VIDEO - WEDDING INVITES!
[The camera comes on, and Carly is beaming quite happily. Maybe too happily. Maybe-]
A while ago, I announced that Jolyne and I were engaged~ And now, I'm happy to say we have a date for our wedding too!
We decided to keep the invitations part simple...in that other than a few people, well, there won't really be any! Instead, it's open invitation! We'll still have food for everyone at the reception, it just uh, won't be open bar or anything.
In any case, we've booked it for the 22nd this month~! Come on over to Two Island, follow the path behind the Photo Studio, and you'll get there~

[ She actually stared at the post for a bit, surprised that someone was getting married here... but hey, love is love no matter where you are, so she's only surprised for a brief moment. In any case, she never saw any engagement announcements, so clearly it had happened before she woke up and got promptly kicked out into the wilderness.
Well, even if she doesn't know who they are, she can at least give them her best wishes. ]

[wait hang on she's never met-]
Oh wow, I didn't expect anyone new here to say anything though, we haven't met huh...
no subject
[ Plus, it's nice to know that it's peaceful enough here that people can and are finding love and getting married. It's kind of poetic... or maybe just very romantic, considering how everyone seems to be from different worlds for the most part. ]
But we're meeting now, kind of!
[ Hooray for positivity! ]
no subject
And I guess we are! How goes that adjusting?
no subject
[ Mind you, Route 29 wasn't too bad... she just wasn't prepared for her first time traveling like that. ]
Still, this isn't my first rodeo! Er, well, different dimension, I guess... or whatever this is.
[ Plus, she's made friends here! She's fine, even if there's virtually nothing familiar to her here, which actually made this considerably different. ]
no subject
[Rocket Perks; at least they have a bottomless cafeteria and a dorm to start!]
Wait seriously though, it's not the first different DIMENSION you've been to!?
no subject
[ Considering how all four dimensions were connected to dueling now, this place having zero connection to it was definitely new. She’s definitely tried to find anyone she recognizes, but to no avail... which kind of sucks when the first friend you made upon arriving here found like, five of their friends already here. ]
It’s pretty crazy, honestly...

[ text ] un: r.n.
Risotto is mostly watching the video feed for gathering intel. When it's a bright-eyed younger woman who he vaguely recognizes as a fellow Rocket member, he's only mildly expecting something compelling — this is the regular feed, after all.
And ordinarily, he'd have no interest in someone announcing a wedding. It's just that—
She says 'Jolyne' and look, he's not fully familiar with non-Italian names but he's quite certain that that means... ]
You're both women?
[ ...So he asks this compelling question, in probably the worst possible manner. ]

[ Sounds like that shot in the dark hit its target full force, here...
But he can use context clues. ]
If you mean gay people, no, not particularly great.
I'm going to assume this means that's not the case here?
no subject
LGBT -> Lesbian Gay Bi Trans, on that note and it is absolutely A-Okay here yep! Very nice. Kinda refreshing.
You know that's how it is with Riegfried and Soy right? Those pokeprom hosts for this year?
no subject
He just...sits with the middle text a while. Huh.
He didn't think he'd prefer anything about this place, but it seems he was mistaken. ]
Of course I noticed they were a couple. But they're also rich. I just assumed they were playing by different rules than the rest, as usual.
[ Hm. He could stop it there...except he did just interrupt a wedding announcement for this. And she answered his questions. So some honesty instead. ] I was going to ask if you would be safe, but it seems the answer is 'yes'. Good luck.
[ Well, that's certainly his first time wishing a same-sex couple luck with their wedding...sort of pleasant. ]

Then again the country itself has a pretty huge role too...
Yeesh, bitter, not that I can blame you...those two are way more generous than any 1% crowd I've seen.
And of course~ You should drop in, see for yourself~
no subject
[ Okay, fine, he can take a hint and state where he's from. At least it comes ready with an explanation he thinks most other countries would understand, perhaps even in 2020. ] I'm from Italy. It's very Catholic.
And I'm not bitter. Just realistic. [ He is so incredibly bitter. Who knew any of his prior coworkers would have been much safer in an entirely different world than the one they all started in?
(Well, no one can get killed here either, so 'strange land with Pokémon' was already winning, to be fair. But still. This one is almost more unexpected.)
Also unexpected: a direct invitation. ]
I'm struggling to see the appeal of inviting strangers to a wedding. Or is it only because there's a limited number of us, here? [ No family members... Perhaps it's not such a struggle to understand after all. ]
no subject
ah, yes] Hooooo, yep. That would do it...that sure would do it...
Man it's really amazing how things flipped around in some countries, the Romans were all about that kind of thing weren't they? [Well. For the guys at least, so maybe that's not the best thing to ponder. AH WELL.]
Pretty much that yeah. Aside from not too many of us being here, a lot of people come and go at the drop of a hat. Eventually you end up all knowing the other just by virtue of well...being here for more than three months.
And I mean some of us just work together depending on... ...though with how long it takes to get through the Elite 4, that's not nearly as likely!

me looking at the calendar 'heck that's today i gotta type that damn wedding log,'

[She doesn't quite know Carly, but Sasha definitely knows Jolyne and her boobs, so perhaps that's enough to send some well wishes.
But more importantly:]
Will there be cake?
no subject
And of course! There's going to be plenty of food! We made sure to order stuff we could put leftovers away for so that we could also order in excess.
[Smart....But smart enough to handle...SASHA???]
no subject
It may be somewhat difficult for me to arrive to Two Island... I have not visited any of those places just yet, and I am trying to save.
Still! I will be certain to send a wedding gift along, and of course my congratulations. This sounds as though it's going to be a pleasant affair.
no subject
Save..? ...Oh! The ferry. Sorry it took me a minute, I actually drove our house here, haha..! [The house is a boat, so.]
Awww you don't have to do that...but thank you in advance all the same!
no subject
[They were nice pictures! Although... Dimitri cocks his head to the side at Carly's words.]
May I ask what you mean when you said that you 'drove' your home there?
[Is that a thing that can happen in this place? Dimitri knows of wagons that sometimes can be slept in, but...]
[Introduce this man to houseboats and mobile homes]

I needed something I could live in while doing work near Whirlpool- there's not uh, there's not really any real-estate out there though, especially with it being under the watchful eye of Lugia and all that...
But we had an agreement! ...The agreement was basically not littering, and maybe picking up what I found along the way while I was out there. Not a bad deal, but it was also just kind of not the best scenery sooooo...
no subject
That sounds like an incredible contraption.... It must have left quite a sense of freedom to you, although I suppose one would have to have the proper sea legs to enjoy it properly.
[RIP to the people with sea sickness]
And Lugia is... one of the Legendary Pokemon, is that correct? I didn't know that was a being that could be chatted up like that...
no subject
That kind of deal.
[Lugia though.] Well, if I'm being honest it wasn't really...chatting up in the normal sense...
But yeah, that's one of the big guys here! Gave me a necklace on Christmas once, that was wild.
no subject
[The ship to Cianwood had been nice in that way as well, honestly, although still a bit much. Yet it went through quite a bit, he supposes, he hadn't been specifically made with such things in mind.]
[Anyway. Lugia.]
That is rather incredible... They must have thought quite well of you.
