Yo! So I've been thinking a little bit about the different worlds and stuff and I was kinda wondering.
Do you guys have any particular meanings behind your names?
[ Kirishima holds up what looks to be like a notepad that would be used normally for restaurant order tickets. ]
For example, my name's Kirishima, right? But in my language that can be broken up into kanji - um, symbols?
So this symbol means 'to cut'.
[ A picture of 切 . His writing is not the best, but it's legible. ]
But you pronounce it 'kiri'. Then this symbol means "island".
[ Next page flipped over, a picture of 島 ]
But it's pronounced 'shima'. You put them together and it can be 'Kirishima' but they also have that extra meaning? Because there are other symbols that can make those same sounds but they don't have the same meaning.
[ How to explain things when you aren't amoron linguistics guy? ]
Anyway, what meanings are behind your names?
[ The Delibirds have arrived in several places. Is anyone fooled by this? ]

Sounds kinda like a hard life, man. Did your parents name you that or is that one you took up?

My mother did, she is the goddess Nyx--night incarnate. She's rather quite literal with her name choices at times. Or, at least, she was for myself and my twin brother Hypnos.
Oh, right. My name is Greek, but I suppose from the sound of your name...I would guess you are of the far east?

Yeah! I'm from a place in the east called Japan! Or Nippon!
In Greece you had Heracles, right? The man of the twelve trials! I mean a lot of epic stories made their way over to my end. Alexander the Great too! Actually, I can't remember which one was supposed to be the real guy, but I'm pretty sure I've got the stories down...
[ He seems to realize he has started to talk to himself and shortly perks up, cutting off a further ramble. ]
Sorry. Don't even answer that. It almost sounds like you had a job put on you right away, dude. Do you feel that way?

[Mainly because he's from some ambiguous time in ancient Greece, and Japan didn't have either name at that time! As he continues, his voice keeps that steady, somewhat monotone sound to it.]
I don't mind answering you. We do indeed have Heracles—rather, Elysium has him now. Though I cannot say I am familiar with Alexander the Great. If he's lived his life and has since died, it was not I whom brought him to the Underworld. If he's some future king, then that would be an inquiry for my sisters—not that I can ask them now, nor would I want to.
[Like Nyx, he's not too fond of speaking with them. There's just something a little off-putting when they know everything that will come to pass.]
As for the job: you're right. Without me, mortals cannot die, so I suppose you can say my duty started earlier than it would for most. It's no bother to me; we gods are not so limited at the start of our existence as newborn mortals are.

Okay, so I think from that Alexander was the guy that conquered Greece and a big portion of Asia and Africa... If you give me some time to think more about it, maybe I could tell you about his story. Sometimes legends kinda mix up.
[ Kirishima chooses to focus less on the details of time and more on what Thanatos is telling him about himself. ]
Wait, so are you saying while you're here, no one dies where you left?
[ What... what is that like? That's good, right? ]
