[This video comes on to Romelle with six Pokémon, all recently caught.]

It seems the Snorunt wanted me to catch more interesting Pokémon? [She shrugged a little.] Either way, I was able to go back and catch my original attempts later. But now I have six instead of just three.

[As if to show themselves off, they had paired up as the intended and then actually caught. A Cutiefly with a Fomantis, a Shinx with an Audino, and a Poliwag with a Wishiwashi. Romelle wasn't all that put out, but it had been unexpected.]

I hope everyone else had a better time.

But now, I'm thinking about this upcoming contest and festival. It is spring, but... doesn't the image on the invitation look a bit like a snowman?

[She turned her Gear to show it in case anyone forgot.]



Or maybe a torvax... wait, what do humans call it? Right! A penguin!

Ah, yes! A Piplup! That's what they're called here.

Well, just because the theme is spring. I kinda figured it'd be something to fit the season. I could be wrong, though.

Yes... I suppose so. Though, it could also be something where we need to chase away an ice Pokémon! You know... to bring spring into bloom!

You know what, it does look like a penguin! I mean, yeah, it'd be a penguin in a strange way... But wouldn't a Pokemon that's like a penguin be shaped a little differently? It seems like most of them aren't exactly like the animals they resemble. Maybe it's kind of joke! It's about spring, so the prize is a Pokemon that's not very spring-like.

I've never heard a penguin called a torvax, though.

Oh a torvax is a creature from Altea. It kind of resembles an Earth penguin. I think. At least, it was the closest thing I could think of.

It does look like it could be related to Eiscue, without the ice head. Or the hair. Some sort of stubby-armed regional variant?

There have been some new regional variants that I've seen. You could be right! I'm curious now...

I did! Not one of those new regional variants, but still an interesting species. And as Layle happens to be flower-shaped, I was think the upcoming contest would be the ideal time for his first social outing.

Hmmm I can sort of see it. [Somewhere, Fala the Empoleon is OFFENDED, that body looks NOTHING like a perfectly proportioned Piplup!] Perhaps an Eiscue? I've read they look similar if the block of ice on their head is broken. But it seems odd they would offer an Ice Pokémon for a spring-themed contest.

Hmm... I would say that it is shaped like a Piplup, but the portions are still wrong. That does also seem like an odd choice for a spring festival.

It does... though, if it's a surprise and a potentially new Pokémon altogether, then I'm guessing it wouldn't be a Piplup, right?

If it is a new Pokemon that we have never seen then I would say it is unlikely to be a Piplup. It is spring... perhaps a plant of some sort?
