[The video starts with a disgruntled looking young man looking angrily off in the distance. His hair is dishevelled, brows furrowed in an unhappy frown as he yells at something (or someone) just off screen.]

Stay away from that thing! Don't go picking fights with weird things!

[Now he looks at the screen. He's pretty sure he's worked this out. Weird Zoom call, right? Hopefully he can get answers this way or at least talk to someone who isn't a weird NPC like the crazy woman who called herself his mom. He knew who his mom was and it wasn't her.

Is it aliens? Has he been abducted and taken to an alien world? It feels like this could be aliens...

Iwaizumi has a million questions he wants to ask but now that he's just staring at the camera the first thing that pops out of his mouth is one of the last things he was really bothered about.]

How do I get the music to shut up? I can... Hey!

[He's interrupted by a Larvesta crawling up his arm. The large bug Pokemon managing to balance on his shoulder. For a second he looks irritated, but it's brief and a little half smile appears soon after. A smile that's gone by the time his attention returns to the screen, though he looks a somewhat calmer now.]

Fine. Right. I'm Iwaizumi Hajime. I woke up in a weird house with this... [Vague gesture to the Larvesta.] ... with me. This isn't Japan, is it? So were am I and how do I get outta here?

[Tooru almost choked on the sweet treat he was snacking on when an extremely familiar voice, and face, came across the 'gear. He didn't give a single care in the world about what was being bitched about because frankly, he wasn't listening, he was dumbstruck by hearing and seeing his best friend Right There on the video feed.

Finishing the snack quickly, he just takes to responding. Loudly and excitedly.]

IWA-CHAN IS THAT REALLY YOU?!

[someone pinch him, he's gotta be dreaming.]

[It was his fault for getting distracted by the strange sounds the Larvesta on his shoulder kept making, that when his name was yelled at him, Iwaizumi dropped his PokéGear and swore soundly before bending to pick it up. The Pokemon on his shoulder dropped to the ground and Iwaizumi took his time dusting off the divice, deliberately not looking at the excited face staring at him from the screen until he was done.

Only then did he sigh and look.]

Is this all your doing, Bakakawa?

[Tooru does the only thing he deems appropriate in the situation, something Hanamaki and Matsukawa would do too:

Laughs like a complete and utter asshole at Iwaizumi's swearing after dropping the 'gear for being startled like that.

But then he pouts with mock offence at the nickname.]

WOW. Excuse me, I haven't seen you in two weeks and you start with the insults. And for your information, it's not my doing.

[Now he was really confused. If Oikawa hadn't seen him for two weeks... Things made even less sense! So little sense that he forgot to be irritated by Oikawa for a minute.]

[ _{Corrin was brushing his Galarian Ponyta while half paying attention to the newcomer on screen - he had been tuning into the occasional video feed, half-hoping that he would eventually see a familiar face or someone he recognises from home. While his luck had been running dry so far - suddenly he hears something that makes him immediately stop what he is doing, much to his Ponyta's annoyance. He rushes over to the video, where Iwaizumi will see a cream haired young man with a very angry looking Ponyta in the background.} ]

Oh! Iwaizumi, was it? I've heard that name before!

[ _{Corrin thinks long for a moment while trying to remember the boy's name who wanted to find him... but it just doesn't come to him at this time.} ]

Your best friend is here -- he's been looking for you! You'll have to forgive me as his name escapes me... but he has brown hair and brown eyes. I don't have any answers on how long you'll be situated here for, I'm afraid, as it is just as big a mystery to me. But I hope you'll find some comfort in knowing that you aren't alone.

[ _{His Ponyta is pestering him for his attention, while he laughs and tries to continue speaking.} ] My name is Corrin, by the way!

[He does. Of course he does. But the words are automatic because he knows there is only one person who would call himself that, even if the description given to him is a little vague. Brown her and brown eyes? Narrows it down to a billion or so people.

Iwaizumi doesn't look too happy with the rest of the answer though.]

So no way out? Damn. Guess I just have to work out the end game for this Ghibli Movie. Maybe then...

[Remembering his manners, Iwaizumi gives a respectful nod.]

[He sounds disappointed and angry. The fact that he isn't in Japan annoys him. The fact that there's no way out scares him, which makes him all the more angry.

But he takes a deep breath to try and calm down, he'd not angry at this woman at least, she hasn't done anything wrong but answer his questions.]

The reality is that we're on a different world, with animals here called pokemon. [Hermione gestures to the larvesta.].

Unfortunately we're all kind of stuck here. There's no way to get back home. Sometimes people just disappear suddenly and wake up back home, but the good news is that you'll arrive home at the exact same moment you left, regardless of how long you've been here. The downside is that you won't remember being here.

[She gives him a look of sympathy. She remembers arriving the first time and how much of a shock it was.].

I'm Hermione Granger, pleasure to meet you. You might find there are some people you know from your world here, but that doesn't always happen. If you do, I'm happy to give you a lift to them? Otherwise it can be a bit of a trek from town to town.

[Iwaizumi listens with a growing sense of unease. So people appear and disappear. There is an unknown way to return home but when you go back it's like nothing ever happened. It was feeling more and more like this was all just a bad dream. Like maybe he'd eaten some funny cheese before bed or something. Though he didn't remember eating cheese before bed...]

If you're in New Bark, I assume you're headed to Cherrygrove? I've got the warp for there, so I can be in New Bark in about 7 hours. Or, if you start on the main road to Cherrygrove, I can meet you along the way and take you the rest of the way. So, at most, a day?

Anyway, this isn't Japan, but from what I've been told, there are some similarities. I think it's mostly buildings; the architecture? But if you're still where you woke up, you're definitely in Johto... But it seems like people are already covering that.
