[Cylva wakes up uncomfortable, considering she's an over six foot tall woman who was crammed into a twin bed, not surprising.
What is surprising is the woman telling her to get up and shoving a bag into her hands and shooing her out the door. She's started a life in a new world before, but that time was much less bewildering. Or maybe she was just too far gone to care--even odds.
After getting chased out of the house, she sits on the grass with the bag that had been shoved into her arms, methodically going through its contents. The handbook she reads first, noting the mentions of pokemon, then she examines the Gear closely, and finally the ball she'd removed from the top of the bag.
Opening it reveals what she assumes to be her travel partner, a snowy-furred creature with a singular scythe-like horn and huge black claws.]
Hello, there.
[Her new Absol is visible in frame when finally she makes an appearance on the network, having spent some time (what's a few hours when you've literally zoned out for years) familiarizing herself with how the device seemed to work. They look a pair, between the white fur and white hair.]
Good evening. My name is Cyella.
[Well, it has been for the last five years or so. Who's counting?]
From what I understand, I cannot ask which way would lead me back to where I came from, so I will simply ask--which way to the nearest town that has more than a handful of people in it?
[Preferably a tavern too, though she's not saying that part out loud. She actually feels cold, her leg fell asleep long ago, and she's slowly realizing that a) she has an actual body again and b) that might be more of a curse than a blessing. Since she might be able to manage it now, she wants to get stupendously drunk.]

But all of that was in the past, and hardly relevant here anyway.
Despite her blunted ears, he does recognize her. That she would appear so soon after Estinien's departure is interesting. Disappointing, too, but Emet-Selch isn't interested in addressing that. She should consider herself privileged that he answers her at all, but so too does he turn on the video, not that he believes she'll recognize him looking as he does.]
Cyella, is it? Well, you are quite right that returning back from whence you came is out of the question, but if you wish for a town to blend in with, you might find one due west of you—though I pegged you for more of a loner.
Color me surprised.
video;
He's right though--she doesn't recognize him. She'd dealt with Mitron and Loghrif, met Elidibus briefly, knew Igyeorhm had been responsible for the darkness that consumed the Thirteenth. The rest of the Ascians were unfamiliar to her.
Even so, she doesn't like his tone.]
Color me surprised that a stranger thinks he knows enough to peg me as anything.
video;
My apologies, you remind me of someone I once knew.
[Not entirely untrue.]
Where are my manners? I am Solus zos Galvus, I have been held captive here for quite some time. If you have any further questions about this queer place, I might answer them.
video;
[She doesn't recognize him, despite the distinctive face. And hair, for that matter. Likely he does simply know another person that looks like her...]
Well then, is our presence here as...aimless as it seems?
[She can handle monotony but after having a goal to work towards, finding herself tasked with animal husbandry is a let down.]
video;
[He cannot help how that makes his smirk tug even more at his lips, but he pays it no mind, and neither should she.]
Unfortunately, yes. Some have used this world to live a better life than their original ever granted them. A break from their duties, in a sense. Admittedly, such peace to those more accustom to aught but seems all rather tedious. More akin to torture than the balm others would believe it to be.
In which category will you find yourself, I wonder...

[Jane just smiles, congenial, friendly. Literally nothing about her seems like it's anything less than the truth.]
[Video]
I believe you are correct. At least, according to the sign.
A few days is a helpful estimate, thank you.
[She ought to be able to extrapolate a little from there. Possibly even make it shorter, considering she doesn't really have to sleep.
(Or so she thinks.)]
[Video]
It's just a bit rough starting out, considering you'll only have so much in the way of supplies. My best advice would be not to eat the berries you might find growing in the area - they make people sick, but Pokemon can enjoy them just fine.
[Video]
Noted, though eating unknown fruits really wouldn't be my first plan...
At least that will help you.
[The second part is directed towards the Absol sniffing the screen.]

Cyella, huh?
[He doesn't sound convinced, but he's only teasing.]
That's a new one.

Ardbert?
[Putting aside her own name change for a moment, that's not important.]

[He forgets how he looks now, been too used to seeing the Warrior of Darkness looking back at him when he looks in a mirror. He's sure he's alone though. It's been long enough that even someone as non talkative as that would have made their presence known.
He glances down at himself, then back up to her looking sorry for the potential confusion.]
It's a... long story. But hey, it's been a while! Do you recall being here before?

What? No.
[Not in the least.]

And hooboy. Define 'more than a handful', because as much as Cherrygrove is something it's....
[She waggles a hand.] More of a resort town? Not really a place with a lot of resources, I would say...
VIDEO
[She thinks. Maybe. Granted, it's been a long time since she had to worry about travel rations or really anything other than appearances.]
Even though my traveling days have been rather behind me, this doesn't seem sufficient, is all.

Honestly I've been trying to work with New Bark to set some kind of...starting out deal to help people out more; a three day trip is no joke, especially when you hit winter. It's...slowgoing.
Still though, you should at least be able to find tents and such at Cherrygrove. I'm pretty sure they know to expect people in need of the supply by now.

With these supplies, though, I can see why winter would especially be a challenge. And children are expected to do this?

Good evening, Cyella. It seems as though you have already gotten quite a few answers... Will you do all right on the journey to Cherrygrove? The seasons are shifting, and it can get quite cold at night.
video;
[She's certainly not staying here.]
Though it seems I may be going the other direction.
video;
[Dimitri doesn't think it would be impossible, with a bit of determination and maybe the experiences of someone who lived for five years in either slums or wilderness, but it is, uh..... not advisable. Especially with winter coming on.]
So you are taking the boat from that small town? I wish you a safe journey, although that means our path may cross in Kanto. I am curious... Is it the kind of boat that is familiar in your homeland?
Re: video;
[She shrugs.]
A boat's a boat, just so long as it stays above the water.

Video
I suppose you may have learned this already, but the route west of New Bark Town will take you to Cherrygrove City in a few days' walk.
Video
I've a friend in Kanto...I understand that it's possible to go there from here, though maybe not common?
Re: Video
That's certainly also an option. You'll have to pay for passage on a ship out of your limited starting funds, but on the other hand, you won't have to walk.
Video
[She sighs. She had just accepted her fate as a tavern wench in perpetuity, and now this.]
I'd thought my traveling days behind me, though it seems fate makes fools of us all.
