[ The video that starts rolling is a little shaky and very green. ]

Kami, okay- [ comes a tired sigh. ] Bergamot, you good? [ There's an audible Meowth! and the feed steadies a bit.

The video pans around to land on Rose with an oddly colored Nincada resting on her lap. One of its wings is dented and frayed, it's covered in scratches, and appears to be in pretty rough shape. Her hand rests on its back, petting it in a soothing motion. ]

Hey, uh. So, I found this little dude and, like, he's hurt? Which wouldn't normally be a problem since I could just use a potion or whatever, but... [ But.

The blond hesitates, the next part seemingly difficult to get out. ]

I ran out. Also, I'm in Viridian Forest and, like, super lost? Place is a friggin' maze. If anyone's close by and could help, I. I'd appreciate it. [ A pause. ]

[ She reaches out to grab her Pokegear and switch the video feed off. ]

While I'm unfortunately in Johto, myself, are you familiar with the various berries that the Pokémon can eat? Some of them provide healing properties similar to potions and the like.

I am, [ she answers, running a hand through her (admittedly unkempt) hair. ] He doesn't seem to have much of an appetite though. I can probably try again in a while, but- I think whatever happened just kind of freaked him out, y'know?

Unless someone does happen to be nearby, it may be your best bet. Alternatively, if you've caught it, you may be able to keep it in a pokéball until you're able to get more supplies. It won't necessarily improve matters, but at least it won't make things any worse.

I did. [ Catch him, she means. It'd seemed like the only thing to do in order to try and figure things out. ]

But, well- I try not to keep them in their Pokeballs? Personal preference, I guess, but I'd feel better with the little guy out with me for now.

Some have a clear preference one way or another, but the balls most certainly aren't bad for them. You may not need to, but keep it in mind as an option, since it will certainly help keep a Pokemon out of further danger.

[ Even if they're not, Rose still has her hang-ups about... a lot of how things work here, honestly, but she's not going to get into all of it right now. ]

Yeah, I will- So far, I think we're alright but if anything else ends up comin' for Apollo then I'll be able to put him somewhere safe at least.

Oh man, that's awful! I wish I could help, but I'm nowhere nearby. I guess there's no way to send Potions through PokeGears? Seems like there should be, considering the other tech here.

[Radley would be concerned in any case, but he is especially concerned since he recently rescued an injured Pokemon himself.]

Yeah, right? You think they'd have figured that out by now. [ A frustrated huff. The woman knows that isn't that easy, but still... ]

I appreciate the concern though. Just hoping someone can assist soon.

I'm at a Pokemon Center. Maybe I can get the word out and the nearest Nurse Joy can be contacted?

Maybe. Or one of their little round pink friends? [ Blissey? Chansey?
One of those. Or maybe both? It's hard to keep them all straight. ]

Okay, I let them know! The Chanceys are calling your nearest Pokemon Center now. Somebody should get sent to help. Maybe they can track your location through your PokeGear.

[Varian covers his frown with his hand, rubbing his face as he tries to think of any information he might have that's helpful.]

You know, Pokemon are essentially animals. Maybe one of yours would be able to make it out to get some kind of help...?

I might try that, if no one else can help? [ She sighs. ] Bergamot's pretty good at getting himself out of sticky situations and I hope this isn't any exception. I just- I don't wanna' leave this guy here alone, y'know?

[ While she hadn't planned on catching anymore Pokemon in the forest, she couldn't let this one just try to fend for himself when he was injured. ]

[Ash takes one look at those injuries and promptly starts looking for his bag. Still, as much as he'd like to help, he needs some extra info first.]

I'm just a bit north of the forest, in Pewter. If you can find a way to send a signal that's visible from the skies, my birds should be able to bring you supplies within a few hours. Other than potions, what else do you need?

Food, probably? Not berries. Gods, I'm so sick of berries. [ So many berries. ] But yeah, I'll see who on my team can try and get a signal out. [ Her roster isn't actually conducive to that but, y'know, she'll figure it out. She always does. ]

[As he speaks, Ash finally finds his bag and starts digging through it. A forest means Grass- and Bug-types, which means- Ah, there they are. He grabs a few Full Heals and starts a small pile of supplies to deliver.]

Even just a brightly colored Pokémon willing to wait in a clearing should do the trick. Watcher and Princess have excellent eyesight.

Bergamot would probably be best then. He's an Alolan? I think is the term, don't quote me, Meowth. So he stands out here in Kanto at least.

[He still makes a mental note not to be too creative with the food, just to be safe, even as he takes out a dozen potions.]

Perfect. With that metallic head coin of his, there's no way they can miss him. Watcher is a Noctowl and Princess is a Staraptor, but the whole 'bearing a bag' bit will be their most distinctive trait.

[ It used to be caffeine would make her sick, but now it doesn't and she's still getting used to that. Coffee is kind of good, honestly? All these years, she'd never known. ]

Okay, well, I think he's getting all this- Pretty sharp little guy. [ There comes a confident Meowth! from off screen and she smiles. ]

Meowth are generally clever little critters, yes. Their minds are just as sharp as their claws.

[Off screen on his side, there's a chorus of groans. He ignores them.]

Do you also need- Wait, no, I think Escape Ropes don't even work in the middle of a forest. Might be caves only.
