I have a question for people who've been here long enough to travel around or have been traveling, maybe something to think about after all the Braviary craziness we just had a week or so ago:
Is there anything here that reminds you of home? Forests, cities, beaches, anything. Even the food.
Ilex Forest reminds me a little of Miyagi, and the trees around Sendai. So do the buildings, they're a lot like the ones you'd see around Japan. A lot of the food too, now that I think about it.
[In not so many words, Tooru's homesick, but he refuses to admit to that. It's also why he's typing it out instead of enthusiastically choosing video or voice. Besides, he is just a bit curious about the other worlds after Corrin told him about Hoshido.]

But then he lets out a sniffly chuckle after he's let himself cry it out, and focuses on the hand in his hair.]
If auntie showed up she'd hug me first and ask how her favourite son was doing in dealing with her mean son! But you're right, she'd love this place and love the Pokémon. I miss her too.

And if maybe he was actually enjoying letting his fingers brush through silky soft hair, so what? He wasn't hurting anyone but himself.]
Hah, she probably would... [He didn't sound bitter. His mom adored Oikawa. Some days Iwaizumi was sure if she could swap them both she would. Only she'd feel bad after and swap them back. Or just steal Oikawa and adopt him or something crazy.] We'll get to see them again. Once we're done with our adventure here.

[Talking about their moms was oddly calming, because Tooru knew his mom adored Iwaizumi as much as Iwaizumi's mom adored Tooru.
Without realising it, Tooru also adjusted his head for Iwaizumi to get the best spot to scratch and run his fingers through his hair. It's fine he reminds himself, just platonic, and no one else's heart feels like it's about to burst but his. He'll let himself enjoy it for now until he can't anymore.]
I don't wanna forget this place if we ever go home, it's fun here. Even if it's a bit dangerous too.

[And if they were lucky they'd grow old together. Iwaizumi felt that Oikawa would be a part of his life until he was old and grey whether he wanted him to be or not. And he did.
The corner of his lips curved up when he felt Oikawa move his head, it made it easier for him to continue combing his fingers through that soft hair, and that was perfectly find with him. Because it was platonic. He was doing the thing his mom had done for him when he was a kid. It had always helped calm him down so he hoped the same would happen for Oikawa. And it seemed maybe it was?]
Think we can get it tattooed on us or something?
[There was a hint of teasing to his comment. Playful. Trying to lighten the mood just a bit.]
