Video
[Radley is sitting and writing at his kitchen table. Behind him, a window is half-open with the curtains blowing in the gentle breeze.]
So I've been wanting to organize a bi-weekly or monthly Duel Monsters get-together. I thought it would be nice for all of us who know about the Duel Monsters card game to get to know each other more, and to share the game with others here who might be interested. I talked it over with Marik months ago and was going to introduce it in July, but ... yeah, that didn't work out. I'm thinking now that with the hype of the upcoming tournament, it would probably be better to wait until that's over to start having the get-togethers, unless anyone would like to have at least one of them this month? I was just planning on casual games and socializing here at my restaurant in Goldenrod, nothing seriously competitive. Of course I'm sure at least some of you will want that at some point. [He smirks.] So if the get-together goes well, maybe sometime in the future I'll consider holding a mini tournament....
[He is suddenly interrupted by a wild Eevee jumping through the window. She lands on his shoulder, rubs against his head, and drops into his lap to keep cuddling. He laughs in bewildered shock.]
What the ... ?! Where did you come from?!
[Some of his Pokemon enter the video, bewildered as well. "Vee?!" Evie exclaims.
The wild Eevee keeps snuggling close, apparently with no intention of moving any time soon. Radley holds her, shaking his head in amusement.]
I don't even know this sweetheart. I have no idea why she randomly jumped through my window instead of someone else's, but I think she's decided she's adopting me?
((I was told this adorable story of a dog who basically did this and another about a kitty and I desperately wanted to incorporate it into Radley's story. I hope that's okay. He's only encountered two other Eevees in the wild, but he breeds them, so he has quite a few from that. I try to give him some variety in what else he has, and I think he's going to end up with six more cats very soon from unclaimed hatching eggs, but I really wanted it to be an Eevee claiming him this way.))

Re: video
Hopefully we can make it to Mt. Mortar by around next month soon.
Vee, vee!
(Violet wants to say hi to the new Eevee. Hello new friend. Hopefully this Eevee won’t feel out of place soon.)
Re: video
[The new Eevee finally talks, warbling at Evie and Violet. "Vee-Eevee!" She had heard of Radley and his kindness to Eevee and other Pokemon and was determined to belong to him. So she came!
Evie wags her tail. "Vee-vee-vee!" She will welcome her.
Radley chuckles.]
Can you make any of that out?
Re: video
(Violet is pretty excited to say hi to the new Eevee too, her tail wagging in pure happy delight.)
Well, it looks like she is very excited to meet other Eevee just as much as Evie and Violet are.
Re: video
[He pets her, thinking.]
I'm going to call her Ruby.
[Ruby warbles, happy.]
Re: video
Ee-vui, ee-vui!
Re: video
[He takes it out and shows it. It looks like a cross between Eevee and Espeon.]
I'm kinda wondering why I didn't think of naming one Ruby before.
Re: video
I thought the same thing as well when I caught my Pikachu during the most recent swarm. Most of the names I gave to my Pokémon are from people I knew back in my world, while Violet and Roger seem to stray away from the naming theme so far.
Re: video
[Evie warbles. She wishes she could meet one when they're special to Radley. They look like fun friends too!]
I've started naming a lot of mine for people back home. My Magikarp are Virgil and Jimmy after two friends of mine. Some of my others, like Billie and Scotch, are named for friends back there too. And since no one seems interested in my Skitties, I'm trying to think of good names for them before they all hatch. I don't know, though; I'd kind of like to see them before I name them. I wanna pick names that really fit.
[He hopes his cats won't decide to make more eggs since it's so hard to sell them!]
Re: video
I do hope that the Skitties will find a good home once they hatch. I do feel sorry for them right now.
Re: video
[Sadness flickers in his eyes, but he pushes it aside.]
Oh, they'll live here. I'm starting construction on the actual house now, so that should give us all more room. Of course, it'll no doubt take months before it's finished, so we'll probably be an itty-bitty bit cramped in the meantime....
[He chuckles.]
I think Cuddles and Elliott are happy the eggs aren't selling, so they can keep their kids.
Re: video
My guess is that the house will be able to fit so many Skitties in the long run so they can have a space to sleep in eventually.
Re: video
I'm designing the house with plenty of spaces for Pokemon throughout.
[He smiles.]
And there'll be high ceilings so Harley can still live inside even in her final form.
Re: video
I don’t think I can get something similar right now since I’m on the road and can’t afford to live in my own house right now. Although there is no rush for me to do it at the moment.
Re: video
Yeah, that makes sense. But hopefully you can settle down eventually if you'd like that.
Re: video
Hopefully someday I can find enough money to afford a place to live in and have a steady base for me to come to if I’m not in the mood of going all over Jotho.
Re: video
I'll keep an eye out around here if this is a place you might like to move to.
... Alternately, I will definitely need help with all these Pokemon, if you'd like to crash here sometimes and work part-time.
