( she's not really sure why she has the sudden urge to make this new adventure be the one that she decides to create something of a "vlog" for but after meeting up with tristan and narrowly avoiding a pokémon resembling an apple, she feels as though it might be interesting to take some video clips here and there to relive the precious moments with her friends again and again.

as such, serenity turns on the video setting for the pokégear and soon lifts it high to get a somewhat aerial shot of herself. she's in typical attire ( of the pink variety ) and has her eevee trotting along behind her with a large smile on her face! )

Hi out there! ( she waves! ) And, well, hi me! I wanted to record this neat, new adventure so I can look back fondly whenever I want to, so, this is my first "entry" into my adventure log!

I've seen a few new pokémon already and run into some people from home...

( some that shall not be mentioned but one in particular that will— )

Big Brother!! Guess who I just ran into! I bet you'll never guess...

( she pans the camera until tristan is in the shot. )

Surprise!! It's Tristan!

[As they stroll casually along the route, Tristan can't help but smile when Serenity draws out her Pokégear and starts enthusiastically recording. Her positivity is infectious. He remains quiet as she makes her vlog, never imagining that he's about to be drug into it. His Chimchar is hitching a ride on his shoulder, and shooting occasional glances down at Eevee to see what she's up to.

It's a little muted but as the words "Guess who I ran into" are spoken there's an masculine voice that chimes in with a "Uh oh".

Tristan looks for some quick cover, but it's too late. The camera is pointed at him within a matter of seconds. Somewhat sheepishly, complete with a goofy expression on his face, Tristan hunches slightly as he waves dumbly for the feed.]

Uh... Hey everyone watching?

[Though there was only one person he was all that worried about. Trying to recover his composure he straightened up and added a message of his own.]

If you're watching Joey, don't worry! I'll take good care of your sister!

Can't wait to keep the adventure going! See you all!

( she lights up at the familiar face! )

You helped me when I was stuck in that cave... Thank you so much for that! It's so nice to see you again.

( this time she motions between tristan and radley ( on screen ) and chuckles. )

You two know each other too, huh? Small world... That's wonderful!

Yeah, we had a chat too. Hi, Tristan!

[Some of his Pokemon are climbing all over him and the couch, exclaiming in glee.]

Stuck in a cave?! When did this happen?

[His voiced raised a few decibels in alarm. Sure, she wasn't currently in any danger but that didn't make the information any less shocking.

For a moment, he briefly eyed Radley with suspicion but ultimately huffed out a sigh and started to relax.]

Guess I owe you a debt of gratitude too. Thanks, man. [Just look at all the monsters he's got over there..]

Oh, uhh.

( oops! she's completely forgotten to tell him about that. they were too busy getting away from a silly apple monster to think about that dreadful fall anyway. )

Oops! I guess I totally forgot to mention that...

( she chuckles so it's definitely not as though she's in trouble at the moment. it's funny when tristan gets this way so she just watches as he first gets defensive and then reins it back in again. )

Truly the Gods really are trying to torment him by bringing them here! Why oh why did they have to arrive now?! Why couldn't they have delayed for another 2 months or something or not at all? He doesn't need Yugi's cheerleader squad ruining his reputation despite him working so hard to show he's good! He's about to open a business! They could foil everything...!

He'll need to message Kaiba about this right away. And lay low for a while.

The view's been pretty great too.

[Does he mean the flowering trees or his companion. We all probably know the answer to that. The Chimchar perched on his shoulder gives an eyeroll.]

I'm just gonna put this out there. Are you aware that there's a creepy bug-eyed insect thing carrying a noh mask behind you.. or what?

[Someone needs to spend a lot more time studying the whole pokedex]

It is amazing! The view here in Cherrygrove is so pretty.

( both serenity and her eevee are oblivious to what tristan might be hinting but eevee does tilt her head at chimchar's reaction. )

[Ryou is, of course, genuinely talking about the view in Cherrygrove. Even if it had been wet when he arrived here, it had still been a nice view in Cherrygrove.

On being asked what that is behind him, he glances back, sees what Tristan's asking about, and smiles, delighted to talk about his Pokémon.]

Oh, that's my Yamask! She's actually a Ghost type!

[Of course he's managed to get his hands on a Ghost type.]

[It's probably best for Tristan that only his chimchar knew the true meaning behind his words. The monkey pokemon exchanged a confused look with Serenity's Eevee before leaping down to the ground to join it. The monster debated briefly how best to mime the secret for the other pokemon to get it. Lacing his fingers together and then resting his head on his hands, Chimchar blinked his eyes a few times as if he was in pure adoration.]

Sure is- with all the trees.. and stuff.

[Naturally, not being able to own up to his feelings on the real subject, Tristan backpedaled.]

So that's what a Yamask looks like, huh?

[Hopefully it wasn't the easily offended type of ghost. The important thing was that Bakura wasn't in any immediate danger.]

( eevee watches as the friendly chimchar leaps down to help her figure out what's going on. she tilts her head, watching the gestures and suddenly, her tail wags with recognition! so, his trainer has feelings for her trainer. eevee chirps to chimchar to let it know that she's understood but remains seated next to him for the time being. )

We should get a picture by the cherry blossoms, Tristan! What do you say?

That's a very interesting pokémon, Bakura. I didn't realize there were ghost-types... I hope they're not scary...

[Ohhh, the eevees are cute and she can't say she's ever seen a chimchar before, that's absolutely interesting. Though the name Joey causes her pause, she remembers him from... the Christmas thing, right.

She's just going to flick the gear's camera on in what seems to be some sort of room which is, well, the hatchery more or less at this point. Which Kisara's just sitting on her knees next to a little pond that has a horsea splashing about with a rather worn out axew trying to reach into the water after him.]

Welcome~ The beginning seems to be the worst part, but it gets easier after that, I promise! Especially if you already know people here or can make friends which, um, seems to be the case on both counts~

[When his eyes catch the next person to flash across the screen Tristan has two thoughts. One, all welcoming committees should include at least one attractive female like this one does. And Two, have they met before? The eerie sensation of deja vu doesn't last for long however since he's sure that if they had, he wouldn't have to be reminded of it. He decides to keep both thoughts to himself.

There's only room for one girl in his life. Sorry random, stranger that was never interested in the first place]

That's what I've been telling her. [Tristan smiles warmly as he agrees with the lady, talking as if he has wayyyy more experience than he does.] Besides, the journey is all apart of the experience.

I don't think we really introduced ourselves. [Looking to Serenity and back] This is Serenity Wheeler, and I'm Tristan Taylor. What's your name?

[It's fine, it's not as if she would have noticed in the first place. As it is, she's completely oblivious to any and every thought, deciding that it's for the best if she remains as the welcoming committee since she's been left on her own for the time being. Or, well, for a brief time. A mistake.]

I suppose it is... At least you arrived when it wasn't cold and snowing, not that I'm a particular fan of the cold in general when I'm used to much warmer weather for the most part. [It's fine, it's exactly why when it gets remotely cold she's spending time with the dragons in the first place. Where it's warm and she cannot complain about it for a few moments.]

Oh! I'm Kisara and [she's moving the camera to get a look at the horsea that is splashing about] that's Albahr and the axew right outside the water there is Khanajr! There's other Pokemon around here but it's been a little quiet since Seto decided to go on his mountain adventure.

Huh? It was cold? I'm sorry, but, I'm glad that you're warmer now.

( serenity is the sort that prefers to be cold over warm if only because it's so much easier to warm up if cold than cool down if warm. )

Aww, they're so cute! I'm happy to meet you, Kisara! You're pokémon are so cute! ( wait... "seto?" she raises her brows. ) Seto? As in... Seto Kaiba?

Yes? He's been here longer than I have and is... more or less my business partner for breeding Pokemon at this point. I don't think the mountain will let him be able to see any of this, but I'm sure he'll be excited that more people he knows are here! [If... if only she knew. She has absolutely no idea what this man's reputation even is outside of, well, knowing who he technically was before being the Kaiba they know today.]

Kind of an odd way to put it... but yeah. [Tristan had at least been warned earlier by Radley that people could be drawn into this place from different times. Honestly, he wasn't sure how to take that, but someone whose met Alexander the Great and an ancient pharaoh really shouldn't fixate on such conundrums] I'm a bit of a duel monsters expert myself, I'm surprised you didn't recognize me. [SAID PURELY FOR SERENITY'S BENEFIT. He's not surprised at all] Ah well, I like to share my knowledge with others more than hitting the circuit myself... so who are you?

Hmm, everyone keeps talking about Winter being bad. Did something happen?

( she tilts her head in thought. the next things said to her kind of throws her off though. how on earth did this girl work out she's from a world with duel monsters? wait, had she said something about it? serenity raises her brows and tilts her head to the other side this time. )

( serenity isn't a duelist and neither is tristan ( no wait, he's defintely a dueling expert ) so she's a little surprised at how well this girl has nailed her home world! )

Oh- Well...winter isn't that bad honestly. It's not like you're going to...I don't know. Hokkaido, or Canada or something, not unless you're around the Mahogany area. However, most of the towns here are separated by a few days of travelling- and I don't know about you...but last I checked they didn't hand out tents on day 1.

...honestly we really need to find a work around for that. But the point is, you guys would be camping it with just yourselves, the bags, and the snow!

[A pause, as she hums consideringly.] Though I guess for some, that is a perk...
