Today, 10 Great Tree Moon - or April 10, if that's more your style - a small section of beach along Olivine's coast has been rendered 'for private use only' for a time.

In Fodlan, Great Tree Moon is the beginning of the new year, coinciding with the onset of true spring. This wedding wasn't deliberately planned as a symbolic expression of this fact, but it's a happy coincidence that it is one.

Those gathered for the event today are a tiny group, by the standards of Kingdom nobility. If this were taking place in Faerghus, every lord and lady would have been expected to show up, bearing lavish gifts and false flattery on their tongues. Here, it's just a bunch of friends and partners, nothing more. And everyone present is likely to agree that this is much, much better.

"I may have played a small part," Claude says with a laugh, slipping an arm around Sylvain's waist in turn. "But it wasn't as big as you seem to think. You and Felix were already in love before I ever entered the picture. And I'm equally sure that you'd have found your way to each other, no matter who helped you - or what stood in your way, for that matter. I'm happy to have facilitated it happening a little faster and easier than it might have otherwise, though."

He leans against Sylvain's shoulder a bit. "Am I intruding? It's been a big day for you - lots of emotion and noise and activity. If you just need to be alone and quiet for a bit, I can give you a special wedding present of going to mind someone else's business."

"Maybe, maybe not." He tilts his head downward, burying it within those waves. Claude is warm in ways that the other men in his life aren't -- Sylvain's certain it has something to do with his Almyran background, but who could say for sure. All Sylvain really knew was that he felt like a flower in this moment, desperately chasing the rays of light that Claude cast off.

"I was alone for long enough." He really doesn't mean for that to sound as deep or profound as it does. "I'd much rather have your nose in my business. That can be your wedding gift to me."

Claude's laughter is certainly a bright burst of sun in the darkness, even as he turns to make that side embrace a full, face-to-face one. "Tease," he says, breath a warm chuckle against the hollow of Sylvain's throat. "Are you tempting me to pre-empt Felix on your wedding night? Or is this the rarest of rare beasts: accidental Sylvain Fraldarius innuendo?"
