Today, 10 Great Tree Moon - or April 10, if that's more your style - a small section of beach along Olivine's coast has been rendered 'for private use only' for a time.

In Fodlan, Great Tree Moon is the beginning of the new year, coinciding with the onset of true spring. This wedding wasn't deliberately planned as a symbolic expression of this fact, but it's a happy coincidence that it is one.

Those gathered for the event today are a tiny group, by the standards of Kingdom nobility. If this were taking place in Faerghus, every lord and lady would have been expected to show up, bearing lavish gifts and false flattery on their tongues. Here, it's just a bunch of friends and partners, nothing more. And everyone present is likely to agree that this is much, much better.

[Dimitri's message is simple, and heartfelt, and also there are no tear stains on the book because he managed to hold on long enough.]

To a pair of my dearest and most beloved,

More than anything, I am grateful and honored that I was allowed to be here to witness your union. You are two of the most important people in my life, and I want you to be happy more than anything.

I know that the two of you will be able to give that to one another, in a way that no one else can. There is no doubt in my heart that your bond will last eternal.

[On that page and around a few others are various pawprints, clawmarks, and other such things done in ink splotches that have had time to dry a bit. Karimala, being very large, just gave what is presumably a kiss mark from a giant sea creature, and Dean actually wrote... "Be happy" in Fodlish??]

[Zuke, with a multitude of color pens, gave the book to each of his team to sign. Even his Mudbray, Slowpoke, and Ariados gave it a scribble.

Zuke, thankfully, had very neat handwriting:

[Having watched a few other people and Pokemon humor Dean, Razor feels confident enough to approach him. Pup, now a Lycanroc, is quicker to get her pawprint on the page, though.

Following her example, Razor presses four of his fingers to the inkpad, then to the page, next to Pup's. He can't put words on the paper like everyone else, but he hopes it means something all the same.]
