wheeler vlog • 001 •
( she's not really sure why she has the sudden urge to make this new adventure be the one that she decides to create something of a "vlog" for but after meeting up with tristan and narrowly avoiding a pokémon resembling an apple, she feels as though it might be interesting to take some video clips here and there to relive the precious moments with her friends again and again.
as such, serenity turns on the video setting for the pokégear and soon lifts it high to get a somewhat aerial shot of herself. she's in typical attire ( of the pink variety ) and has her eevee trotting along behind her with a large smile on her face! )
Hi out there! ( she waves! ) And, well, hi me! I wanted to record this neat, new adventure so I can look back fondly whenever I want to, so, this is my first "entry" into my adventure log!
I've seen a few new pokémon already and run into some people from home...
( some that shall not be mentioned but one in particular that will— )
Big Brother!! Guess who I just ran into! I bet you'll never guess...
( she pans the camera until tristan is in the shot. )
Surprise!! It's Tristan!
[As they stroll casually along the route, Tristan can't help but smile when Serenity draws out her Pokégear and starts enthusiastically recording. Her positivity is infectious. He remains quiet as she makes her vlog, never imagining that he's about to be drug into it. His Chimchar is hitching a ride on his shoulder, and shooting occasional glances down at Eevee to see what she's up to.
It's a little muted but as the words "Guess who I ran into" are spoken there's an masculine voice that chimes in with a "Uh oh".
Tristan looks for some quick cover, but it's too late. The camera is pointed at him within a matter of seconds. Somewhat sheepishly, complete with a goofy expression on his face, Tristan hunches slightly as he waves dumbly for the feed.]
Uh... Hey everyone watching?
[Though there was only one person he was all that worried about. Trying to recover his composure he straightened up and added a message of his own.]
If you're watching Joey, don't worry! I'll take good care of your sister!
Can't wait to keep the adventure going! See you all!

I see what you mean. You would think that tents would be part of the standard arrival kit. Even then it might not be a tent that's rated for all types of weather.

You probably heard already, but I'm Tristan. Tristan Taylor, and this here is Serenity Wheeler. [Chimchar squeaks a little to say.. "what about me?"] .. Oh yeah, and this little guy is .. Ape and that's Eevee down there. Good to know you, Carly.

( she's going to do whatever she can to make sure they get their hands on at least one tent. rain and other weather, like snow, isn't something she plans on getting too caught up in again. it's much smarter to travel with a tent or at least an umbrella for rain.
since tristan addresses the whole "joey" thing, serenity doesn't bother to mention anything else on the subject.
tristan isn't surprised but serenity is. thirty whole years into the future?! she wasn't even told about "time travel" in this world so she catches her breath in her throat for a moment, clutching at her pearls, so to speak. she doesn't hear the talk of being married or being a gym leader since she's kind of in her own head, reeling about the talk of being from a whole other aspect of time.
thank goodness tristan takes care of the introductions because serenity remains shocked.. )

...which means normally it's three days before you can get a tent, short of someone mailing one over. [It's. It's not great. IT'S NOT GREAT!
But in better news, introductions, pokemon, people she knows-] Heheheee~! I sure do~! I never met him back home, but we're definitely from around the same year! Different city, but the same country, same major news updates... ...uhh...though I was a bit behind him... But it sure is the reason for guessing. It might seem vague, but as common as that name is for the locals...well. It's like I said, I really haven't met anyone else by that name coming into this world!
Honestly I haven't seen any other 'Tristan's either. Or 'Carly's~! [she adds with a beaming grin.
Ahem.] I honestly have no idea why so many are showing up now... ...back when I got here I was the only one! It was real bizarre when I started hearing about people who played again actually...Oh!!~
Oh they're so cute~ Is 'Eevee' Serenity's then? You'll be in for a real surprise whenever that one evolves then~ They have a lot of options... ...Ohh~! And the gyms shouldn't be too much hassle starting out either with 'Ape' there, lucky you!
