Hey this is probably a super weird thing to ask but you know how when we got here we had, you know, the shit in our pockets? Would anyone be willing to sell me some keys? Nothing valuable or that you've got a use for here or anything, I just got a Klefki I wanna get some treats for and he likes novelty.

You know, some of the towns have second-hand stores where you can find neat stuff like that. I'm pretty sure I've seen a key or two here and there? But also there's a lot of keychains, if you think your Klefki would like that. They come in all kinds of shapes.

Yeah, I know about thrift stores. Spent half my life dressing myself outta them. Keys can be tricky to find in places like that, though, that's the kinda thing that most folks either hold onto or toss out, not try to sell or donate. I guess they figure a key without a lock ain't something other people would be looking for.

Keychains might not be a bad idea, if I can find some solid metal ones.

Oh, I guess that makes sense, yes. Well, do you think anything metal that could hang like that, he'd appreciate? Because there are all kinds of directions you can take, if so. The wind-up for a watch, some bottle caps, or even safety pins... Those all can be nice accessories.

Worth a try. All the pokedex info seems to indicate that they like keys specifically, but I'm not sure exactly how much he understands the difference between a key something else key sized? Like on a conceptual level.

I think he'd like them but I'm not sure how long they'd keep his attention? Pokedex seems to think he's not just collecting things, he's kinda... feeding off ions from the metal somehow. So a cardboard key might be fun to put on his keyring for a while but he can't snack on it.

That’s good to know, actually . . . I’ll see if I could make something with a metal core! I’m planning to get a Klefki at some point too, so it’d be nice to prepare somehow.

I don't know. Pokemon are smart, but I also don't see why one would be interested in keys to begin with, so...

I mean, it kind of sounds like you're stuck if he only wants keys.

Yeah, Klefki are kind of weird little guys? They're like, living key rings, the pokedex says they used to be used to guard keys to important vaults and stuff.

I'll figure something out.

Hey, you're a breeder, aren't you? I haven't looked into breeding much but the parents don't need to be the same kind of pokemon, right? If you find a good match for Jangle, I'd be happy to let you borrow him and see if you can get some Klefki eggs.

Maybe? He's most interested in keys but he'll toy around with anything that's small and metal, if it's something he can loop over his little keyring arms and carry around, he might like it.

I know a friend of mine had one that REALLY loved pompom keychains...

If it has to be metal though I think I have a few charms around. If it wasn't for that I'd almost wonder if baby keys could be fun for the little guy!

I mean, Jangle mostly seems interested in metal stuff, but he might just be picky. I'm not gonna act like I'm the great authority on all things Klefki or anything.

Maybe a Ferroseed? I'm kinda leaning steel-specialist, I think, the grass typing would be really good to have.

Well, I'll just send over everything! None of this stuff is really expensive at least, and the baby keys have served their purpose. Those guys have longggggg evolved!
