I have no inclination to raise human children so yes it is a pokemon

My Chewtle was already enough trouble when he was teething without psychic powers. I don't even want to imagine what you are dealing with right now. If you are really in a bind, shed flakes from any Steel type pokemon you might have can work too in a pinch.

Which pokemon is it that you are raising? I haven't heard of any Psychic types that go through teething phases, but then, I never actually owned one myself.

Most of them are well behaved but this one is too young and enthusiastic to be properly instructed yet

Any type of carrot or a specific one [ It might probably slow it down a bit, but he can't imagine carrots standing up well to sharp teeth like this creature's... But, well, he'll try anything at this point. His experience with teething animals is like zero. ]

Small and fragile
Not much use for teething. For treats maybe

it may not exist in this world but it is a leafy plant with long stalks, similar to catmint. Dried out, it can be wrapped around wood or woven into a rope.

Are we sure it's teething and this isn't a permanent state of being for this pokemon? Many animals need to chew on things their entire lives.

It was born from an egg I was gifted on the last few days of midwinter celebrations

My gear tells me it is a 'Veluza'. My observations of behaviour tell me that it is some sort of shark that can wield rudimentary mind magic

Though for what reason I cannot fathom. More efficient hunting perhaps

There aren't many psychic aquatic pokemon. It could've found its own niche to exploit. Of course, it might also have something to do with what it evolves into. If it evolves, that is.

If I can ask, is it a single typed pokemon or is it a dual type?

It has decided my belongings are more interesting a texture than yours so you have less to complain about

Most of the creatures that possess that capacity do seem to prefer the land. There is the squid of course but that seems an exception

Apart from this. It is hard enough to handle as is. I hope it does not grow up into anything else though I have little choice in the matter

It is a dual type I believe. So the gear tells me

Or at least becomes more controlled about it

I do not mind it chewing on things but it cannot simply shove everything in its mouth unimpeded

That sounds like it needs more stimulating things to do.

Maybe teach it puzzles? I know they make toys you can hide treats in but I'm not sure how strong they'd have to be to withstand your new friend.

You could always give it an Everstone if you really do not want it to evolve.

Though I have to admit that, perhaps selfishly, I hope you won't. I'm really interested in seeing if this pokemon has another evolutionary stage, and if so, what it might be. Aquatic pokemon are a bit of an interest of mine.
