[In an only slightly uncharacteristic move of him, Ardyn appears to be sitting outside at a cafe--tilting his chair back on two legs, arms folded behind his head, the absolute picture of 'attention-seeking, but trying to look cool about it'.]

[Weird, right? Weirder still is the just off-camera scuffling followed by a very angry Zorua scrambling up on the table, bristling in a voice that comically did not suit its tiny fluffy frame whatsoever.]

I'm thrilled you're having fun with this, but you can't very well go gallivanting off with my body! I've been chasing you all morning, and I do not intend to make a day of it!

['Ardyn' simply shrugged, flashing a devilishly troublesome grin and poking his 'Zorua' on the nose. Which, understandably, only served to aggravate the little fluffball's anger issues further.]

[If, perhaps, all of Goldenrod and indeed the world believed they saw Ardyn waving his hand trying to shake off a Zorua that was proceeding to bite his finger, then maybe it was smarter not to question which was which.]

"Are you playing a game? That looks like fun!"

That tone of voice does... not suit the rugged, eye-patched man at all. Nor does the excited grin on his face.

The Helioptile on his shoulder just sighs in exasperation, meanwhile.

"Yes, it's called 'fair retribution'!"

This statement was, of course, muffled by the fact that Ardyn-as-Zorua had his teeth in Zorua-as-Ardyn's hand. The latter of which was quite a bit panicked and trying to pry him off, because Bite is a hell of a thing.

"Oh, I never heard of that--"

'Geddoe' gets cut off by some chattering from the Helioptile, which he pauses to listen to.

"Boss said that you'll be feeling that when you're back to normal." To judge by his expression, he has no idea what exactly the message he just repeated means.

"I've felt worse!"

True as that was, it did get Ardyn to disengage, the little Pokemon landing back on the table with an irritated growl. Shaking out his hand, Ardyn's actual body frowned and crossed his arms in an expression better suited to a particularly prissy cat.

"Don't look at me like that, Rakshasa, you started it."

The Helioptile has a look that could almost seem vaguely amused, if you squint, and makes his way down 'Geddoe's' arm so that the 'gear can actually pick up his speech without him shouting.

"So've I, but doesn't mean I'd like to."

There's a pointed glance back at, well, himself, or at least his body that his starter is currently occupying, though Zipper-as-Geddoe just tilts his head in mild confusion.

Ardyn, visibly seething adorably, scowled while the troublemaker in his body sat back down to give the little Pokemon some possibly apologetic headpats.

Which only made him look more annoyed, ears pinned back like he was contemplating biting his own hand off.

"When, exactly, might one expect this to wear off?"

"No idea."

Geddoe settles down on, well, his arm, Zipper apparently being perfectly willing to oblige his trainer at least as long as his attention doesn't wander.

"But strange things have happened around here before, right? And they never last, from the sound of it."

And it's better to think of it in those terms than assume that he'd be stuck like this. For a whole lot of reasons.

"I utterly detest it here." Tail flicking from side to side, Ardyn clearly had no issue sulking in his small and fluffy form while 'Ardyn' lightly scratched him behind the ears with a smile unmistakable as anything but patronizing. "How does anyone tolerate this nightmare?"

"Hmmm...."

Geddoe would shrug, but it's a little hard to get the right effect as a lizard.

"I can think of worse places to be."

Well, assuming that this current weirdness is indeed only temporary. And not counting the fact that none of the people he actually cares about are here.
