[VIDEO] - DIDNEY WORL
[OPEN - VIDEO - FUCHSIA CITY]
[The backdrop, is clear as day. A smiling, beaming mascot Rattata. An equally cheerful Ducklett mascot. And two kids, dressed rather adorably if not a little bit over the top in what looks to be a blend of sailor style clothes and lolita dress.
Maria was convincing, Emporio had little thought one way or another, and so after a week of cycling around, the two of them are appropriately dressed as 'witches', or so he has been firmly told.
And now, they're in the most magical place of all!]
Um, Hi everyone!
Hello!!
It's...hah, it's been a while, I forgot to really message a lot of people...I wanted to say that we got to Fuchsia a while ago, but we got really distracted at the park here.
Everyone should come! It's the most magical place there is!
What Maria said..! The rides have been really, really great! Oh, and-
[He looks up, and whoever is holding the camera (presumably his haunter, if anyone) moves it upward to better catch the mascots. Both are waving eagerly at the camera.]
They say hi too!
[CLOSED - ACTION - BACKDATED PRE AUCTION, CELADON]
[When they arrive, the first thing Emporio does is find the Pokemon Center so that they can stay in a building for a bit. The tent is great, and he's made sure that they have all they need to enjoy a good summer in it, but sometimes you just need a proper bed.
Celadon wouldn't ordinarily be his next goal on the map; while the badge is definitely one that he can handle, Vermillion is just a bit out of the way in the sense of needing to cross it off sooner, but between Maria's growing realisation of how close they are to their park-time goal, and the fact that she herself doesn't have nearly the firepower to handle the gym (let alone Sabrina's, back when they passed through Saffron), the badges don't even come to mind. Maybe they can make use of the teleports instead, handle one or two that way.
For now though, he needs to bring up something a bit vital.]
Okay...the next week is going to take us down Cycling Road, [He warns, not including the auction in the middle of it. It's fine, UBird can bring them back to where they were, even if they'll refuse to bring them straight to the city instead.
....Or, well, maybe UBird can just bring them back to Celadon, but sure okay.] ...But, the problem is, we can't actually use the carriage on it. It'll be fine in the bag, but they won't let us take that route unless we're biking.
Sooooo... [He pauses, and breathes. Hopefully Maria likes the sound of a shopping day?] Weeeee...need to get the right clothes, and the best spot would be at the department store here.
[Sound good?]

[That...must be sort of weird. He tries not to ask about how weird that must have been. ]

...I wonder how the evolution tree looks...um
...that was probably not really sensitive huh...
Someday I'll remember the format of this thread is2g...
It's fine, I'm used to being around people who are always wondering about that stuff. Well, not that specifically, but you know. People who want to understand everything.
[He shrugs.]
I'm not offended.
WHOOPS MY B,,,
[Emporio that's concerning,]
No it was me... again... lol
Why couldn't you ask things where you come from?
rip...
Oh-
Uh...there weren't really a lot of people around I could talk to, I guess...
[Ever! Ever ever ever, he should probably not let on too much or it's going to get weird, he realizes.]
Re: rip...
Why not? What kind of people are we talking about?

If I say it outright, you'll think it's weirder though...

Besides, I told you I'm actually a duck, come on man.

...I grew up hiding in a prison....

[He's not going to make it a huge, freaky deal, because he pretty much just promised he wouldn't, but- Yikes. So as much as he'd like to ask what he was hiding from, and why in a prison, and so much more...]
I'm sorry, that really stinks.

[Somehow he's made it worse though!]

[He's trying so hard not to comment on the "sleeping in a piano" thing.]

Where I came from, some people have 'Stands'. They're like...super powers I guess? Most of them actually materialize as some kind of being, but mine never could. Instead, I could interact with Ghost locations and objects- memories of buildings that used to be there, that got destroyed and built over.
...or just destroyed. I found out I can go into the Ghost Tower where the Burned Tower in Ecruteak is during the weird dimensional weekends, haha...
Um, anyway. The prison burned down at one point in history- and then they built over it. So there was a whole version of the place that just....couldn't be seen or entered by anyone else unless they knew it was there. I was pretty careful about that last part though.

That sounds like it could be so useful, wow! Sneaking around and getting into the most secret places... Stinks you can't normally do it here.

It has to be a building that's been destroyed, and has something built over it, or still standing. Even during those weekends, I could only really look around places like the Ruins of Alph, or the Burned Tower...
...if we could get to Cinnabar, I could try more there, but I don't think we can do that, [he laughs.]

...though, the backpacks here seem to have a lot more space than there actually is anyway...
