[TEXT] - ADVICE NEEDED!

Good-day to everyone! I've a request that I do hope many here will be able to weigh in upon. When I first arrived to this place, I very much enjoyed the freedom of travelling available. And after the good fortune of my wife joining as well, we were able to spend much of the summer doing even more of that!

As the autumn season comes forward however, we've been considering what choices there may be for finding a place where we can live more permanently however. There are so many beautiful, wonderful places here though, that I fear it will be impossible to decide on our own before winter itself arrives as well.

Erina and I are hoping to find somewhere relatively open, as we are both Pokemon Breeders- but I recall even locations within the Sevii Islands that matched such a need! Therefore, we must turn the question upon all of you!

Where best to live, in each of your greatest opinions?

I'll have to say the Sevii islands, but I admit to being incredibly biased. It does get pretty hot in the summer months though, and you don't even really get snowy winters up here. So that might be a con if you enjoy that sort of thing.

They were indeed quite beautiful while I was there! Though unfortunately I've no idea which island I would choose- Erina has never seen the islands!

I don't imagine a lack of snow would be a detriment however- a somewhat stable pattern of temperature may even be best for the pokemon.

I suppose that depends on what kind of pokemon you have. I imagine many ice types would miss the snow and ice.

As for which island, they all have their own character that could help you make such a choice. Personally, I think Island three would suit the both of you. It's an easy-going place, with lots of young families and children.

I certainly can't say I have too many Ice types...though that is certainly a conundrum.

Three Island? I believe I visited there yes! It does seem like a place that Erina would love...perhaps somewhere near the berry woods? Though I wonder if that's actually legal.

There are probably some local authorities you could approach with that sort of question. Though really, my friend infested an entire island with Voltorbs and they never even reacted to that, so I'm sure you'll be fine.

Let's just say Blitz really wanted his genes to live on. At least everybody on Island Four has adjusted pretty well to the wandering Voltorbs.

They are pretty easy going, so I'm sure it will be fine. I mean, they are letting me have an entire island (just a small, uninhabited one) for my gym. The people here have very easygoing attitudes.

[This is... probably not an intentional response. Not that anybody could say for sure, of course, with all the wide and varied ways people have of expressing themselves across the world.

But the feed IS showing an extreme closeup of a Parasect and nothing more, so it might be a safe bet to call it an accident.

The Parasect rests its body directly on the PokéGear, or so the feed makes it seem. Although it's too muffled to make out, two people seem to be having a conversation nearby.]

[Yeah, Jonathan might have to speak up a bit, or wait for a lull in the chatter, or both. The Parasect shifts slightly, and Jonathan may be able to catch the less deep of the two voices saying something about "rampages".]

Even so, it would be rude of me to claim that interrupting was in any way appropriate. I might recommend putting your poke-gear in a drawer or similar- just to prevent any such repeated incidents.

Oh, it's quite alright! While unexpected, it has not been an unwelcome meeting after all. I had been taking a survey of sorts you see- so truthfully, while not in this manner, I at least predicted that I could find myself in curious conversations.

I'm seeking advice on a wonderful place to settle down in this place with my wife. The pair of us breed pokemon, so we need to find someplace with quite a lot of space...but the trouble is, there are simply too many places which match our needs! This country is truly beautiful!

Oh absolutely! [The topic is immediately revived with optimism.] It's been quite a wonderful journey together, and the people here are incredibly welcoming- there was even an unexpected vacation to another country in this place! Apparently we're typically not able to leave the Johto-Kanto regions you see, so this was an amazing opportunity.

Quite possibly- it wasn't so long ago....perhaps there shall be another similar trip however? While we certainly weren't able to see the entire country, what we were able to see was well worth it! I would highly recommend it should the chance arise!

Oh, I wouldn't worry too much over the matter of badges! [Jonathan chuckles politely.] Though depending on where you are, it may not take long for you to obtain.

Truthfully, the matter of obtaining badges is a concern shaped by what you wish to do with your life here. I only have a small few myself.

[And of course, if he needs strong Pokémon to help the Boss accomplish his goals... he might as well participate in the formal challenge. If he can't beat a gym leader, then surely, there's no way he can beat the top ranks of Team Rocket.]

To a certain extent certainly- at the very least those without a breeding license require badges to make use of flight, or water travel via pokemon.

But when it comes to the use of the teleports through the region, or the ferries as well, that's far from the case. And indeed, the other badges are typically meant for exploratory purposes- lighting up caves for example!

Indeed!

...Though I must ask, why do you fear for needing to take a ferry so often? There aren't nearly so many ferry ports here, and most travel is over land.

Oh! Well, it just seems like it might be my best bet if I want to cover large distances... Although I guess there isn't that much water here. I do know you have to get to places before you can warp to them...

Indeed not. I believe there are only a handful of ferries in operation for that very reason...beyond that, and using warps, I would say that the greatest option for travel is ultimately by pokemon; a large one capable of seating a person will do wonders after all. And I don't necessarily mean a horse either! Why...Blake is a dog, and yet he's large enough to carry even myself!

Ordinarily that's quite correct, but I assure you that Blake is quite a bit larger than even the typical horse!

And quite eager for the chance to show off, if I truly think of it...

...Oh! You must be speaking of some manner of flight or water travel perhaps then...indeed, if you are considered a trainer, you will need a precise badge for those matters. Truthfully however, that will do you little good on land- perhaps flight could assist you, but if your pokemon is meant for water, it could be more dangerous for them!

Meanwhile, someone who isn't fully paying attention to the conversation wonders why Doppio is so hung up on water travel anyway.]

It can certainly take some adjusting to- though admittedly I was rather thrilled that there was a pokemon capable of supporting my weight in the air at all! Apparently some countries use them to create a flying taxi service in fact.

Pokémon can do all kinds of things, right? I guess there have to be some that are just incredibly strong!

Oh certainly! In fact, there are those who could easily carry a few tonnes of material for a number of days on end.

If you ever consider seeking a precise pokemon out for yourself, the 'internet' on these devices is quite handy for narrowing that down. The pokedex after all only contains information on pokemon caught or seen by the device owner.
