Surprise eggs!
[Radley is standing in front of the couch, which is filled with eggs. On the back of the couch, Kiryu and Isla are both proudly sitting up like people, with front paws held up by their chests.]
Do your four-legged Pokemon ever do this?
[He chuckles.]
Isla does it a lot and now she's taught it to Kiryu. I haven't seen any of the others do it much, although Evie does it every now and then. It's pretty cute.
Anyway, so my Pokemon have been feeling really happy ever since I got back. So happy that some of them decided to make eggs. I've got three eggs from Evie and Evan, two from Isla and Kiryu, and ... well, it looks like my Skitty and my Espurr decided to get together too?
[Cuddles the Skitty purrs on the couch arm.]
I've got six eggs from that couple. Most of these are Skitty eggs, but it looks like I also see an Espurr egg?
[He hadn't realized different species couples could ever result in any of the eggs being the father's species unless the mother was a Ditto. He knows now.]
So here's the rundown.
Evie and Evan's kids can have these moves:
Charm, Copycat, Helping Hand, Quick Attack, Sand Attack, Swift, Tackle, Tail Whip, Take Down
Isla and Kiryu's kids can have these moves:
Baby Doll Eyes, Bite, Growl, Helping Hand, Quick Attack, Sand Attack, Swift, Tackle, Take Down
There's a chance of any of them having the Skill Run Away.
Cuddles and Elliott's kids can have these moves:
Assist, Charm, Copycat, Disarming Voice, Fake Out, Foresight, Growl, Heal Bell, Sing, Tackle
Seto Kaiba asked me for an Eevee, so I have one egg reserved for him. All the others are available! If you're getting an Eevee, just tell me which moveset you'd like.
EDIT 9/22: I'm taking these other eggs off the market now. They've been here so long, the parents are hoping to keep them. Maybe it's not good business sense in one way, but in another, keeping the parents happy means more eggs in the future.
(That, plus I'm a big softie with these sweethearts.)

Thanks. I'll have the fee for one by the end of the week, and then it's a few days ride from Violet to pick up the egg.
Mm, I've read that Eevee is one of the most versatile Pokémon there is, and they can evolve into one of eight forms. Have you evolved any yet?
no subject
Yeah, it's pretty amazing! I haven't evolved any, but I will if any of them tell me they're ready.
[He supposes some will want to eventually, at least.]
no subject
In that case I'll bring them to meet the parents when they hatch.
no subject
Hey, that would be really nice. [He smiles wistfully.] They haven't seen any of the kids from the eggs I sold, except the one that came back to me.
no subject
I might have a few questions about raising them once it hatches.
no subject
They're pretty easy to raise, luckily! But I'd be happy to answer any questions.
no subject
Wow! Congratulations on the eggs, Radley. I’m very interested in seeing them eventually growing up to be really amazing Pokémon. And I just so happen to gain money from working at Cherrygrove’s Pokémon Centre and winning a couple of trainer battles ever since arriving at Jotho.
I could spare some money to get an Eevee egg.
no subject
That's great! I could come by with it.

[Radley smiles.]
I could bring it by now if you'd like. Oh, which moveset would you like?
no subject
As for which moveset, I’m gonna go with the one from Evie and Evan’s eggs.
no subject
[Radley soon sets out with some of his Pokemon and the egg. He rests between each warp so he doesn't get dizzy, but still arrives pretty soon and looks around for Harry.]
no subject
Nervousness and excitement run wild as he gets to the lobby to find Radley, his team and the Eevee egg. Violet has her curiosity peaked upon learning that her Trainer is gettin a new member into the team. Could it be another Eevee too?)
no subject
Hi!
[He smiles, holding out the egg.]
Here it is.
[The Eevees with him warble. Evie and Evan are happy for a friend to get one of their eggs.]
no subject
(Violet happily jumps about in happiness as Harry accepts the Eevee egg and everyone else cheers in relief. He then rocks the egg gently in his arms.)
Oh gee, thank you so much, Radley. I will take good care of this Egg well.
no subject
Radley smiles.]
I know you will. Let us know when it hatches.
no subject
Growl-lithe, Growl!
(Godric meanwhile wonders if he could help in providing heat for the egg in case it gets too cold, which leaves Lily quite terrified by that thought alone.)
no subject
[Radley smiles.]
I guess you already know how to look after eggs, from what you said before?
[Evie looks worried too. "Vee?!" She knows Radley is afraid of getting torched by Fire types not knowing their own power.]
no subject
(Hagrid would be disappointed if Harry hasn’t forgotten everything he has taught him during the many times he visited his hut in Hogwarts. Lily tries to tell Godric not to jump first and use his fire moves without knowing how powerful his moves can be. And it didn’t take Harry long to notice the talk happening.)
Oh hey there, what’s with you guys trying to talk about warming up Eggs?
Dartrix, Dar! Dart-trix! Growl…
Huh, I see. Sorry Godric, but Evie and Lily are right: you just can’t use your Fire moves without knowing how strong they can be on an egg.
no subject
[Radley smiles, but then looks worried as he becomes aware of the conversation.
Evie nods. "Eevee!"
Radley hopes Godric will accept that.]
Yeah, we have to be really careful with eggs.
[He says to Godric.]
no subject
(Godric promises Radley with his tail wagging behind. As much as he is sad that he can’t just use Fire moves to help the egg out of good intentions, he acknowledges that it is for the best for everyone and the egg.
In fact, Harry and his team can attest that he can accidentally set thing on fire as some of their Hisuian misadventures has him accidentally setting stuff ablaze.)
It’s okay, Godric. I know that you want to help, but eggs can be very fragile and they do need a lot of gentle care and handling before they hatch.
no subject
[Evie demonstrates by curling up around a lamppole.]
Yeah, like that.
no subject
Do you guys see what Evie is showing us? You can do cuddle it or curl up around it to ensure that it will stay warm.
Eivui! Vui! Dart-Trix! Row-LET!
Great, now we have a way to how to keep the egg without the risk of setting things on fire. Will you guys promise help me in raising the egg before it will hatch and not accidentally putting it in harm’s way?
(Cue a resounding mix of happy hoots, growl, and yips vowing to help him.)
no subject
It looks like everything's going to be okay.
[Evie warbles in triumph and uncurls from the lamppost.]

[Radley smiles and moves to walk back to the Warp Pad.]
video
Can I get an Eevee egg, sir? That'd be . . . From the second couple.
Re: video
Sure! Where are you staying? I can bring it by if you're anywhere on the path I've been on.

[ hold on, he has to spread his map out, and flip through his handbook. the piplup slides off his lap when he moves, and helpfully taps a flipper at his destination. ]
Tomorrow, I think. Would that work?
no subject
Yeah, that's perfect.
[Several Pokemon say Hello in the background.]
no subject
[ that’s the first time he’s done business— he’s definitely proud, but also! he’s surely taking mental notes. this is also the first time he’s seen an egg advertisement. he’s learning from it. ]
Have you been a breeder for long—?
no subject
I've been here since February, but I only started actually deliberately breeding a couple of months ago. I was trying to learn about it soon after I got here, though. I liked that better than making a career out of battling.
no subject
no subject
I was never a Trainer, but it took me a while to figure out enough about breeding to try it. My first Eevees had a surprise egg before I was ready to start the business.
[He chuckles.]
And I've still got a lot to learn. But it's nice. Breeding is also a lot about caring for the Pokemon, making sure they're healthy and happy. A lot of Breeders make special Pokemon food, I've heard. I've been trying that out too.
[Evie warbles happily. She loves it!]
no subject
It all sounds fun. [ he gives his piplup a glance as he begins folding his map away. ] I don’t know when mine are supposed to start breeding. They seem so . . . Young?
[ he knows that is not the case, probably. but, you know! ]
no subject
[He chuckles.]
But she's really protective and she likes cuddling with them when playtime's over.

Okay! I'll bring it by when you're ready.
