No, she was here to show off her shiny badge and her 'new pokemon', her recently evolved Graveler. Look at him, her boy has gotten so big and he's grown so many arms. He can punch so much now.]

Are all evolutions like this? This guy made the gym a piece of cake.

[She has type advantage, she has STRONK mons, she's ready.

Though she turned to look at her Graveler. Mumbling.]

I wonder why he evolved before my first pokemon...

But he wouldn't be that much taller, he'd just be standing up. [Gabi, that's not how quadrupeds worked. ]

It is a bit more than that. To change from all four to bipedal does require some physical changes. His line of sight would also be much further away from the ground which is what he is used to.

But he's ran off of a cliff before, heights shouldn't bother him.

Hmm... that is interesting. Perhaps that is something different to him. It is hard to say. Something about becoming taller does seem to bother him.

I can understand that. Most people do. I feel the same. I was much taller back home but it was not considered normal here so I was shorter when I arrived.

But new things can be disconcerting. I have been learning new things about the limitations of the human body first hand. It is not something that I would have thought that I would need to do and it was disconcerting. I did not have a choice in the decision, but if he does not understand it, he is making the decision to consider it more. Perhaps if you are able to find someone with his evolution, let the two of them talk. Maybe he can answer his questions first hand.

In my world, I am not human. I am from a race called the Galra. I suppose our appearance is so different, I was changed to be a human. Even the tallest human I knew was decidedly shorter than I was.
