[If Grant listens, he may hear, from down the hall, a door opening.

He'll definitely hear what comes next, because Claude calls it down the hall.]

Hey, Dimitri! Grant's trying to tell me he's not attractive! Do you have any opinions on that?

Grant scrambles out of bed to fling open his own door, which he is for sure going to regret in-- oh, no yeah he already regrets it. Too late.

Even though his voice is audibly hoarse, he can at least be heard pretty clearly:] Dimitri, don't worry about it, Claude and I are just talking!

[There's the definitive thud of someone who walked into either a wall or a door, and then Dimitri's door opens as he stares out.]

Grant! Why on earth would you not think of yourself attractive? You're incredible!

[Claude, still standing in his doorway, is now staring at Grant.] What are you doing up? You're sick! [He's frowning now; this wasn't how it was supposed to go.] You need to go back to bed.

[Well, there was very little chance of that working to begin with, but for better or worse Grant is so focused on arguing (and holding onto the doorframe to keep himself steady that he barely registers the contents of Dimitri's input.] It's-- just, don't worry about it!

[He almost pouts, pushing a hand through his hair to unstick a few sweat-soaked curls from his face - though he has to stop short to keep his hand from encountering the band of his eyepatch.] Well, texting Dimitri wouldn't be as fast.

[Realizing that Grant is actually there instead of yelling from a bed has Dimitri bristle in alarm.]

Grant, you are very handsome and very sick, why are you on your feet?! You are holding onto the doorframe for balance!

[That's it - Dimitri ducks back in, and a beam of red light shoots out into the hallway to form Dean, who raises an eyebrow and adjusts his Hello Skitty reading glasses.]

Dean, help Grant back to bed!

[Claude looks over at Dimitri and Dean.] I get the feeling you guys have this under control now, right? Both explaining to Grant how handsome he is and making sure he takes care of himself? I warned him I'd get you to tell him how good-looking he was if he kept arguing with me about it, but I didn't think he'd actually get up when I did.

[woofdad]

Because I had to tell you not to-- [He sighs. This is getting nowhere, is nobody listening to him!!]

Fine, I'll go back.

[He is definitely pouting now, and... still not gonna address the issue of his appearance. Saying anything to begin with was a slip-up, he's realizing.]

[You better start going back, Grant. Dean is already walking over, gently making sure that Grant stays steady as he ushers him back into his room.]
