Summary: Fluttershy tries to process and not freak out about suddenly being in a new world. At least the Pokémon are nice

A. Route 29 (Action)

[ It had taken quite a while for Fluttershy to really understand what was happening, and even longer for her to calm down once she realized she was in a strange new place by herself. Well, not quite by herself exactly. She had...what had her mother - not her mother - called it? Her partner Pokémon?

It had taken a few more minutes, once letting her partner out of the Pokéball, for her to understand that the creature didn't want to hurt her. The opposite, in fact, this...Audino, was it? Was here to help. Which did make her feel a little better, though she couldn't help wondering what sort of creature it was. It certainly was unlike any kind of animal she'd ever seen.

But apparently that was normal here, she discovered as Audino encouraged her to explore the surrounding area. She could see some bird-like creatures, some rodent-like creatures, some bugs and various others...but there were also some that looked like plants? And even some egg-like creatures.

Well, if she had any more doubts about being in another world, she didn't anymore.

But eventually the edge of panic slowly faded, as she encountered more of these Pokémon along the route. Her curiosity and excitement over getting to meet and learn about new animals was taking over, and eventually she found a spot on the side of the route to settle down and sit a while, surrounded by a large group of Pokémon that were all buzzing and chattering around her while her Audino stands nearby. ]

Oh, thank you all so much for staying with me a while. I was feeling so anxious before, but getting to talk with all of you really has helped me feel better, and I really appreciate it.


B. Network (Video)

[ There is a very nervous-looking girl onscreen, who seems to be hiding behind her hair as she avoids looking at the camera. After a moment of the girl simply fidgeting, an Audino appears beside her, patting shoulder her and making encouraging sounds. Another moment and the girl finally sighs, pushing back her hair a bit as she swallows nervously. ]

H- [ It comes out in a bit of a squeak, so she clears her throat and tries again. ] H-Hello...I-I've, um...just arrived here, and I'm...looking for my friends. I-I'm not...sure if they're here too, but...i-if anyone has heard of...Twilight Sparkle, or Sunset Shimmer, or Rainbow Dash, or Applejack, or Rarity, or Pinkie Pie...I-I'd really appreciate it if you'd let me know.

[ The Audino then speaks up again, a bit more urgently, and she glances back at it before nodding. ]

O-Oh, you're right, I'm sorry. [ She turns back to the camera and clears her throat again. ] S-Sorry. My name is...F-Fluttershy. If you know any of my friends, p-please...let them know that I'm looking for them.

C. Cherrygrove City (Action)

[ Fluttershy feels both relieved and more nervous when she arrives in the city. Relieved because she had been traveling for a few days, and she hadn't been quite prepared other than the bag her not!mother had given her with some supplies. Being in a town was at least a bit more familiar, so she might have an easier time to figure out what to do and where to go from here.

But she's also nervous because a city meant people. She could already feel herself starting to close up just thinking about talking to more people, with everything so unfamiliar and intimidating. But she had to do something. Her friends wouldn't just sit back and panic, so she at least had to try and see what she could do.

It didn't help that she had to send the wild Pokémon away, though. As much as she enjoyed their company, she didn't think having such a large group of them walking around town would be such a good idea. She'd also debating on catching one or two, but she thought it might be easier to get her bearings a bit first before having others to take care of.

She had least had Allegra, and the Audino's presence beside her was such a comfort as the two of them walk around Cherrygrove. But Fluttershy still feels a bit lost, and ends up mostly wandering around a bit aimlessly. ]

Let's see...where should we go first?

Oh yeah, that sounds like a really good idea. I was exploring the town a bit just out of curiosity, but I should probably get my own adventure started, huh? My Pokemon partner seems like it's itching to get out there too.

It does sound like there's a lot to see. And there didn't seem to be much in the town we left, so finding out what else is out there is probably a good idea.

[ The Audino gives a cheerful sound. ]

Oh thank you! [ She gestures to her partner. ] This is Allegra. She's already been really helpful so far.

I would imagine she has. Is Allegra the species name, or your name for her?

[This world seemed to have proper rules of how Pokemon battle and the creatures seemed to be already well adapted to the system. It was rather curious, but Loki was able to guess that this must have gone on for a long time that it was integrated into this society standard. For outsiders like them it does seem unusual, but still, he supposed he should try to comfort her.]

I wouldn't worry no, this place seems to know how to keep things in order and the creatures are quite smart enough themselves to know what to do.

[Tilts his head toward the pokemon around her.]

They'll be quite happy to please you in whatever you wish to do with their company I'm sure.

[ She glances at her Audino, who only nods in agreement. ] R-Right. It's...kind of like a sport, I suppose. Opposing teams trying to beat the other, but with rules and regulations to make sure everyone is safe.

[ Sports can also get pretty violent sometimes in her opinion, but people still seemed to have fun with them too, so. ]

I hope so. I'd like to make sure they're happy too though, so I guess it would depend on whether they'd enjoy battling or not.

Very much like a sport game, yes. I'd like to think of it as a playful sparing match, much like the kinds I had back home in my old world.

[Ofcourse Loki was known to be more of a trickster in those sort of matches, but one had to be more clever than muscle compared to his brother. Gives a small smile toward Fluttershy. She seemed very caring to those around her, a rare trait but sentiment. It's a shame he had to hide his true identity with another name like Luka for her but... He supposed it's for the best.]

Aye, as spread around as we all are, it's certainly the easier way. Though I've come to prefer over text meself. Suppose there's always going to be that part of me that likes things in writing, even communication.

[He chuckles, and though Audino gets no verbal recognition of the introduction, he does tip his hat in response to the wave.]

[ She nods a little. ] Text would probably be easier. B-But I figured...I'll have to get used to meeting new people anyway. S-So I thought that...if I could get used to making an announcement like this where everyone can see it, then it'll help get me ready to talking with people face-to-face.

[ She glances away, and there's still a slightly nervous pitch to her voice as she laughs. ] I...suppose it is a bit silly, needing to prepare for something like this...

You'd be surprised what "silly" things I've had to prepare for in the past. And I could certainly imagine my niece working up the nerve to something like this.

[He paused, then laughed.]

Or my nephews! If what they were preparing for, of course, was trying to sell me on why they hadn't done their homework again.

[Still with a bit of a chuckle in his throat, he continued.]

But it's not everyone who can face something they fear and do it anyway.

O-Oh...really? [ That's a bit upsetting. So they had been here before but weren't now? Had each of them been by themselves, alone and looking for someone they knew as well? She hated to think about it. ]

It's...nice to meet you, Armin. It does feel like a lot to deal with all at once. Do you, um...think you could maybe tell me a bit more about this place?

Of course. Where would you like me to start? I can tell you something about where you'll be travelling or would you rather hear about the pokemon and being a trainer or a breeder?

[Sadly, the young man on the other side of the screen is not a familiar face... but maybe his pink hair will still bring comfort! Who knows?]

I don't think I know any of your friends, [funny names, by the way, but it's probably indelicate to say that??] but it's nice to meet you! I'm Doppio.

[ Honestly, seeing someone else with pink hair feels pretty normal, so it does help put her a bit more at ease. Though she can't entirely hide her disappointment once he confirms that her friends are most likely not around. ]

O-Oh...well, thank you for letting me know anyway. [ She tries to smile and hopes that it seems convincing, because she did appreciate it. ] It's nice to meet you too, Doppio.

They might still be out there, you know! I just don't know a lot of people.

[Sure, maybe the extra reassurance isn't necessary, but... she kind of looks like she might appreciate it. Actually, come to think of it...]

I don't think I've seen them...but they might show up soon! My--my dad's friends all showed up really quick!

[Chip's expression goes from encouraging to a nervous grimace.]

They didn't all...stay...but yours might! There's lots of people that're here for ages!

[ Fluttershy can't help making a face. So not only were her friends not here, but even if they showed up they might not stay?

Still, realizing that the other is trying to be reassuring, she smiles. ] O-Oh. Okay...thank you.

[ There's a friendly blonde woman in a red and electric blue wheelchair offering Fluttershy a welcoming smile. ]

Hi Fluttershy! I'm probably the eight millionth person to tell you I've never heard of your friends, right?

[ She laughs, even though from Fluttershy's perspective, it's probably not all that funny. ]

But don't let yourself get disheartened! People you know from your plane might show up here, like I did after my friend Fitzroy had already been here for a while. And in the meantime, you can make new friends! Everyone here is really nice and friendly.

[ She can't help a slight frown, because it really isn't funny at all. But she has to think that the woman wasn't trying to be mean about it. ]

R-Right...I suppose if I can arrive here suddenly, then any of them can too.

[ It's a bit of a comforting thought, although she does hope that none of them will feel as lonely as she does. Then again, they would probably be more excited about having an adventure anyway. ]

I-I did get to meet some of the Pokémon here. O-Or at least the ones that were on the route heading to the next town over. They were pretty nice.

[ Rainer tends to be an optimist in most situations, especially when it comes to friendship. ]

Most of the Pokemon here are great. Even the ones who are a little scarier, do the things they do because they have good intentions.

[ She should know, she specializes in ghost types. ]

[Hermione wracks her brain trying to remember if she'd heard any of those names before but she didn't think so. The poor girl was so painfully shy, she reminded her of Neville.]

Hi Fluttershy, my name is Hermione Granger. I'm so sorry, but I haven't heard of any of your friends being here but I'll keep an eye on the pokegear network in case they show up.

It often happens - one, some or all of you could arrive here, but just bear in mind that if they do show up, they may come from a different point in time than you did.
