The whole wishing thing had been a neat idea, but Shrike hadn't expected anything to come of it, and definitely not what actually did. Still, he's not the type to waste a gift, so after some coordination (probably not without a bit of help) here he is, and here are Sandalphon, Dimitri, and Ryner.

The only person who knows everyone else well is, well, Shrike. Hopefully this won't be too awkward?

[At least with Dimitri, there is some passing familiarity - they did have a conversation on the airships once upon a time some months ago. But Dimitri has to admit that he doesn't know Sandalphon nearly as well as, say, Shrike.]

[But this is a good opportunity to change that, isn't it?]

[The commentary has Dimitri chuckles a bit, and he adjusts the two dogs he has in his arm - one a very tiny little Furfrou, and the other one of the Hisuian Growlithes he brought back with him from the past.]

One could make that statement for any gathering of those of us not native to these lands, couldn't they?

[ sandalphon really couldn't argue that, and it causes the angel to chuckle. ]

I suppose that's a fair assessment. It's not like Shrike talks to many people, as well. [ it was a miracle that he's managed to open him up like this, too. ] When I saw he had won four tickets, I couldn't help but wonder who else could he have invited.

Indeed, I have also noticed he is rather reserved... Some are like that and grow from it, while others stay that way well into the future. I can think of someone who actually had a rather opposite development, actually...

...Well, somewhat. [Felix is still so popular... Dimitri shakes his head to snap out of it before he gets lost in the Felix rabbit hole.]

At any rate, I had heard that you and Shrike were traveling together, so I was not as surprised to see you, but Rhyner wasn't quite as expected! How did you and Shrike take to traveling together, if I may ask? I do not believe I ever had a chance to ask Shrike.

[ he sagely nods. at least dimitri understands shrike. it was a nice feeling, honestly, given that it was often him who was around the teenager most of the time. ]

Yes, he and I travel together. It was… an interesting experience at first, however I grew to appreciate his presence during our travels.

[ he will never admit to his inability to take care of himself. ]

I’ve never met Ryner; however now might be my chance.

He is a clever and nice boy, I agree. I am glad that the two of you have found company together! It takes a weight off of my shoulders, although I know he is perfectly capable on his own.

[But sometimes you need something else that isn't just... capable.]

He and Sion run a gym together, if you were not aware of that already! He is certainly an interesting young man.

[ it comes as a slight surprise to sandalphon, but eventually his rationality came back to help him come to terms with it. pack mentality that came with humanity he figured. it happens to the best of everyone. ]

He is, but only if he doesn't let his social anxiety get in the way of his common sense.

I did not... interesting. I'd might take a chance and stop by whenever possible. [ but the teasing thing makes him smile slightly. ]

How easy are we speaking of here?

Indeed. I hope that, as he comes to know more people, that may lessen a bit... I suppose going on a vacation like this is a good first step.

[Sure, Shrike is dressed head to toe in scuba diving gear, but, hey. It's the beach!]

[At the question, Dimitri's smile becomes just a touch sly. Or maybe that's a trick of the light, who knows!]

I am sure that if you ask Sion, his partner, you will be sure to get all sorts of interesting ideas, should you ever find yourself bored on one day or another. But... Not as hard as one might think.

It’s a relief to know that he speaks to others, actually. He often doesn’t speak about others to me.

I’ll definitely keep that in mind. I don’t think I’ve actually met him, even though that was one of the names Shrike mentioned when telling me about the trip.

I believe that Ryner keeps fairly busy... From what I understand, he and Sion have been here for ages, and may be some of those who've been here the longest. That sort of longevity has had them come into the possession of a gym, and those require constant attention, from what I understand.

[So much attention... It's something Dimitri wants to keep in mind himself, honestly.]

...Has Shrike spoken to you about any of his worries about other people?

[ sandalphon nods. he did see sion as a wise man of this realm– after all, no one stays in a realm without learning new things.

when shrike was mentioned, sandalphon hummed. ] No, not much. He only speaks to me of others when it comes up in conversation. However I have noticed he likes to speak of me a lot.

[ there was a light pink blush on his cheeks. was it welcome or not? the world may never know. ]

Ha... Then it means you are truly a dear and trusted friend, doesn't it? What a pleasure, to have someone who cares for you so dearly.

[ sandalphon’s reaction is a lot more confused than elated. He wonders why shrike would even begin to see him like that– granted the kid doesn’t know everything about sandalphon’s past life, but then again there’s nothing he can really do about that. it’s best if it was under wraps after all. ]

I fail to see why that’s a good thing, however it may simply be because I’m still inexperienced.

Not at all. [ the most honest he's been in centuries. but then again, it's not like dimitri knows why sandy believes that. ]

It's hard to explain, and even the girl in blue--[ he clears his throat. ] rather, my friend struggles with making me accept that fact as well.
