[ B time ]
[ She had intended on going out to get some breakfast, maybe bring back a plate for Razor- she hadn't expected to find him up and about. For a moment, Jinx falters. Has anyone else seen him? His fiancé, his other boyfriends--? Would he even want to see her, a teenage stranger he barely knew? ... But he looks so hollow. How could she leave him alone seeing him like that? ]
You're awake. I- I was- we were all worried.

The silence persists for longer than would be considered comfortable. Finally, something clicks into place in his head.]
Jinx. [He says this like a reminder.] Yeah, I've... been up for a few hours.
no subject
I- yeah. That's me. [ She's clearly faltering in the face of an unknown and scary situation, but after a few moments she straightens her back and tries to keep a steady voice. ] Do you need anything? Since I'm already standing, I mean.
no subject
No. I'm not really that hungry. [He scratches at his cheek.] This is all pretty weird, huh? I'm sorry.
no subject
[ And of course he feels the need to apologize. Like it was his fault. He didn't do this on purpose- ]
No, it's not your fault. And I've seen strange things before, back home. ...I'm just glad that you seem to be okay. [ If not a bit out of it. ]
no subject
Yeah, I'm... okay. [Okay seems like a slight exaggeration on his current state, but he didn't want to worry Jinx.]
There was something above my bed this morning. Felix said it was a sigil you made? I... appreciate you looking out for us. For him, especially.
no subject
[ Fuck. Tangible evidence that she cared.
Still, she's allowing him this little stretch of the truth, just this once- but with the pointed look she shoots him for a moment before moving on, it's clear that it's just that: an allowance. ]
Well- I don't know if it really worked here. What with our magics being gone- but. I had to try, didn't I? ... So he's told you what happened, then? On our end, I mean.

[At that, Sylvain's brow pinches. He'd heard... brief bits of information from Felix, but the truth was that he'd been afraid of what he'd left behind in the week he'd been gone. He can guess that his "absence" hadn't been handled well. How badly was anyone's guess, though.]
You say that like I missed something big, Jinx. What happened?

[Sylvain stands up, carefully setting his little plant child down on the couch beside him. He moves over to Jinx and smiles at her. Despite everything, his fear and distress, this at least manages to be genuine.
If there's one thing that hasn't changed, it's the fact that Sylvain has a tendency to look out for those younger or more vulnerable than him.]
Take it easy, Jinx. You don't have to worry about upsetting me. I'm a big knight, I can take it.
no subject
[ And she does look legitimately dismayed at that, if only for a moment. She's used to a lot of things but health scares like this are new to her- even if they knew he'd be fine, physically- and everyone had been upset. ]
no subject
[He was just asleep for an extended period of time, with no chance of being reawakened by an outside force.
... Okay, maybe he can see why she's upset.]
I'm better now, I promise. See, look at me smiling and breathing and talking, just like normal. [And he does smile. It's only slightly fake!]
no subject
Well, you are moving again, so I suppose you're right. But everyone was really worried- and... well. I guess it was a lot. [ And he's awake now which means it's safe to let the jenga tower of Emotions fall. It's not like anything bad's going to happen so soon after, right?
Haha. ]

[Helping other people keeps his mind off of his own problems. He's already standing and making room for Jinx.]
Do you like tea? I'm a bergamot guy myself. I can make us both some, if you want?
no subject
... I've never tried some before.

[He doesn't give her time to say no. He jumps up to his feet perhaps a little too quickly. He pats the top of Inda's head, mumbling to her softly before absconding. He heads off to the kitchens, likely to charm some unfortunate soul.
After watching him go, Inda finally turns to look at Jinx. She blinks twice, face quickly falling into a frown.]
no subject
[ And she hopes Inda can understand where she's coming from- everything's hurting a lot and with that frown she's not sure she made the right decision.
All they can do is wait. ]
no subject
Sylvain doesn't keep them waiting too long at least. He's back with two cups, tea bags slung over the side. They're already steeping in the obviously steaming water.]
Hope I didn't keep you ladies waiting too long.
no subject
... After tea. ]
... Thank you. [ And for a moment she's quiet before she gives Sylvain a very piercing stare- but not unkindly. ] You're going to be okay, you know that, right? I know I just... had all that, but. You're back now, and awake. Everyone's here again.
