(Harry is trying to hold back tears as he finds himself sending out a post on the network about the most devastating departure of a friend to date. This is coming in after Hermione’s disappearance which has left him with 4 Pokémon of hers to look after and raise now and him feeling rather heartbroken.)

Hermione Granger is now gone from this world. I just went to her room a while ago only to find it mostly empty. She is one of the best people I have ever known in my world and one of my best friends; it is going to be hard not to have her around everyday. Also she has left some Pokémon for some to look after and I happen to have 4 to take care in her absence. I am very sorry if this happened so soon.

If you have met her at some point and/or have been friends with her for a long while, she has also left some Pokémon for you as well. Hopefully she is going to be alright at home.

(OOC: So Hermione has sadly left this world and Harry as her best friend has been totally devastated by her disappearance. There is also a list of Pokémon she has passed onto a couple of people so far, Harry included. Please excuse him while he is about to cry his eyes out over a friend leaving this world (for now).)

(Veronice happily accepts the treat from Luna, happily munching it to her heart’s content. The Hisuian Sliggoo definitely approves of her baking skills, even if her temporary blindness doesn’t allow her to see it, as Harry gets to eat the cinnamon roll wholeheartedly. Seeing how much effort Luna puts into the treats reminds him of the times he would help Mrs. Weasley in preparing the food for meals with friends at the Burrow.

The good memories from the Weasley residence are with him as he enjoys his cinnamon roll so much. Later on a few more Pokémon begin to join in as they too smell baked goods, namely Pinecone, Molly (the Alolan Raichu, not the human witch) and Roger: Molly and Roger having a thing for sweets, and Pinecone being a big eater.)

Oh wow! This cinnamon roll tastes great, Luna. I’m very glad that I get to enjoy it very much. Oh hey guys, there are plenty of Pokémon safe treats for you guys as well.

Rai, Rai-Chu! Pika, pika, pika pi! Sno, Sno-runt! Snorunt!

[Luna was more than happy to share. She was glad she'd been prepared.]

Sometimes, the right kind of food really helps you feel better, you know?

(Molly, Roger, and Pinecone happily take the treats from Luna and they begin to eat them happily. Pinecone certainly doesn’t mind as he munches on his treat whereas Molly and Roger exchange notes on moves and when to use them in battle over snacks.)

Are you guys enjoying your snacks?

(Everyone takes the moment to eagerly reply ‘Yes!’ (in their species language) in unison before they go back to mumching on their snacks and him returning to eating his cinnamon roll.)

Oh yeah, that’s definitly true. You can say that sweets can make one’s day a little better after a rough loss.

They certainly look like they are. [Luna chuckled, and then she nodded.]

Yes, that was my goal.

[But speaking of speaking with Pokémon...]

Oh, did you know that some people here can speak to Pokémon and understand them completely?

Hm, I don’t think that there are many people who can speak to the Pokémon and understand them fluently. But I do happen to know this young pink haired lady who is also a breeder: she has the ability to talk to animals in her world which then is translated into being able to talk to the Pokémon in this world.

Oh, yes! I believe that's the same person I met. Her name is Fluttershy.

Oh yes, that is definitely her. She is really great with animals and Pokémon alike and I do remember Godric and Roger gaining a liking to her when we first met on the network.

[Luna nodded.]

She seems like a very sweet person, too. I enjoyed speaking with her.

[So did her Pokémon for that matter.]

She's a breeder like I am, too.

That’s even more brilliant, Luna! Meeting fellow breeders must be very exciting. Fluttershy is a really nice lady to talk to and very gentle as well.

I wonder if Hermione was able to meet her as well before she left, that would make for a great series of chats.

I imagine it would have. Though, I'm inclined to think that Hermione would have dominated the conversation. Fluttershy seems to live up to her name.

[Luna was definitely amused at the mental picture, though.]

Oh yes I was thinking about the same thing too: considering that she is quite knowledgable in nearly anything, I can imagine her talking for hours.

Sliggooo, Sliggoo! Ggoooo…

It seems someone else is in agreement about that, too.

[Luna laughed a little.]

Are you feeling any better now, Harry?

I am starting to feel a little better than earlier this morning. Not entirely okay just yet but it is still an improvement. At least the baked treats are a welcoming treat to have and I got some of Hermione’s team to look after too.

Awwww, gee thanks Veronice. Glad that you guys have full faith in me in watching over you while Hermione’s gone.

[That got Luna to smile and she gave Harry's hand a little squeeze.]

(The loss of a friend is never easy to cope with, but at least Harry is feeling a little better now than where he was earlier.

Just hearing the kind words from Luna and getting some baked goods from her helped out a lot and that is more than enough for him to slowly make the recovery.)
