[This video is posted fairly early in the morning. Everything is still pretty grey from sunrise, actually. Naeva is, in fact, still asleep...at least one assumes that nest of blankets and pillows and hair is probably Naeva.

What's more important is a Lucario stepping into frame with a wheezy little giggle. Someone decided to evolve in the middle of the night to surprise Naeva. Remy has made sure the gear is recording, (maybe getting too close to it to determine this), then steps back to be fully in frame. Yes, look upon him, he is mighty and impressive and...very small for a Lucario, actually, but he doesn't know that.

After he is satisfied the camera has shown off how impressive he is, Remy turns and takes a flying, yippy leap at the bed, startling Naeva awake with a loud yelp.]

Wh--Remy? When did you--

[She doesn't get to finish that sentence. You see, there's another pokemon recently evolved. An Incineroar, who just got excited and dropped a people's elbow onto the bed. The ensuing chaos knocks the gear facedown on the table, so viewers can only hear that the bed is definitely broken.

Press F to pay respects.]

[Radley is just about to congratulate Remy when all chaos breaks loose. He jumps, cringing at the sound of the bed breaking. Whether that belongs to Naeva or to a place she's staying at, that can't be good. Particularly when she was on it.]

... Are you guys okay?

[There is...a considerably long time before she picks up the gear. She's a bit uh. Frazzled!]

Define 'okay'.

[Radley winces.]

That must have been a wild way to wake up.

I could have done without a furniture-smashing level of exuberance on their parts, yes.

[She is having to pick splinters out of this poor Incineroar's paw.]

Hopefully they won't do that again.

[Some of his Pokemon pop up to ask if they're okay.]

Chaton has some splinters, we're bandaging them up now.

[Chaton is making truly pathetic weh noises about the whole thing.]

I may have to find some way to teach him how to better control his strength...I don't want him hurting himself.

Yeah, you'd better.

[Radley feels bad for him, even if he's exaggerating his pain.]

Maybe there's some books on the subject. Others have probably had similar problems.

I'm certain of it, but he might have to spend some time in the PC until I find a solution.

[LOUDER WEHS...]

...Until I get a house for us, Chaton, there's not much else I can do, you know that.

Unless you're very, very careful, that's probably the safest option.

[Radley says to Chaton.]

[THE BIGGEST WEHS.]

...I don't think careful is a skill most of these pokemon excel at.

Yeah, probably not, unfortunately.

How's Remy?

[LOUD, IRATE YIPPING FROM OFF CAMERA.]

...He feels as though the surprise is ruined now so he's sitting on the balcony until he can come inside without being mean.

Oh dear.

[Evie warbles sympathetically.]

It sounds like it's been quite a morning.

I'd have appreciated if they could have waited until breakfast to make their announcements, yes.

[SHE IS HAVING A TIME.]

Having your sleep disturbed is pretty aggravating, yeah.

[Radley's Pokemon know he doesn't like it, although they do occasionally wake him up if they're excited.]

Having to sleep at all is aggravating, and yet the universe conspires to continue making it moreso.

[SHE DOES NOT LIKE IT, NO SIR.]

Oh? You don't like to sleep?

[It does take a lot of time. Radley likes it, though.]

I haven't had to sleep in the last one hundred and twenty years and I can't say I'm a fan of this new aspect of my biology, no.

... Ah. Yeah, that'd be some serious culture shock.

[Forgive her, she is just the grumpiest right now.]

[Radley can be very grouchy too. He's not bothered.]

So ... was that your bed or are you staying somewhere?

Goodness! Are you all right?

[There's a long while before Naeva answers, but she can be heard both shuffling around to get something and a very long lecture to the Incineroar about being gentle with furniture.

She looks distinctly...frazzled, when she picks up the gear.]

...Got a few splinters. We'll live, but I am afraid the bed is no longer with us.

That was an Incineroar, yes? It's quite large. You may have to reinforce your furniture going forward.

Well, I'll certainly recommend it to the hotel when I pay for the damage...

Oh, goodness... I didn't realize you were in a hotel. Will you be alright to cover it?

[Min waits for something to happen. Which is a great instinct when someone may or may not have been injured in the chaos. Good job, Min-Gi.

At least when nothing does seem to happen he eventually speaks up.]

...Do you need medical assistance?

My vertebrae appear to be mostly in the correct place, we're fine.

[We're not fine.]

[It's probably a joke. Hopefully. He knows this, but he still feels the need to be certain.]

Yep, all 30 still there.

[Wait...]

Wait, is that how many we have?

[Is that even the point?]

[ Kirishima was going to turn the feed off until he heard the giggling - it felt way too intrusive seeing this girl sleep. He makes the correct assessment about Remy's height, though listen, that upward angle is doing a lot for him! Okay, buddy, what do you got in mi--

Oh shit!

Once Kirishima has finished laughing his ass off at the antics - because by this time he's seen her responding to others and confirming her living status - he'll turn on the video. He thumbs the evidence of a tear away from one of his eyes, voice still a little breathy with the comedown. ]

Hey.. heh... how'd my Incineroar get over there?

Oh, shall I send you the hotel bill for him, then?

[She won't actually but this is just. So much. Why are Incineroar LIKE THIS.]

[ He had to chuckle at that. ]

I mean I'll chip in if you need help. I've definitely been there before.

[ She's joking but he's serious. ]

That's fighters for you. I mean okay, technically Incineroar ain't Fighting type, but if they gave Pokemon third types...

Oh, I can afford it, but it's rather mortifying, all-told.

[She does sigh a bit.]

I can understand Remy's excitement, he's been debating his evolution for some time now. Chaton, however, might need a bit of a break until we have a better idea how to control his strength...he'll hurt himself too, if he can't.

Yeah, congratulations to you and Remy on his evolution! [ He lowers his voice like an aside to the screen. ] And if he's anything like mine, your Incineroar probably just wanted some attention too...

Oh, he absolutely got excited, he said as much.

[She has turned the gear towards a very embarrassed Incineroar.]

But it's no good to do things that can hurt yourself or others even if you want to play, right?

[The most timid mrowed agreement.]

[ Seeing the camera turn, Kirishima covers his mouth with a fist and attempts to look more grave, because he knows the behavior shouldn't be encouraged. It's not terribly convincing. He thinks this is all kind of adorable. ]

A 'no indoors rough-housing' rule might go a long way.

[ He clears his throat. ]

Did you say he talked to you?

Yes.

[A pause.]

I can understand them all just fine.

Huh! It's been a while since I've met someone with that ability.

Is it like you hear them speak or you just kind of get the jist of what they mean?

A little of both. The way animals communicate isn't really 'speech' the way humans understand it, and the way pokemon communicate isn't exactly the same as most animals...so it can depend on the species. Ones that spend a lot of time with humans tend to "talk" in a more human-like way, because they've learned to understand that way more, but in the wild that's less true.

[She shrugs a bit.] I'd have liked to retain more of my gifts than just this, but I'm certainly not complaining I have it.

That's pretty much what I've heard before. That's awesome! I know it's gotta come in handy.

[ Kirishima likes to think he's got a decent handle on communicating with his own Pokemon, but it'd be even better to know for sure, right? ]

If Arceus wants to bring people and Pokemon closer, it makes sense to leave people with things that help do that. [ His smile becomes more wan. ] But anything besides that seems to go away. I used to think I had it pretty bad until I found out some people aren't even human before they come here and they get turned into one.

[Naeva is quiet as she turns the camera back around.

And then just taps her nose. That'd be her too, buddy.]

[ He immediately flushes, ducking his head slightly. He almost resembles the Incineroar what with the red mane and the hangdog look. ]

Oh. Sorry...

It's fine. It's not as though you could have known by looking at me, right?

That's true... Though where I'm from humans look a whole lot different from one another than they do here. I thought my Machop was just a little kid when I met him! So counting on what I see to know anything is probably a bad idea for me, at least for that.

Anyway, I might have some news that'll help a little?

Oh gosh! [Boober is very happy for Remy, but of course, worry takes priority.] Naeva, what-- Are you okay? Where did that big one even come from?
