Yeah, it's too far on foot. And there's no vehicles around.

[It's probably going to be Lance. He agrees.]

[Hunk nods, finally dragging himself to his feet.]

I'm ready, I think. Let's go before my stomach changes its mind or something.

[He reaches a hand down as Hunk stands, to help him up.]

Sounds like a plan. Let's get moving.

[He stumbles for a second, but catches his footing.] Yeah. We're almost close to real food, and proper beds. I hope.

[He automatically shifts his weight to block the inevitable, sudden appearance of his Gastly -- who decides to show up whenever someone mentions "spirit" or "ghost" or anything related to those words.]

[Hunk smiles up at Shiro, but he notices the little critter appear behind him and raises an eyebrow.]

Shiro... this is probably gonna sound as weird as everything else I've been saying, but... I think there's something behind you.

If it's purple and smiling, it's Gastly. Don't worry about it. I can't make it stop doing that.

[Said ghost just grins. Bobbing up and down cheerfully.]

[Well... It looks happy enough. Hunk just nods, giving the pokemon a smile.]

Hey, if it's not going to eat me, I'm good. Where'd you get it?

[And Gastly bobs happily, twirling around.]

Nah, it won't. Maybe lick, but not eat. [A little shrug.] There was a festival when I first got here -- Ecruteak City? He showed up there.

[Like a puppy? Can't be that bad.] Oh... Wait, they have festivals and stuff here?

Lick. Apparently it either causes paralysis or it's poisonous.

[It's that bad.] Seems like it.

EH?! Shiro, that's dangerous!

[Hunk grabs for his arm. WHY.] A-and you're sure it isn't going to attack you? Or all of us?

It's not dangerous. It's about as threatening as Lance.

[The Gastly is nodding gravely. Please don't hate him, new friend.] If it wanted to hurt me, or anyone else, it already would have.

[And Lance isn't really threatening at all, at least not to Hunk. The boy sighs in relief, then nods.]

So it's... not going to attack then. Well, that's a relief! Spooked me is all.
