001 ✶ video
[The feed opens on a young girl, who's staring at the camera very quizzically... until she notices the little light went on.]
Huh? Did it do something? [There's a cry of "Happy!" off-screen for a second and the screen 'shakes' slightly, as if someone's tapping the gear that's recording.] Oh... Do you know how this works? I'm not really sure what I'm...
[She stares some more at the screen, tilting it left, then right... even flipping it upside down. Then she blinks a few times as some of the information on the screen finally registers...]
W-Wait, can people see me through this? Um, I... I'm... [She looks around nervously, before reaching down and picking up a Happiny, which she quickly hides her face behind.] You... You say something instead...! I don't know what I'm supposed to do... [The little Happiny looks very confused, but her trainer is still hiding behind her.]
Um. Is there really someone out there? I'm really lost.
[...Like this it does almost seem like it's the Happiny talking instead of the girl. That's one way to talk to the network. She does, shyly, poke out her head juuuust a little. But it's really just the top of her face that's visible now.]
I'm looking for my friends. Jude? Milla? Can you guys hear me? Alvin?
...Teepo?
[Oh geez, at that last name she almost sounds close to tears.]

Do not be afraid, young one. This world may be strange, but it is safe. Your friends will certainly see this if they are here.
[...Okay, maybe she's a little scared.]
They have to be here... We were all together. So everyone else has to be here too...
[She's clutching the Happiny tightly, but at least she doesn't seem to mind being squeezed like that.]

[As for HER being alone...well.]
And that Pokemon there is meant to be your new companion.
no subject
[She sounds suspicious, yet slightly hopeful. It would be better if that were the case, in some ways, but...]
...I don't need a new companion. I need my old one. [She's still holding the Happiny anyway, since... the problem isn't really with her at all.] I need Teepo...

You're doing quite well with the Pokégear; everyone on the network can see you properly.
[Now, with the good news out of the way...]
I'm afraid those names are unfamiliar to me, but they might still be present in this world. Newcomers arrive every two weeks or so, just as you did. If your friends are here, they'll surely see your message.
[It's such a weird device. Nothing like they have back home.]
I hope so... Because they definitely have to be here. We can't get separated now...
[He envies them. Whisperweed is great, but not nearly as convenient.]
That means very little to whatever brings us here, I'm sorry to say. My friends and I were in the middle of a dangerous situation ourselves, yet I was the only one who woke up in New Bark Town that day.
[Or a Spyrite, for that matter. It doesn't seem like there's anything spirit-related involved at all.]
That doesn't make any sense. Why would I end up here all alone? I should at least have Teepo with me. He's always with me.

Come on, Rakka. You can't just sit and watch here.]
Hello? H-hi. You must be worried about your friends. [Just like her when she arrived here.]
But, try not to worry! Because if they're here, then they'll be able to hear what you just said.
I don't know what I should do...
[...Oh dang it. She didn't want to make this worse....]
... I'm sorry, this must be really confusing and scary for you.
[There are many more problems relating to that, but... Yeah, let's go with that.]
I just... don't get why I'm here. We were finally all together again...
Video
[Ugh, it's always extra heart wrenching when kids show up.]
It's okay, this little machine is like magic telephone with a tv screen! Uh, if you know what a telephone is. You're completely safe, I promise! I know this is really weird...
I'm Jimmy! Jimmy Darling!
Re: Video
[Spryrixes can do all sorts of stuff, after all.]
...I'm Elize Lutus.
Video
It's nice to meet you, Elize.
Video
[Seriously, that's some crazy stuff.]
Um... Yes. Nice to meet you.
[...Yeah, she's a shy one alright.]

You're new here too, then? I guess it's a small consolation that you're not the only one who showed up here out of nowhere and doesn't really know what's going on.
You just ended up here too? So we're both lost...
[It helps, a little, that they have something in common.]
Um... Are you from Elympios?
[That's where she was when she ended up here, so wouldn't it make sense he was there too?]
Erm... no, I'm not from Elympios. I'm from Republic City, though... I imagine you haven't heard of it.

...Really? So... there's no one dangerous here?

I've never met anyone like that. [Her expression shifts to a smile as she continues.] And even if one does show up, I bet your little friend there is stronger than she looks!

I'm afraid it's unlikely--though not impossible--that your friends aren't here. But if you'd like help, you need only ask what you'd like to know.

[At that offer, she pauses. What should she ask?]
...Is... Is there a way to get back to where I was?
