it’s clear from the start of the video that aside from the new starly perched on his head and the new backdrop of cherrygrove, he was clearly very, very distraught. it honestly looked like he hadn’t slept for the night, with disheveled hair and slight bags under his eyes. aside from the fact that he’s never really seen an aurora borealis, the stars in the sky were bringing back really, really bad memories. he’s at least thankful that the little bird pokémon was on his head in the first place— his presence made it a lot more easier to articulate his emotions without screaming his lungs out.

Can someone please explain the phenomena in the sky?! Those seekers only made me even more confused and I can’t wrap my head around anything they said, aside from their Lost Temple or whatever nonsense they were spouting...

[ the starly chirps a couple times on his head, as if to say calm down, it’s nothing too serious. sandalphon only gives him an annoyed look before continuing. ]

I suppose I can’t argue that. Gabriel here sure enjoys decorating things, and it’s simply a mass of… something.

No, I'm a Gem! We come from much further away than the moon. But I'm a human now - for more than two years.

Oh mine do all sorts of things! Some of them even sing and make music with my husband and I.

I think I do, at least a little. I've always been fascinated by humans, they're so different than my people. But being able to be one, to feel what it really feels like to be human...

I think so. Humans are one of the most amazing species in the universe...There's so much to learn from them. I've watched them for thousands of years and there's still new things I'm learning.

And there's a great deal to learn from Pokemon, too.

I’ve learned a lot from humans too, so that I can’t argue. But I still think it’s different actually being one.

Eating is strange, for example. I’ve never had to eat a day in my life.

The first food I ever ate here was ice cream. I suddenly understood why humans love it so much! I like eating.

A little! It's eaten the same way, but ice cream is creamy and more substantial than shaved ice. It's made with milk instead of water!

Oh, that definitely sounds interesting— though I believe they called it soft serve back home. I’ll have to write that down somewhere so I don’t forget.
