[The camera turns on to a rather cozy scene in Mahogany- specifically, one of their inns. Jonathan and Erina are both sitting there, broad smile upon Jonathan's face, and a smaller, more composed one upon Erina's- par the course it would seem, except they're dressed very nicely.

Too nicely.

Wait-]

I'm quite happy to announce that Erina and I have wed a second time!

Technically it's called a 'Renewal of the Vows', but it's rather reassuring to have our marriage in paper form whilst here.

Indeed- while we naturally never considered it to be 'null' here, it didn't quite feel official in the eyes of Johto and Kanto either.

Of course, it is now...though I do wish to apologize for how isolated this was. It was quite a sudden decision, brought entirely through casual conversation whilst here at this inn.

Yes! You see, we were conversing with the innkeeper upon how much longer we would likely be staying, and-

[And Jonathan catches a polite cough from Erina, before pushing onward.]

And if any are curious, I can certainly divulge further, but for now I should perhaps focus on what we've created this announcement for! I do also apologize however- as Erina says, it was a rather quick decision, but it does feel in somewhat poor taste to have not held some sort of celebration with invited fellows...

Perhaps a later date for a delayed reception of sorts, [Is Erina's casual consideration.

So they just got married without anyone knowing...a 'second' time!?]

[ She's not quite as surprised as others might be, because while she likes Mr. Joestar she also doesn't really know anyone all that well. Still, she looks happy for them both- she's always been a bit of a romantic, and again, she likes the older man. ]

We were lucky to find someone who understood what we were looking for. Wearing my wedding jewelry again was indeed a delight, as well.

I expect you've quite some time before you must, [Jonathan agrees.] Indeed, Erina and myself are considered a bit young with regard to marriages that were not previously arranged.

[And ah...] We certainly managed quite the stroke of luck with those 'nickits', didn't we?

I wonder if they always did that, or if it only started after we started showing up...?

[ That has a lot of weird implications though... ]

Oh, I can see why. It's so nice!!

[ Oh. Uh- huh. He wasn't wrong, actually! Even if she did like romance novels- shh- she was still... a lot of things. Young? But let's not go into that. Instead, it sounds like there's a story. And if she fiddles with something, don't mind her. ]

What happened?

I'm not quite certain how, but somehow, a species of pokemon known as 'nickit' managed to steal objects from across the worlds themselves! Things we could ordinarily have never seen again became available as a result- in particular, Erina's wedding jewelry.

Huh... maybe they have something to do with us getting here too? Still, maybe it just wanted to do something nice for you guys. Or it was trying to tell you something. Cross-dimensional thieves are generally pretty impertinent, after all.

Regardless of their reasoning, it was very nice to see it all again! It is my hope that eventually I'll be able to pass it on to someone else. Like a good luck charm, it will be both borrowed and blue.

[Erina giggles a bit.]

But still, it would have been nice for it to not have stolen my wedding ring first.

I suspect I know precisely who could benefit from that as well, [Jonathan chuckles.] But indeed, if we are to be reunited with treasured belongings it would preferably not be through a den of literal thieves.

Though I must admit they were quite clean...

The implications here are astounding and a little hilarious, honestly.

But I'm glad that you were able to make something good from it. And it sounds like you guys really do have someone in mind already.

Do you know? I thought the very same thing, actually. But it is neither here nor there. What matters is only that they are safe and sound.

Even if their arrival was somewhat surprising!

[Jonathan, for his part, simply beams quite widely, a sort of sparkle to his eye.] Indeed~! I can only hope you have the chance to meet who we're speaking of in fact!

[Hopefully they really Are speaking of the same people though!] Though I can think of little more surprising than the various arrivals we've encountered, yes...

Uh- given that they're coming with high reviews, that'd be nice. But who are you talking about?

Renewing your vows... I knew you could get married here, but for some reason I never thought you'd be able to do that, too.

[He really does look puzzled... Maybe. It's kind of hard to tell, when his eyes always look so... vacant.]

What about it seems so odd? It isn't quite the same as a wedding to be sure, but is it not something common where you're from?

No, it's common enough! I guess I just hadn't thought about it...

I imagine it not a topic that one would have reason to think about unless they were married, after all! Perhaps one day you shall be able to experience the same.

Yes! Being able to share that with one's happiness others -

That's a nice thought. It's the sort of thing just about everybody dreams of...

Well, perhaps not quite everyone- I'm certain that for some, even marriage isn't the answer to that- though I shall admit that it was not a thought which occurred to me until I came here!

[But now...He knows! He's learning a lot in this place.]

[... Somehow... it's nice to hear that. He won't comment on it, though.]

Oh, but come to think of it... How does it work? Are there churches here?

[Are people getting married under... What was it called again? Arceus?]

There are, but they're not precisely what we're used to. They seem to be somewhat non-denominational. I believe that's the word. We simply asked to change who they invest the power under.

Precisely as she said- it was quite interesting in fact, as it appears the mild reverence of multiple beings is far more prevelant than any single one. I believe the vows they had prepared made mention of such things as...a triad? I suspect it relates to how closely such beings are to others here.

They were quite baffled when we insisted upon only one being.

[Erina nods in agreement, amused.]

Though, all worked out well enough. It is the only thing one hopes when vowing oneself to one's spouse.

[Huh. This all sounds so… foreign to him. But still…]

Well, I’m glad it all worked out for you! Do you get to have a second honeymoon now?

[To that, Jonathan merely laughs warmly.] In a sense, we've simply extended it quite a bit! But I can certainly see no downside to a 'second' one, [he adds, looking to Erina.]

[Dimitri doesn't really know either of these people, besides the fact that he saw them at the cooking contest, but, well. It's only polite to give well wishes, isn't it?]

Congratulations to both of you. Even if it was an unexpected decision, this is a happy occasion.

Do the pair of you have plans for your own private celebration?

But a small one, yes! We intend to enjoy a small dinner with a few others later this evening.

[Jonathan likewise has no idea who this man is, but he's sure they're pleasant- after all, he took the time to wish them well!]

Oh, that's delightful to hear. Sometimes, small events can have even more of an impact than the grand events people often make a fuss of.

Would it be too amiss of me to request the name of the restaurant? I'd like to send some wine as congratulations. Romantic moments like this should be appreciated.

[Or maybe he's just a HUGE SAP who is riding high on his own recent romantic successes. Who knows!]

I wasn't seriously upset, Jonathan. What the two of you do regarding that is your business, after all, and I have been fairly busy as of late. [Doing what? Who knows. Don't question it.]

Ah, merely just some new members of my little team that are taking some time getting settled in. One is particularly aggressive and while rather cute in appearance, can pack quite a punch when it wants to. [This squirtle is super duper rude and he's still pretty upset at the reason he has gained it, after all!]

But it's nothing I can't handle, just... taking longer than I had thought it would.
