject
[Lust returns the hug, far more easily these days. So many simple human interactions that had seemed so foreign and strange in her first years here were now second nature.]
Come in, sit, make yourself comfortable. Dinner will be shortly, but I want to hear everything you've been up to.
[She ushers Angel in and shuts the door behind them, weaving around the multitude of cat-type Pokemon that she and Timothy both have accumulated.]
no subject
[Where Lust seems to weave delicately through the cat Pokemon, Angel quickly falls victim to them. She doesn't rest until she's crouched down and offered pets to all that are interested. She does shoot a few sheepish, even apologetic glances toward Lust but... she can't help herself.]
I... Really haven't been up to much. [She waits to speak until she's settled beside Lust.] A lot of recovery time. Coming to grips with... Him being gone.

[Video] 2
[It's actually said at the volume of a stage whisper, but the intensity of Jane's sincerity can be felt though the 'gear.]
I think - hold on...[Her video goes a little wonky as she looks around her camp for the night...yep, you can actually hear some faint baaa-ing and barking.] Oh my God they're out there, I need to find one.
no subject
You should find one quick, before they get herded away! [Despite her low voice, Angel sounds just as enthusiastic as Jane had.]
no subject
[Let's just haphazardly start disassembling a one person campsite]
Gosh, where could they all have come from?
no subject
[Never mind every other swarm each month.]
This is certainly the cutest in awhile, though!

oh my gosh!! They're all so cute!!! And I've seen a bunch of them way over here, too! Is this normal???
no subject
These creatures are mostly new but... [She motions rather vaguely.] Pokemon show up en masse like this all of the time.
no subject
Wow, I wonder where they came from, if they're all new like that...
[Coming in off of ships arriving from different regions? That would make sense, but the volume of them showing up, and the fact that they're also showing up here in Viridian City where the other girl clearly isn't... strange.]
... Well, that aside. I bet that feels like heaven right now.
no subject
It really does. I could nap in it if I did not have somewhere to be!

[As if to prove this fact, he turns his camera to the large street facing window of his home's sitting room, and likewise Yamper and Wooloo can be seen parading about. Then he turns it back to himself with a smile.]
Think it might be a swarm? Those do happen upon occasion, yet I daresay the manner in which those hounds keep the sheep in line does not make one assume these are wild creatures, but the sheer quantity would suggest otherwise.
no subject
I am inclined to agree. This is nothing like any swarm I have come across before. [She's seen a fair few in her visits to this world, but nothing so... well-coordinated.] Still, it's doubtful that they have any trainers about. That, or they have a whole fleet of trainers that decided to pull a very elaborate prank.
no subject
[He shrugs.]
Yet idle speculation will avail us little of the truth. I do suppose we could be accosted with something far less enjoyable, whether a performance or swarm. [A moment's beat, and then he adds:] Ah, forgive me, I am Solus zos Galvus—and what may I call you, my dear?
no subject
Or maybe she's just trying not to remember. She can still taste the burning spice of a friend's curry, and it leaves her feeling a little melancholy.
... None of which her newfound friend is particularly interested in, now that she thinks about it.]
That is... Quite the name. Solus zos Galvus. [She's struggling, and not just because of the name. There's something about the term of endearment that puts her mildly on edge. But she doubts Solus meant anything by it, and does her best to smile pleasantly.] You can call me Angel.

I've made a fair number of friends as well!
[Hythlodaeus' housemates would absolutely not be thrilled to have farm animals in the house. But that's not about to stop him. One could even call it incentive.]
I've caught a couple for their wool, yet I have not seen a "shiny" one yet. Have you?
no subject
Ah -- I am afraid I have not seen one. Though I also have not been looking all that much.
[Despite inheriting a fair few shiny Pokemon, they don't particularly hold her interest.]
I suppose I can keep watch for some, though?
no subject
[ He gives her a big ‘ol grin. ]
If you see one, just let old Hythlodaues know.
[As he jabs towards his person with his thumb.]
... And who might you be?
no subject
[A frown plays at the corners of her lips. She glances to the flock she's fallen in with, before pushing the emotion down. She's reading too far into it, that's all.]
Angel. My name is Angel. [She furrows her brows.] Hythl -- [She purses her lips.] Hythlodaues is your name, then?

[closed to Armin]
With summer quickly beginning to fade into fall, Angel takes advantage of one of her last opportunities to wear a sundress. It's a simple thing, no more dressy than her usual attire. She has no reason to dress up, after all.
Thankfully, said dress is a perfect distraction, as she's able to fiddle with a stray thread as she waits for Armin outside the shop. She still hasn't figured out why she's this worked up over ice cream, but at least she'll have a distraction soon enough.]
no subject
[There comes Armin, running up to meet her, one hand raised in greeting and his breath a bit quick. His bag (including a gift for her) bouncing against his hip as he skids to a halt, looking a tiny bit anxious.]
I'm sorry, I hope you haven't been waiting long. I wanted to be here sooner but I was going over some things with the people who will build my gym and it took longer than I expected.
[On the one hand, this is dreadful, the possibility he may have made Angel wait. On the other hand, at least rushing here means he didn't spend far too much time nervously preening in front of a mirror, trying to decide which shirt to wear. And whether his hair looked okay, or if it was getting a bit too long again.]
no subject
When she finds nothing out of the ordinary, she looks back to Armin with a tilted head.]
Please don't tell me you were in such a rush for me, Armin. [She shakes her head, just a little incredulous. There's a faint hunt of pink to her cheeks, touched that something small like this could rank so highly for him.]
How is it going, then? Has construction started?
no subject
[It would also mean less time with Angel, which sounds like a rather dreadful thing.]
Tomorrow. Which is why they wanted to verify a few last things with me. [Armin shakes his head.] I wonder if it will start feeling any more real when they actually start building.
