[The feed's starting off focused entirely on 'Jack' here, who's set up his gear against something so he could record this. And this time he's not a total nervous wreck while making a post, so hey! Progress!]

So... I got a question, I guess. I haven't been here for that long compared to other people, but uh... well, I have been here long enough to notice some stuff. All these Pokemon, they're pretty varied, right?

But I'm still sorta seeing somewhat of a pattern with some of them. I mean, there's a bunch of species that seem to pop up a bunch? I've seen multiple types of dogs or birds or--

[Sadly the feed is then interrupted, as a very curious gray and white face suddenly takes up the whole screen. Yeah, looks like someone's Glameow decided she wanted to know what's up with this weird thing her trainer keeps staring at.]

Uh... Charlotte, can you please-- [And the next thing on the video is said Glameow's paw pressing against the screen, pushing it over. The sound of the gear hitting the surface it was sitting on is just barely audible.] Okay, yeah, that's- that's not for cats, I'm just gonna...

[Yeah, finally he just picks the thing up. From this angle, there's another cat visible in the background; a Meowth, this time, who's not really doing anything but sleeping.

Charlotte the Glameow doesn't seem to be happy about being kept away from the gear, judging from the dissatisfied "meow!" coming from off screen.]

Okay, note to self, be careful with this thing around the cats. But uh, well, that is kinda relevant to my question. Which is...

I was wondering, exactly, ah... how many different cats are there even here? Just... Just curious.

Oh, her? Yeah, I found her in the city, just sorta... running around on her own.

I figured someone might as well take care of her. She sure doesn't mind.

I dunno, it could be that? I know that's a thing that happens. But... there's a lot of cats in the city, so she might've just been wild.

There are a plethora of cats! There's the two you have there, there's Espurrs, Skitties, Purrloins...oh, Miss Priss isn't about, I was going to show you. But Champagne is!

[Lust tilts her 'gear to show a dapper looking Espeon, blinking lazily.]

They count as cats, if you ask me. They're one of Eevee's evolved forms. And if you count wild cats as cats, there's also litleo and those sphinx Pokemon.

Oh, wow. [That is one pretty purple cat-thing.] Agreed, that definitely looks at least a little feline to me.

And I absolutely count those. I actually have a Litleo myself. Just got her about a week or so ago. The sphinxes are uh... the blue ones, right? Someone I know showed theirs. And my boss has an Espurr, too.

[Which he feels sorry for, because... well, it's hard not to feel bad for one of Jack's Pokemon.]

I didn't expect there to be so many, not after running into so many weird ones.

Isn't he something? They're psychic, and they can predict the weather. Their fur is very sensitive.

I have an Espurr! They're very nervous, sensitive little things. Also psychic - powerfully so.

It is a bit odd. Some of them look positively normal. And some of them...well. Your starter is a Ditto.

Yeah, the one I saw seemed kinda nervous. Uh... hm. How powerful are we talking here?

Right, some of them look like average animals! It almost doesn't seem to all fit together sometimes. I mean, sometimes I go a few days and it all starts seeming normal and then, bam, guy on the network with a freaking... I don't know, Pokeball-looking thing? It's still surreal.

I have heard that they can only be found someplace in the other region we can go to. Kanto, I think it's called.
But you can always be on the lookout for folks selling Skitty eggs, or perhaps one day a mysterious egg will show up and it will have a Skitty inside just for you!

I'm going to have to give that place quite a look when I finally get around to getting there.

[Despite her bubbly exterior and childlike appearance, Manaka is sharply perceptive. This guy looks like Jack, and he sounds like Jack, but... He doesn't quite feel like Jack. Maybe it's the hesitating way he delivers his questions, or maybe it's the fact that he doesn't have a face stapled over his face.

Maybe they're like Jekyll and Hyde! Though she couldn't say which Jack is which.

When she answers, it's with a giggle. Cats are the same everywhere, she guesses, even when they're not quite cats.]

[Of course, Tim has no clue this girl has met Jack already, so he doesn't think much of this. His life would probably be a lot easier if he knew more about the people Jack hangs out with.

My Litwick! [It's sort of a test, to double-check her assumption. Jack has both seen Charlotte and knows Manaka has a particular affection for her, so she won't call the Pokémon in question over until she sees his reaction.] Is she named after anyone, or did you just think it would be a cute name for a cute cat?

Quite a few, actually! Let's see, other than the two you already have, there's...

[He frowns to himself, and starts counting off the evolution lines on one hand.]

Skitty and Delcatty, Purrloin and Liepard, Litleo and Pyroar, Espurr and Meowstic, and Shinx, Luxio, and Luxray for all the Pokemon that are cats without a doubt. Some of the Eevee evolutions turn out more cat-like than fox-like, as well...I can't think of any others off-hand at the moment, but I'm sure there are a few.

Whoa, that is a lot. I was already kinda surprised the first time I saw a different type of cat. Well, I was pretty surprised there even are cats at all, honestly...

But that's good. Good to know. I mean, catching these things is kinda the point, so I might as well see if I can find a few more from that list. [...He just wants a whole bunch of cats. That's it, really.] I already have a Litleo too, she's around here somewhere.

Yeah, it's kind of interesting which kinds of animals actually are represented among Pokemon here. There's plenty of dog-like Pokemon as well, but there isn't nearly as many kinds of bugs bugs as there ought to be, you know?

Oh, you do? That's great! I've got one as well--or, well, a Pyroar--and I've got a Persian and a Luxray as well. Eddie was actually my starter!

I'd come up with some theories, but I'm not exactly an expert when it comes to animals and the ones here are a little... weirder than normal animals anyway, so who even knows. Some of them don't make any sense.

I've got a Meowstic, which evolves from a Espurr. Think there's one called a Meowth too, which likes money.

[Snake knew about the cats he'd met so far. Too bad his cat, Ocelot, was currently undergoing some rigorous training with his friend, Kaz.]

Right... Jack's got an Espurr. And... plenty of Meowth. Seriously, just a lot. I actually got one from him.

The money part's kinda weird. Neat, but, y'know... weird.

[The guy seemed obsessed by it. He even called his horse Butt Stallion who could apparently crap diamonds. Snake didn't believe it much.]

Bet there's loads more cat Pokémon on the Dex. [Now, he's rooting through it.] One called Delcatty and Skitty. Purugly.....quite a few.
