Feeling My Way Through the Darkness (Intro Catch-All)
Who: Princess Allura and YOU!
Where: Route 29, Cherrygrove City, and Four Island
When: Around October 10
Summary: In which the Pokémon world gets a new Space Elf Lion Princess (again) and settles in... while getting a crash course in backpacking.
Rating: PG-13 for cussing and really nasty Voltron elements... and apparently Pidge and Lance being TOO MARRIED. (Season 6-8 spoilers for Voltron: Legendary Defender in some threads)
A. Guided By a Beating Heart (Network, Video)
[Well... waking up in the strange house alone had been unnerving, to say the least, especially with the woman blithely claiming to be Allura's mother... Too many fresh wounds involving her own parents, or too-cheery simulacra of parents... But at least this almost-mother wasn't trying to make her stay, or drive a spaceship into a supernova. In fact, it was almost a relief to be shoved out the door.
At the very least she should check this network, see how much of this is a dream or illusion, how much a hostage situation. She means to start composing a text message (at least she can make out the keyboard, thank goodness for the PokéGear's translator function), when a tiny white nose presses a different button, and the first thing people might see is an intense close-up of a white Vulpix face before humanoid hands start to pull the body away from the camera.]
Ah ah ah, little one, that isn't--
[The gentle but firm correction freezes when oh. ... The little blinking is on... complete with a camera preview...]
... Ahem! [This is fine, she can salvage this, she's not nervous you're nervous!] Greetings. I am Allura, Paladin of the Blue Lion. [She thinks half a tick later that maybe she should have kept that under wraps in case this whole situation had something to do with the Galra, but... it seems peaceful here. Besides, after the string of Coalition shows, it'd be hard to keep her identity a secret.] I seem to have arrived on this planet rather unexpectedly. The... gracious woman in the house I found myself in... was able to provide some instructions and supplies, but any further assistance- especially in terms of the sociology and technology levels of this planet- would be much appreciated.
B. I Can't Tell Where the Journey Will End (Action, Cherrygrove City)
[Of course, sleeping outside on cold, hard ground for three nights straight with only a nylon bag and Coressa's fluff for comfort was draining on her. Even with everything she's lost, at least in the Castle of Lions she still has the luxury of sleeping in her own bed, with perfectly comfortable bedding and a mountain of pillows... and she's missed having the mice to sleep on the pillow next to her, even with Coressa's company. So you might find a tall young woman with bags under her eyes and a very, very messy mop of moon white curls looking at the entrance spa with envy.]
No, no, no... I have no idea how long it will be before I find a way home, I need to manage my resources wisely. ... Even if it has been ten thousand years since I've had a proper massage...
[And that crick in her neck could definitely use one... Still, she's suffered worse, she can endure this much.]
C. But I Know Where to Start (Attack on Voltron House)
[The ride from Cherrygrove to Four Island had been interesting... especially once Allura stopped panicking that there was no way this three-foot-seven cloud bird could possibly hold the weight of two fully-grown Altean women together. It took a full ten minutes before she reached that point, and even once they reached solid ground, Allura had to pry herself away from Romelle and her Altaria. (Maybe it was a good thing her super strength was taken away...)
But now she’s on solid sand and... actually, this beach is rather pretty. The shore nestled in on all sides with cliffs while the sea and sky stretched on and on in sapphire and turquoise. ... The lack of any of Altea’s stealth predators or rarely-surfacing sea monsters helped with the view, although she’s sure this place has its own odd fauna.
And the house... it’s still so odd to think of her friends being in this world long enough to have a residence, not just shelter. But it looks safe and peaceful, even quaint, and at least large enough to hold her without being too crowded. It helps that she and Coressa have been traveling light.]
So... this is our house?
[Come welcome your old-new housemate, guys.]

RBF, if you will. Resting Bovine Face.]
no subject
[Oh... that sure is a Resting Bovine Face. She thinks it's just the marking, but can't quite tell yet.]
Ah, hello... are you a Pokémon as well?
[Obvious question, she knows, but she doesn't know yet.]
no subject
The Miltank stares at Allura into the camera for a few moments before opening her mouth and letting out a sound that honestly could lean either way whether it's a greeting or a insult. The facial expression gives no one any clues here.
A possible translation comes from a bit a ways away, offscreen, from the other side of the beach:]
Shut up, Kaltenecker. No one asked your opinion!
no subject
Wait, Lance? Lance, is that you?
[Surprise, it's the space elf lion princess!]
no subject
Put my gear down! Stop touching my stuff! Stop bothering people on the net--
[He's cut short by that ever so familiar voice and suddenly, the camera is yanked away from the Miltank to focus on Lance, fresh from ocean swimming, wet curly hair plastered to his forehead.]
Allura?
[Well, who else would it be, genius? No one else says your name like "Lonce".]
no subject
Yes! Oh, it's so good to see you. [Yay, not being completely cut off from the team!] Are you all right? You're soaking wet.
no subject
[Little does he know this is all brand new to Allura again. For what, the third time? There is no "back" for someone who doesn't even remember leaving.]
no subject
Back? I just arrived about a quintant ago, roughly. Do you have any idea where we are? Are the others with you?
no subject
[That's all Lance starts out with, the realization that not only is Allura new, she's new new, hitting hard and fast. As in she has zero memory of this place. It's always difficult trying to maneuver and explain how this place works over and over to the same people, but surely it has to be harder on the people who come back.]
Shiro's here. And Pidge. [A pause because he's unsure if he should add the next part, but Lance might as well.] Hunk and Keith used to be here. So you were, but I get it. You don't remember being here. It happens.
[Too often for his liking, really.]
no subject
Wait, I was?
[Yyyyyeah no, not liking the sound of this already.]
Are you all safe at least?
no subject
[Surely this is not the least bit comforting to Allura, but Lance can't really help that. He's at least telling her the truth and not prettying it up. She deserves that much at the very least.]
We are. Nothing bad happens here, unless you count your Pokemon not listening to you. [And that is said with a very pointed look towards Kaltenecker, who has been glaring at Lance all this time for taking the gear out of her hoovers. Her trainer will pay for that; it's been a while since she last broke his nose.] Do you know where you are? I can come get you and bring you to the house. I'm sure Shiro won't mind.
no subject
[Oh Ancients... reality shenanigans again. One thing at a time, Allura. But she does sigh in relief at the end of the spiel.]
Well... I'm glad all of you are safe at least. And thank you, that would be welcome.
no subject
With her agreement, Lance starts bending over to grab his shirt from the pile of clothes left behind on the sand and tugs it on awkwardly with one free hand. Can't put down the gear while talking with the princess. That would be rude.]
Where are you anyway? Still by the crazy chick who thinks she's everybody's mom?
no subject
[Yyyyeah Allura's just gonna cringe and glare at him.]
If you mean "am I on Route 29," then yes, yes I am.
[NOT THE MOTHER!]
no subject
Yeah, that's what I meant. Easier to find you when it's somewhere I know. [The shirt's half on, but he didn't bother drying off first, so it'll take Lance longer to get to Allura than expected.] Lemme just get dressed and fly over there.
no subject
[Exactly, she had a very nice mom too, one that she's still mourning. (Even if DreamWorks can only remember her occasionally...)]
Good, I'll try to find a landmark to wait by.
[The little white Vulpix pops her head into the frame long enough to give him a few polite barks. See you soon, human~]
no subject
[It's clearly a joke on his part if the stupid grin on his face is anything to tell by. Though, wouldn't Allura love to try one here made with high quality MooMoo Milk straight from Kaltenecker 2.0?
He's just about to click off when that little white head stops him and demands his attention.]
Is that your starter?
1/2
[BIGGER GRIMACE. Thank you VERY MUCH, Lance Insert-Surname-Here, for reminding her of that nightmare you VERY recently inflicted on her and Coran!]
2/2
[However, drawing attention to the cute little foxie-loxie buys him some mercy... for the moment.]
Yes, it is. The encyclopedia here calls her a Vulpix? Specifically the Alolan morph.
no subject
Yeah, that's a Vulpix. And hey, she matches you. You two would be a hit when the contests come around again.
no subject
[NEVER! .... Okay, maybe in a couple of weeks.]
Contests?
[Ohhhh Allura you're in for a treat~]
no subject
[And then he puffs his not so little anymore chicken chest out:]
I won one once. That's why you'll figurines of my Wailord, Bruce Whalis around here.
[No one cares, Lance.]
no subject
[You know it REALLY is a shame that Allura has no notion of possibly-centuries-old action movie stars, because she doesn't react at all to the pun.]
Really? That does sound interesting.
[And the-fox-that-will-be-Coressa's eyes begin to shine with determination. Motivation GET.]
