What's that mean...? Is it another language?

[And that's totally good as an explanation, right?]
[Before Dimitri can drift off entirely, a part of his brain still functioning despite the heat and fuzziness of the fever realizes that maybe he needs to say a bit more.]
It's like... Mitya. I am Mitya. And Lushka is Felix. And then Inka, and Sylvasha, and Anliuka. It is all us.
[What he means to say is that it's Ingrid, Sylvain, and Grant. Those words got lost along the way.]

[Claude is touched, despite those names still not making any kind of sense to him. They don't seem to have anything to do with anything; some of them seem vaguely related to the original names, while others...don't at all.]
Does it mean something...? [Maybe the names are in some other language...?]

[This is how you know Dimitri is still sick and in for a loop. Nothing but repetition. Still, as he snuggles against Claude - or, well, forces the reverse to happen - he hums.]
It's your name. And love. And... [What. does he call that again.] The finisher.

I love you too...I don't ever want to leave you. [Claude burrows a little closer, with a faint stirring of unease; the shadows of some of his fears from after Sylvain came back to them are flickering on the walls of his mind.] Any of you.

If we separated... then we would find you again.
We will always find you again, my love. My Lauliusha.

Some part of him - the Almyran part of him, or at least the part of him that tries to at least appear to be properly Almyran - feels mortified by all of this. By his sickness and vulnerability, certainly, but more than that by his neediness. That desire to be cared for and reassured. He should be strong, and capable, and self-sufficient; he should have the skill and capability to care for others, while not needing any outside help in caring for himself.
So perhaps it speaks something of his need, then, that despite the internal cringing, a whisper escapes him anyway.] ...can you say it again?
no subject
We will always find you. You are too precious to be left on your own, Lauliusha.
We will come for you.
[And he shifts, pressing a kiss to Claude's forehead.]

I love you...
can call it around here?
[And with Dimitri, that's never a lie.]
[Gently stroking Claude's hair, he yawns, and snuggles further into the bed.]
Now rest. When you wake up... I will still be here. I will always be here.
