[Aw, buddy.

For a moment, as he thinks of a potential solution, Grant finds himself, predictably, shying away from suggesting it, because... well, what if that seems too. Forward? Even though it's a completely non-sexual situation, and also, it's Claude.

But, on the other hand, there's an obvious problem, and an obvious solution, and Claude is literally his boyfriend so it's... not like it's an unreasonable idea.]

...Would it help if I helped keep you warm, too?

Yes. [Claude's response is so immediate, and the look he gives Grant is so plaintive, that it's bound to be flattering. He even raises himself up from Remis, just a tiny bit.] Please?

[It is absolutely flattering, even considering the key motivating factor of Claude's temperature. Grant can't help smiling as he nods in response.

He gives Remis a couple pats (partly to apologize for having to scoot him aside a bit here) before he pulls his legs up and slides further onto the bed, putting an arm around Claude's shoulders. He leans down to kiss his cheek before asking,] Any better?

[Grant, this is apparently not sufficient for Claude.

As soon as Grant pulls him close, Claude actually begins moving on his own. (Not that he doesn't readily accept that kiss.) He moves until he is basically laying on top of Grant, arms wrapped around him and firmly ensconced against his chest. He seems to want - okay, demand - as much full-body contact with Grant as possible.

Only once he's crawled his way into his desired position does he speak. Or, well, hum.] Mmhm. [He's still shivering, but it seems a tiny bit less violent already.]

[woofdad]

[Grant laughs softly and puts his other arm around Claude; if that's what Claude wants, he is more than happy to help.]

Good. [He does lift one hand just long enough to do what he can to make sure the blanket is pulled up over them both, just for that extra insulation, before resting it behind Claude's head, fingers brushing idly over his hair.] Last thing we need is for you to freeze just as the weather's starting to warm up.

[Not that it's been warm out by any means, but... you know. It's getting there.]

[Claude sighs as Grant settles the blanket more securely over them, almost seeming to melt into Grant's chest. He doesn't seem to have the energy or concentration to say or do much of anything else, but Grant will notice, as the minutes tick by, that the shivering begins to become less and less. Something about human body heat...it can't be beaten as a cure for chills.

If you have anything further to say to Claude, Grant, you might want to say it. With the chills passing, Claude in his exhaustion may just doze off in your arms any second.]
