[Ember is still on the beginner's route, but that hasn't stopped her from breaking in her new PokeGear some more. People probably heard her over the 'Gear yelling at her "mom" while being kicked out of the house. She's calmed down some now, but she still feels like a coal out of the fireplace here. ESPECIALLY SINCE SHE'S HUMAN NOW....]
Hey uh, it's Ember. Ember Lumen. It seems like this thing is the best way to talk to people, huh? Well I just got one thing to say to all of you...
TELL ME ALL ABOUT FIRE POKEMON! I WANT ALL OF THEM!! The more the better!!!!!
[A pause.]
Oh yeah... and uh, my fire went out? Like normally I'd be totallyyyy covered in fire but nope, not here. Can someone explain what's going on?

[Then he all but DROPS the PokeGear, leaving it sitting on the table for the next ten minutes or so. His return is precipitated by the light of a Pokeball opening and disappearing somewhere downscreen. Gobo himself finally reappears, red in the face and out of breath; someone just had to haul tail to the Pokemon Center and back.]
Here! She's- [He leans down, struggles to pick up whoever he's got] -Oof, oh man I think I'm- [STRAIIIIN] -picking up the whole Fraggle Horn!
[Finally he manages to heft the front end of a Hisuian Growlithe into frame, who immediately breaks out into a big doggy smile. Gobo grins, scruffling around the horn.]
This is Dirge!
Oh, she's lovely! Hi Dirge!
[Ember picks up the more smaller, easier-to-pick-up Ash, the Vulpix.]
This is Ash! The Pokemon I got when I showed up here! Does Dirge breathe fire too?
no subject
[The PokeGear shifted as Gobo moved it around again, to sit on the floor this time since Dirge was not going to be able to get into any chairs. And speaking of the Growlithe, she settled in beside him with a flop, one that swayed him briefly.]
And she sure does. She's pretty good with it too, there's three or four different moves she's got by now. [He leans back, affectionately draping an arm around her.] I hatched her from an egg that a friend of mine gave me, a few weeks ago.
Video;
Oh, oh, oh! I got a Fire Pokémon myself. Two in fact.
(Enter in Antonio the Ponyta as he waltzes into the screen, neighing out of curiosity. Just look at his mane: it is burning hot and so magnificent! And then Cappy the Scovillian comes in running, screeching and narrowly bumping Antonio off the screen.)
No, Cappy. You can’t just bump your teammates off like that! Sorry, my Scovillian is being very naughty today.
Anyway, this here is Antonio and Cappy. They are currently the two Fire Pokémon I have in my team, though Cappy is also part Grass since he is a two headed pepper plant.
Video
[ There's a bit of shuffling and movement, and some talking somewhere off-screen, but eventually the camera focuses on a Hisuian Arcanine, a Centiskorch, and a Houndoom. ]
This is Mullido, Picoso, and Diablo. They're all dual Fire types, so they're Fire as well as another type.
[ There's a pause, as she debates on something for a moment. But eventually she can't help asking. ]
Were you really always covered in fire?
Video
"I have one," he says. "Here's Levi."
A large, fluffy Flareon walks into camera range, looking proud. Radley pets him as he talks.
"As for your fire, apparently there's some kind of rule here that everybody has to look human. I'm really not sure why."
You know, you need to be careful with fire-type pokemon. If they're not careful with their attacks, you could end up in trouble.
A redheaded man holds up a Charcadet that waves curiously at the 'gear.]
This is Lyna - she's what's called a Charcadet, and she happens to be the one Fire type Pokemon I've come to have by my side.
[He'll just put her down in his lap because this is his baby, okay, this is his child. His tiny on-fire child, who relaxes against him with ease. Because that's her dad!]
Apparently, if given one of two specific items, she can evolve and become one of two different species entirely - one that takes on Psychic typing in addition to Fire, and the other that adds Ghost typing to its arsenal. We haven't spoken much about evolution, so I wouldn't know which she would prefer, but when the time comes, I'll let her decide.

It's so cool to see fire Pokemon just able to be themselves here. I'm gonna train Ash to be the best he can be!
Video;
Antonio, huh? I'll have to find one of those! I love its fire mane! And Cappy's so cool... he's part-grass? That's possible?
Re: Video
[As for the second question, she's a little distracted but she answers.]
Oh yeah! I'm a fire element. I live in Element City with a bunch of different elements... well, I live in Fire Town. Don't get to see too many other elements there.
Video
... So this place makes everyone look kind of similar? That's a little weird. I mean, it's kind of nice here. But I kind of need to get back home? I had a lot of important things going on and a boyfriend who's probably sobbing his eyes out by now.
[Well, she can't say not recently.]
... Trust me, I know how to handle fire.
[She pauses, thoughtfully.]
Is there fire and water?
Re: Video
[Radley looks at her kindly.]
People who have gone back and come here again say that time stands still, so I'm hoping that's the case for everyone. I don't wanna think my friends are worrying about me either.
Video;
Yes, rare type pairings can happen. Scovillains are so far the only known Pokémon to be part Fire and Grass, two opposing types that wouldn’t normally go along well together. Sometimes though it is the combination of these types that can help offset some of the weaknesses of each type.
[He pauses at her question, racking his brain.]
Hm...it's not a common combination, to be certain. I believe I read something about a legendary Pokemon with such abilities, but if it exists - which is oddly probable - it exclusively hides in foggy, misty mountains to avoid the eyes of men.
no subject
I would think if you've been a fire person, that makes it a bigger risk. I mean, I don't imagine fire people can burn themselves normally, right?
Video
[Okay, she's not sure whether to be intimidated or charmed by the enthusiasm... and the compass settles on charmed. Allura can't help but chuckle.]
Fire is actually quite the common type, although they'll be a bit rare to catch before you start out. Hm... [recalling her early days...] Head to Violet City; it will be northwest of Cherrygrove City, the settlement you're heading towards. Go to Sprout Tower at night, and you might be able to find a Litwick. Be careful; they're Ghost/Fire, and Ghost-types can be a bit dangerous if not handled properly. You'll also be able to find Litleos on Route 34 to the south of them.
[And Scovillains in Ilex Forest, but Allura doesn't know about wild ones quite yet.]
no subject
A fire element? Oh, I see. [ She sort of gets it, anyway, but she's just going to assume that's just the world that she comes from. ] Yeah, this place is a bit strange like that. People who are a bit different get changed to look like regular humans, and people with special powers or abilities lose them.
Video;
[Two elements that don't go together... that makes her smile a bit.]
Wow, that's really incredible. I'm glad they can co-exist with their typing.
no subject
[It's kind of worrying? Her family and her Wade is back home.]
Oh well, being a "human" element has been pretty interesting so far. Don't have to worry about accidentally setting anything on fire.
Video
... Well, that's good to know, at least. I don't wanna worry Wade. Or my family.
no subject
[She only did that once!]
... I'd like to see it, if it's possible here.
video
Video;
Same here. I’m quite amazed that there are species with similar typing situations in this world like the Scovillains and that can make for a great variety of type pairings, otherwise things would be very boring if almost every of them have the same type.
Re: Video
Yeah. It's definitely easier to deal with being here if that's the case. Of course, then there's another problem once you're attached to the Pokemon. I can't stand to think of leaving them behind when I go back.
no subject
Of course. I will caution, you'll likely want a variety of types on your team to counter different. Fire types in particular are weak to Water, Rock, and Ground attacks, and Pokémon might have moves of different types in their arsenal.
[Meaning if Ember's not careful, she could get countered very easily.]

It's...hard to really say why any of us are brought here and who stays and who gets home. I...had a sister that was here for a while, but she eventually got sent home after a while. [ Pausing a moment, she clears her throat and pushes on. ] But some people I know have been here for years. And the people back home don't seem to realize that we've even gone...something about time being frozen? So at least we don't really have to worry about that.
There's that, at least. But I bet it's been pretty weird, being something so different from what you originally were.
no subject
... Yeah, I'd say you're right. It probably mixes things up in battle too, huh?
no subject
[She does sound a little sad though. She'd love to have Wade here with her.]
Your sister, huh? That must've been really nice that you two got to be together for a while. Maybe... you'll get to bring home a bunch of new stories to tell her, to catch her up on, you know? I've always been an only kid, so it must be cool to have siblings.

That's true. I bet she'd love to hear about the stuff she's missed. And it's not so bad, because my older sister is here now. [ Though it's not quite the same as having Mira, having Isa still makes it a bit less lonely. ]
Yeah, it is pretty cool. It can get a bit crowded sometimes, especially since we also lived with my tía and tío and cousins, but I always enjoyed growing up with them.
no subject
Oh why thank you. He is very pleased to hear it that you can hear hopping in joy today.
Yeah, it certainly does make for great battle strategies and clever ways to get into the action. I have seen plenty of Gym Battles on TV and online where Trainers had to get very creative and clever to win their gym battles quite often.

Exactly. Water Pokemon can be found near the coast or any source of water, usually, and Rock and Ground can be found in caves, tunnels, and deserts.

[She has Reasons.]

Well, that's kind of sad. [She wonders if she should get too attached then.] Hopefully there's people to take care of them after the person leaves?

Wow, big family then? I just live with my parents, in Fire Town. My Àshfà... he was going retire and let me take over the family shop, but I ended up becoming a glassmaker instead.
no subject
Oh wow, I can't wait to try my first gym battle. Gotta train up for it though!

(Cappy then happily hops around in a circle in sheer delight. Yep look at him go, being in his natural element: showboating.)
Same here. I am looking forward to get into the gym battles as soon as I can train my team up to a high enough level and learn all the possible strategies to take.
no subject
[ Even though she's gotten used to living on her own here, it hasn't always been easy. ]
A glassmaker sounds really nice. What was the shop for? And...what's an "àshfà"?
no subject
A wise choice. Water will be effective on most subterranean Pokémon; Rock will also be effective against most Flying Pokémon, and there are quite a few in the caves as well.
[Assuming the reasons for getting a Water-type are purely practical here.]
Ah, forgive me. My name is Allura Kogane.
