Who: Harry and whoever comes across him

Summary: Observing the Bronzor in its natural habitat

Harry has been in Hisui for a week so far and it has been mostly uneventful besides getting chased by angry wild Pokémon while doing mushroom, leek, and firewood gathering. Nevertheless, he and Lily (his Rowlet) manage to slowly grow together as a team and they are able to make some new friends along: by friends, they mean an Eevee who wasn’t afraid of Harry despite being too close while he was foraging for mushrooms at Obsidian Fieldlands and a ‘too curious for his own good’ Hisuian Growlithe he met while he was observing coastal Pokémon at Cobalt Coastlands and accidentally brought along with him back to base camp.

Then reports of a strange Pokémon called Bronzor begin to pop up that the Gingko Guild decided to assign him a mission to observe them at Coronet Highlands’ Stonetooth Row. Harry does have experience with magical creatures back at home, so he is not afraid to get as close as he could to see them, but he never expects to play Newt Scamander to the Bronzor until now. But hey, he gets to do something really important for base camp. So he, Lily, Violet the Eevee, and Godric the Hisuian Growlithe take the journey to Stonetooth Row and begin their quest of looking into the Bronzor’s behavior. Carefully taking his small team to a nearby bush in order not to scare off the mirror looking Pokémon, Harry settles down and begins to jot down anything he can see and find with them.

For every observation he can find, he carefully writes it down on his notebook with Lily taking to the tree tops and the sky to check on the Bronzor who are out of his sight and relaying what she has seen from her side. Violet is currently napping beside him, and Godric, well, he is too busy chasing his tail to amuse himself. Lily returns from her third flight scan of the Bronzor, hooting in what she is able to see.

“Ah, I see. The Bronzor have a plant on their back, I wonder what they are for in the first place,” he gladly takes note as he writes that down.

(Violet finally wakes up from her nap and finally stretches as she gets up. Harry has put away his stuff into his satchel before he follows after Radley and Lily the Eevee, being careful as not to make any loud footsteps that could disturb the Bronzor.

Lily, Violet, and Godric are not far behind them as they leave the Bronzor and Stonetooth Row, hopefully the information he has gathered in the observation will be enough for the Gingko Guild.)

Guess having befriended some magical creatures from my world does help out in a way. Once I started getting along with Lily, Violet, and Godric, I slowly learn what they’re try to tell me and understand them well.

I can’t even imagine what an Alpha Rowlet or Hisuian Growlithe would be like either. That would be a scary thought for sure.

Yeah, I definitely agree with you, Radley: that would be a very terrifying sight to see one out on the open. Even poor Godric doesn’t like the sound of it either and he is just a small guy compared to any Alpha Pokémon.

I've managed not to see any Alphas here, but we had a nightmarish Alpha Braviary attack back in Johto. They were viciously attacking people, carrying them off.... I still don't know how some of them got out of the messes they were in because of that. I wonder what makes the Alphas so aggressive.

Whoa, was it that terrifying? I’m just shocked about how they could have slipped into Jotho, Radley. I can’t imagine being there when it happened.

(He might be lucky not to be in Jotho when the Alpha Braviary showed up and caused havoc. The thought of being carried off by aggressive birds is already a grim situation to be in.

He does remember Hermione telling him on his first day at base camp that she was in the region twice with her second time being much, much longer than the first, so he must wondered how did she manage to survive the attacks.)

But my guess is just as good as yours, and I am also beginning to wonder what could have led to some Pokémon to be this aggressive.

I'm wondering now if it was Cara Liss's fault. Maybe she was fooling around with her stupid machine and sent them there. Me and Evie hid at the Pokemon Center while it was going on. I knew we wouldn't be able to help much, so it seemed better to stay out of it. I talked to a lot of people on the Network and heard a lot of horror stories. After a while the things mysteriously calmed down.

Oh you mean the scientist trying to fix the time machine so we can go back to the present day? Yeah, it sounds like she seems to be reckless with it to the point of unknowingly causing so much chaos. I didn’t sign up for machine parts search, so I can’t say much. And I thought using a friend’s Time Turner to save my godfather was the most I will get to experience time travel until Hisui came along.

I’m really sorry that you, Evie, and everyone else had to deal with the angry Braviary at the time. At least you two were able to seek shelter from their attacks.

She sure is. I still hate that we have to leave our fate up to her when there's more competent people around.

... That sounds like a really intense experience. Were you able to save him?

Thanks. It was pretty scary, although in hindsight I've been bothered by other things more. I'm not sure anything else upsets me as much as being forcefully separated from my Pokemon here.

I am also thinking the same thing as well. If only there was someone more competent who can lead the project well and not get everyone stranded in a time like this.

(Trust him, Radley: Harry has his fair share of having to deal with incompetent adults back in his world on a regular basis who would make Snape looking like a saint in comparison.)

Yeah, I sure did. He didn’t deserved to be placed in jail for a crime he would never commit, especially to my parents, but at least I and my friend were able to free him from a terrible fate.

I can’t imagine being separated from my team as well if we do return to Johto and the present time. And I have a feeling that Lily, Violet, and Godric would have felt the same time as well.

Yeah. If Kaiba could be in charge, we probably would have been home long ago.

That's awful! Did they find out he was innocent?

[He nods.]

I really hope we can take these Pokemon with us. I've told Lily all about the present day and she wants to come with me even though it'll be different to her.

[Lily warbles in the affirmative.]

Hard to tell, he had to go in hiding for some time before we got to see each other again. I wish I could say that they could prove that he is innocent all this time clear as day, but I guess that even justice can get very murky to navigate at times.

Same here, it would be great to take them with us and resume life as normal once we return to Jotho.

It sure can be, unfortunately.

[He nods.]

Now if it could just be soon....

[The longer they're here, the more he feels like he's going to lose it. But they're collecting parts, and maybe, surely, they have nearly all of them now....]

I also wish the same thing as well. I have no idea of how long we will be here before we can return to the present. Hopefully it won’t take us forever to reach it.

Row-let! Eevui, ee-vui! Growl, Growlithe!

You're lucky in a way that you came directly here instead of being in Johto first. You don't have to worry about Pokemon left behind somewhere else.

[He sighs. He has to believe they're okay or he really can't take it. He wants to see them all again so badly....]

Oh wow, that sounds like a relief already. I guess that the timing of my arrival does give me some peace of mind not to worry of leaving any Pokémon dear to me behind and fret about them being left alone.

Yeah. In one way I envy you for that, but I would never want to not have met all my Pokemon. I just hope they're safe without me....

(As base camp draws nearer as they continue walking towards, he couldn’t blame Radley for feeling understandably worried for the Pokémon he has left behind thanks to Cara’s time machine. The separation from one’s team is enough to make any Trainer or Breeder to feel rightfully scared for them. One can hope for the best while the machine is getting repaired.)

Well, we can hope that they’ll be okay once we return from Hisui. This place did have some angry non-Alpha Pokémon trying to chase me simply for being too close while foraging for wood and ingredients. Does Jotho have plenty of aggressive Pokémon that I might run into as well?

Yeah, I sure do. And I hope they won't be mad and think I left on purpose.... I told them every night about people suddenly getting sent back without getting to say Goodbye, to try to prepare them in case it happened to me.... Maybe they think everybody was suddenly sent back.

Sure, there's ticked-off Pokemon in Johto too. But I rarely saw them get as nasty as the ones here. Beedrils, maybe. And Ursaring and Gyarados. Those can be pretty aggressive.

That is something a friend from my world has told me when I first arrived at Hisui. It must be hard not to worry for someone one becomes close to suddenly vanishing without informing anybody ahead of time. I do hope that it doesn’t happen to me so soon.

Okay, that is good to know. I will remember those Pokémon and be careful in encountering once everyone returns to Jotho.

It sure is hard. I hope it won't happen to you either. You seem like you're enjoying it here. The Pokemon make everything bright for me.

That would be amazing to contact each other whenever we want to in Jotho and share what we have went through and what we could find in the region.

Yeah, back there, our PokeGears should work again and there's a video calling feature. We could also visit in person. I have a restaurant in Goldenrod City.

Brilliant! That is even better, I never had something like the PokéGears before, so this should be a lot of fun with the contacting side of things. It is also great that you also run a business in Goldenrod City: maybe I can visit it someday soon.

It is really cool. I miss it.

I hope I still have a restaurant, anyway. Who knows what's been happening back there.

[He sighs.]

Neat, I am going to be looking forward to using them upon arriving to Jotho. That is true, I would like to know what is happening in the present day while we’re stuck in here.
