2nd Zapfish [Video/Action, Goldenrod City]
[The video opens with a shot of...light reflecting off of glass. There's a groan, and the 'gear pulls back to show a display of evolutionary items at the Goldenrod Department Store. It seems like they, as most retailers, are getting ready for Christmas early, having put down cotton ball snow with sparkles on the display case floor and festive tinsel tacked around the borders. The advertisement on the case wall reads, ~Give the Gift of Evolution~, and each stone or unusual item has its name and price posted below it.
The Inkay Bottle in particular is of great interest to the filmer, who zooms in on it and the hefty price tag.]
So 'spensive...
[It's said in a whisper, but that is definitely Thida's voice, for those who have heard it. She finally turns the 'gear around to show her face, and surprisingly, she has a uniform on for the department store - given her stature, it's too big for her, but it's also probably their smallest size. Still she beams, a bit tired. While it's relatively late in the morning, it's early for her.]
Gonna buy it f'r Maika! Shh, don't tell, 'kay?
Thida? You've got a delivery, sweetie, come on!
[She perks up at her name, looking beyond the 'gear and nodding, before her gaze shifts back.] Goin' t'work now. Bye.
[If you happen to respond to Thida, or happen to be walking around the streets of Goldenrod, you'll see her out and about in some of the strangest places. Strolling along walls, climbing over fences, perched in a tree to get her directional bearings...chances are you'll see the weird girl running around with deliveries somewhere.]

Mm. Not fresh, but...don't wear, don't get paid.
[To be fair she is far from a fashionista by any society's standards, much less her own, but even Thida knows an outdated uniform when she sees it.]

Bottle for Maika first!

...Who?
SURPRISE ACTION
[Swing and a miss--rather, it's Botan swinging herself out of the way so she doesn't end up running over the kid as she's doing her own deliveries. Arceus bless, Botan manages to pivot in a way that doesn't lead to her falling flat on her butt.]
Sorry, sweetie, I didn't see you there.
AAA BLESS YOU
[WHOA that's a close one. Thida ducks and skids to a stop, just barely keeping her own balance as she stumbles into place. She looks wide-eyed at Botan, clutching this latest delivery to her chest. Thank goodness it's in a bag.]
- Auh! Sorry! Didn't hit you?
no subject
[She shifts, adjusting her load so it's not slipping from her arms, reaches in and takes out a wrapped up cinnamon bun.]
Come now, see? No harm done.
[The buns are intact.]
no subject
...No harm.
[A nod to confirm.]
Takin' sweets t'someone?
no subject
[And she holds out the bun to Thida, almost insistently.]
Here, they just came out of the oven, why don't you take one?
no subject
Y'sure? But...'s for the cafe, you said...
no subject
[And if it's between making a kid happy and fulfilling an order, Botan's always going to pick the former.]
It's all right, really.
no subject
...Promise?
no subject
Promise, absolutely.
no subject
...Okay. Um. Thank you.
[She nods and gently takes the bun, a bit bashful, before something occurs to her.] Uh, 'm Thida. Who're you?
no subject
It's Botan. Nice to meet you, Thida. Are you on your own here?
no subject
Got Pokemon friends.
no subject
[Yes, she's entirely sincere about that statement.]
But it's all right to have human friends as well, what I meant to say was are you living in the city by yourself?
