Anyways, they suggested that as apparently my eyesight is actually, as they put it "astonishingly bad", that I try the glasses they prescribed for me outside for the first time and document my experience. So here I am. But they did allow me to choose my favorite color.

[ He presents the glasses to the screen, they're rectangular blue frame is very simple, and very boring. Just like him. He gently puts them on and looks around. It takes him a couple moments before he actually startles, a hand going to the frames as he takes them off, and puts them back on again a few times. ]

WHAT THE-

[ Anyone watching will get to see him go and touch some grass, and then run over to look at a few trees, and then his own pokemon before he returns to look at his Espurr. ]

Oh Breakfast. We're really in it now.

Sylvain doesn't really understand what the big deal is. Isn't grass just, y'know always a vaguely indistinguishable mass of green? Why is Byleth being weirder than usual? Also, what the hell, there's a doctor for eyes? This world has everything it seems.

"Don't get me wrong, you look great," and he does. Glasses really bring out a very cute, academia vibe to, well, a professor. "But what's different?"

Thank you. I can see everything so perfectly now without having to get close. I can see things clearly from all the way across the yard.

"Oh, that's pretty cool." Huh, not getting close sounds kind of nice actually.

And then Byleth is staring. Far more intensely than even Sylvain finds comfortable. He rubs at the back of his neck, and is about to ask if there's something on his face when Byleth says that.

"You can't tell me you're just now noticing that, right? There's no way you were going solely on personality."

Well I mean, I could tell when you were close by, but this is on a whole other level.

Oh I know. But there could have been a lot more. And yes, it really is. Now I can really see how defined your features are. And the warm flecks in your eyes.
