So...obviously the islands are a pretty popular place right now.

[It looks like Korra is broadcasting from her little beach house, part of the main house area can be seen behind her. But it sounds...loud, despite only a sleepy Arcanine visible in the background.]

Really popular, actually.

So popular there's people camping in my front yard.

[The gear turns and...yup, a ways down from Korra's front door are three tents, a fire ring, a cooler and some beach chairs.]

I'm not sure if they realize it's my front yard, but there's a lot of beach camping going on right now and my front yard happens to be the beach. I'm not sure if I should tell them to move, charge them for it, or just feel mildly bad that my two Pikachu are totally going to steal their cooler the first chance they get.

They've been eyeing it all morning.

If it's you yard, I'd say you've got every right to charge. Guess it depends on how much you want to?

I remember one time, someone passed out in one of the arenas as the Training Center. They were there after closing. Kinda made things awkward- but that's just one guy. This sounds way more excessive.

It kind of seems a little petty...but it is my beach. But a lot of people think my house is an equipment shed. Because it used to be an equipment shed. So I can't completely blame them.

They aren't being too loud or disruptive, not any more than anybody else really. Wasn't expecting to wake up to tents in my yard, though.

Guess it also depends on how respectful they are. If they're making a mess and aren't cleaning it up? Definitely put your foot down.

[Otherwise... ugh. Who knows what kinda waste they might make? Not to mention any longterm damages to the shoreline.]

I'm not sure if they're even awake yet, so I guess I'll just see how it goes.

I can't be too upset with them just being there.

Even if it spoils the view. But I get that view every day.

There no open parks or campgrounds they can use instead? Gotta admit, I don't know all the ins and outs of the islands. ...One of these days I gotta spend moe time down there.

They fill up and people just camp on the beach. It's not usually a big deal, there's plenty of public beach to be had.

Maybe I need a sign...

Sign wouldn't hurt. Besides, you could always get some extra pocket change without charging an arm and a leg. Could be as simple as, "hey, you're on my beach. Pay me a small fee, and you can crash here."

I could always put up a sign warning that this portion of the beach is patrolled by a giant dinosaur. I mean Princess isn't dangerous at all, but she sure looks it.

I guess I could monopolize this whole thing. Monotonize? Make money off of it.

It's their turf. That kind of makes it theirs, right?

It's Tunna and Orki, they think all food in the world belongs to them.

That's how I got them in the first place, I found them in my pack trying to steal all the food out of it.

[It's funny now. It was less funny when they were having to clean up after the two Pikachu and Steve's own Arcanine.]

They're awful! And I can't lie, I kind of want to see them drag a whole big camping cooler off into the wilderness. Just to see if they can.

Kind of makes me glad I know where you live. Bessie would not be happy if they got hold of our food.

not this time of year, we get a ton of tourists and visitors.

and it's pretty normal for people to camp on the beach, there's a lot of public beach space.

a lot of people don't realize my house is a house. it used to be an equipment shed for fishing and boating gear.

Do you still have boats near your house?

there's my two little boats, and a fishing dock. it's an easy mistake to make.

i do! or just take my boat out a little ways and hang out in the shallows and watch pokemon

It sounds very peaceful.

it is! especially on really clear days when you can see a lot of Pokemon.

I don't think they realize they're in my yard.

But I wouldn't say no to a cola.

Oh man, I can see where that'd be a problem... [As he says this, Gobo looks around with a little concern. He may not be on the beach, but he is at the islands following his exploration of the temple-- Can't hurt to make sure he's not on someone's property, himself.]

It does look they're having lots of fun, though... Maybe you could join 'em?

It's not too big a problem, really. Just unexpected! They might want to move anyway, though, unless they want to deal with my training sessions. I like to spar with my Pokemon on the beach.

I do have to get to work, but I'm gonna leave a note just letting them know they're technically on my beach so please keep it clean and not too noisy late at night. As long as they're cool, I don't mind them here, and I just might see if they want to hang out later.

That sounds like a good plan! Hopefully they'll respect what you ask.

But, uh... Do you really spar with your Pokemon? I mean... Most of them are really tough! I'm impressed.

I do! I'm pretty tough myself. But I only spar with ones I'm evenly matched with. Pretty sure my giant dragon or dinosaur would just crush me.

Yeah, I bet you must be! Although, heh, avoiding a fight with a giant dragon sure sounds smart.

So, is that your life here? Training with your Pokemon on an island? It doesn't sound bad!

Sort of! I'm kind of like a park ranger, I guide people around the island and give them information and I look after the big public beach. I like it a lot, I'm out in nature every day and I get to meet all kinds of people.

Well, that just sounds great! Seriously, is that the kind of job anyone can get in on?

Almost anybody! As long as you're a strong swimmer and have some wilderness experience.

Ya don't say! Well, as a Fraggle, I've certainly got the swimming down. And after years of being an explorer, I'd say my wilderness experience is good, too. I'll have to look into this!

If you want to come out to the islands and just sort of follow me around for a day to see what it's like, you can do that.

I'm not that worried about it, they're on the beach part. I'm just going to let them know, when I can catch them to talk to them.

They're probably not going to be assholes. Most people aren't.

What island are you on anyway? I'm out on Two- not a...Not a lot of real-estate, Jolyne and I set up house and such on the water if anything.

Yeah I'm on the one that does have a population and real estate! Even if it's kind of small. But I like it, and I really like working in the wilderness and on the beach here.

What do you do out there?

I think I technically work for the local parks and recreation department, I'm a wilderness guide and trained lifeguard. I basically babysit tourists.

I really don't mind it most of the time. It can be a lot of fun. But the annoying ones...are really annoying.
