Hi. So. I'm Hunk. And I need help figuring out how to wake up. [Yup, he's going to be one of those people, utterly convinced that this is some flashback to school days dream except that it's an open woods adventure and he's not yet looked down to discover his pants missing. Which, believe him, he's been checking.]

[He's holding a little Nidoran under around her midsection and she's just kind of ragdolling in his arms rather than causing any sort of disruption, content to be carried.]

I left this one lady's house. And I mean, she seemed really nice. I think she's my new dream mom or something? And I traveled a while and just tried to enjoy it. Anyway, I need to wake up because this dream is a little too real and I really don't want it turning into a nightmare on me. It's fine so far, but, you know. Never know what that curry I had yesterday ['real world' yesterday] will do to me.

[He's obviously already made it to Cherrygrove, there is ocean backdrop happening, so he's been walking for a few days. He just wrote it all off as dream time. It's now starting to be a concern.]

[Okay, Alteans turning to Galra? A thing he'd seen. A Galra looking like a human? Not something he's used to. Outside of Kieth, but Kieth doesn't count.]

Uhhhhh.... You... look really human.

I mean- I guess it's not out of the realm of possibility. But it's still weird. This is all really weird, right?

Yes, it is very weird. All non-humans are changed to at least closely resemble humans. Even my proportions were changed to be a closer match; it took some time to get used to. I very much miss my sense of smell.

[Thace is focusing on the little things for the moment in hopes that it might not seem quite so overwhelming. It might help. Or it might not. He's not sure yet.]

Really? That's kind of messed up. I always liked meeting other species and learning about their cultures! That was the best part of being out in space. I learned so many recipes.

You're dealing... pretty well with it for a Galra. Like... is there less to brush now or-

[Hunk, Hunk is this an important question?]

That is a great outlook. I very much enjoy learning about other species and cultures. Being here has been wonderful in that respect. I've finally gotten a chance to learn to cook. Human dishes so far; I don't think I have the experience and knowledge quite yet to try to replicate Galran dishes I've learned of.

[Thace starts chuckling but he seems happy to explain, at least?]

Human body hair is much less dense than Galra fur, yes. But on the head and face it does require regular cutting to maintain length, rather than just brushing and combing to remove shedding undercoat and loose guard hairs. So different grooming, rather than less.

Well, I picked up a few while we were traveling. Not that we had a lot of chances to go to the table with the Galra, but when we did I made point to learn some. So when I get used to the ingredients here- [even if they're mostly the same as Earth, they're a little different.] -I could give you a few suggestions for replacement ingredients.

[But he has a whole list of things that he still has to worry about.]

I remember when I first started needing to shave? Terrible to get used to. I'd much rather just brush it out.

[This is why he's going to get scruffy one day.]
