[The video opens to a… very exhausted looking Vash. He smiles like there’s no problem, but it’s clear from the gum in his hair and a bunch of grass sticking out of his hood that he’s had a long day. His face is rubbed fretfully, before a wiggly-fingered wave is offered up to those tuned in.]

Hey, guys. [He stretches out, then scratches at his hair, grimacing as his fingers streak through the gum.] Wondering if you can help me out? Got these two little guys following me around, a — Grafaiai and an Impidimp I think?

Tuuuurns out I may or may not have offended them? See, they won’t leave me alone. Like, nonstop pranks, that sort of thing! They’re real famous around town I hear, seein’ as how everyone seems to know about them.

Guess my question is… do you know how a guy can do some Poke-appeasing? I’d sure like to get a break from the chaos, and I’m worried my team is getting fed up too! Any help would be gr-

[The camera cuts off as a fingernail sized glob of paper hits Vash’s cheek. Meanwhile, the Pokegear itself is picked up and turned around. A Grafaiai delightedly chitters, while behind him, an Impidimp seems to be holding a spitball shooter? Gross!

In any case, the two quickly scatter at the sound of movement on the other side of the screen.]

Hey, get back here!

[And just like that, the feed cuts off. Uhhh….]

To think, we were out again. )

[A disgruntled man, dirty, would appear on the video feed on this afternoon. He had a look of annoyance. But not severe. His Litten was on his shoulder. He stomach would lurch loudly on occasion but...food for him was still a mystery.]

You know, defeating small children for pocket change is great fun and all but for Gods sake...all I wanted was a day at this "spa" after three days of travel.

Why does every bloody thing cost so much?? Did they think these school children would be willing to give us their parents' fortunes? Maybe as a kind offering for those scraggly newcomers by the goodness of their hearts? Gods. I smell like the dead and so does my beloved Yula here. The most I was able to do was give her the meal she deserved.

[Technically he could pickpocket but what if there were secret police or something, he doesn't know that yet. He doesn't want to go to jail he's been in paradise for not even a week.]

[For those outside of Goldenrod City, you may just find one Vash the Stampede throwing his arms out wide and into the brisk air. He's no stranger to wind, but the chill? That's something else entirely. It feels amazing, even if he's shivering within his jacket.

Unfortunately, he seems to have missed the fact that there are strange Pokemon on the move. Namely, strange Pokemon moving in a mass migration with the breeze. They go where the wind takes them. And where the wind takes them is straight for Vash.

For those with the good sense to stay home home? Manes the Mimikyu has not missed out on what a hilarious mess this is going to be. She's promptly set up Vash's Pokegear, aiming it at him just as he throws his arms out wide. He does a spin around, even waving to the Mimikyu as he whoops and hollers at the cold air. Unfortunately, while he seems to have noticed his Pokemon, he hasn't noticed the oncoming swarm.

He misses it, right up until it collides with him. And helpless beneath the rolling batch of tumbleweed creatures, Vash falls. This does not stop the horde. It rolls over him, poking and prodding at every little sensitive area. Vash, meanwhile, flails on the ground as the Bramblin and Brambleghasts continue on their little migration.

Only one stops. And it's hardly even stopping, so much as it repeatedly rolls into Vash's head for good measure. If you're here in person, maybe you should stop it? Or if you're just watching the show, feel free to laugh.]

[First of all, there's a link posted on the Pokegear network from one Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd. As in, literally posted, you might have to copy paste it into the address bar? He's doing his best, bless him.]

Gremlin is doing streams for charity on his channel. Please support him. Thank you.

[And those who follow the link will find a stream shortly starting up on Staryutube, for a user called DABrat! Gremlin the Rattata is set up on, like.... so many little cushions on what looks like a tried and true gamer's chair, squeaking happily as Dimitri gingerly makes sure his little Rattata-sized headset is fit on perfectly.]

[Did you know that they make headphones just for Rattata? Now you do!]

[With that done with, Gremlin excitedly waves both of his tiny little rat hands up at the camera, and Dimitri smiles as well.]

Hello again, everyone. Gremlin has decided to make this month's series of streams very special. Since it is October, he has thought that he would do a horror game playthrough every day. All donations he gets from these streams will go right to charity!

[Gremlin gestures ENTHUSIASTICALLY.]

[....Behind both Dimitri and Gremlin, in the neon-lit gloom from the rest of the room, a shape begins to form, with the faint red glow of eyes towering there in the shadows.]

For those who managed to send their donations in during specified times, they will even get to put forth what horror game that they would like to see Gremlin play. He has managed to amass a bit of a collection just for this month, and we are also not afraid to buy things if they are readily available.

[The mysterious shadowy figure slowly fades away. Dimitri and Gremlin remain none the wiser.]

Chat, you know that you must behave as is proper while we finish setting up, and then we will be taking the first suggestions!

[ooc: WELCOME TO GREMLIN'S HALLOWEEN CHARITY STREAM please ignore the chat and what they say about Dimitri, because he sure is

Basically how this will work is that you can assume that - so long as they donated! - your character can suggest whatever horror game they like for Gremlin to play, and that can be threaded out to varying degrees! Alternatively, they can just comment and chill as Gremlin plays games with Dimitri there to offer commentary, and make sure his rat is doing well.

This will basically happen for long hours during all of October, so you can have your character comment whenever. This also ensures anyone can suggest whatever game and be guaranteed Gremlin will play it.

Suggested games can be completely made up, or Poke-parodies of actual horror games. If you're having trouble thinking of them, I have a whole spreadsheet of various horror games that you can riff off of.

Happy October!]

[Ember is still on the beginner's route, but that hasn't stopped her from breaking in her new PokeGear some more. People probably heard her over the 'Gear yelling at her "mom" while being kicked out of the house. She's calmed down some now, but she still feels like a coal out of the fireplace here. ESPECIALLY SINCE SHE'S HUMAN NOW....]

Hey uh, it's Ember. Ember Lumen. It seems like this thing is the best way to talk to people, huh? Well I just got one thing to say to all of you...

TELL ME ALL ABOUT FIRE POKEMON! I WANT ALL OF THEM!! The more the better!!!!!

Now that everyone has hopefully had enough time to recover from the events regarding those tunnels and the mysterious creature within...

I have been thinking about that quite a bit, I must confess. Isn't it intriguing that, even in a world so developed and known as this, there are still mysteries spread throughout it?

Species we are not familiar with. Legendaries that evade all attempts to be known. Macaroni and cheese boxes which boast about their cheesiness and which yet contain no packet.

[One of these things is not like the other.]

So, my question to others in our predicament is... What mysteries have held your attention, whether in this place, or your homelands?

For myself, personally, I have ended up stumbling onto the answers of many practical matters. Medicine, food, things of that nature. It is still incredible to me how Johto and Kanto manage to handle it all so readiliy, to the point that even travelers such as ourselves can live comfortably with some effort.

Yet I wonder more about these Legendaries as well, and what an interesting presence they possess....

[The network gets a video displaying something that is likely familiar to every single viewer: a dreaded Ledge. Altogether, it looks unintimidating, a lovely short grass path just a few feet above another like it, likely on one of the earlier, calmer routes. The only thing out of place, really, is a man scratching his chin, staring at the shelf of rock like it’s some nigh impossible math problem.

The thing is, he’s huge. Taller than the ledge, even. He can literally peer over the top of it.

First, he lifts the Pokemon at his side, a particularly lethargic Teddiursa, and carefully places it atop the ridge. It promptly tumbles over the side and starts to slide back down, although its trainer catches it before it can sustain any injuries. This repeats once or twice, to the human’s mounting chagrin.

Now, he sets the bear cub on his shoulder and makes as if he’s going to climb the microscopic cliff as Teddiursa settles comfortably in his poncho. And once again, in spite of the high likelihood of him being able to uproot a tree with his bare hands judging by his muscle mass, he can’t keep a grip, and slips down the rocks. His brows furrow deeply as he motions with a hand to the top of the ledge, then to his own head, like one would compare heights.

His shoulders slump as he finally makes his way to the Gear, patting whatever Pokemon has been kind enough to record for him before picking it up and giving the camera an exasperated look.]

So... what's goin’ on with that?

Okay, I need to ask this, but people better not get all sappy.

Does anyone else ever have a hard time saying something more when you really mean it? Like it's harder for you to bring stuff up when it really matters, or it's really emotional? And if it is hard for you, how do you get around it?

Being sincere is harder for me, but that didn't bother me because I didn't think being sincere was very smart. But now, there's times I think it would be better.

It's not like I never mean anything I say, or anything weird like that! It's just that being really open about feelings feels kind of scary. Maybe that's dumb?

a. Somewhere on Route 29

[Well, after the... thrilling start that Vash had back in New Bark Town, he finds that he's ready for a bit of normalcy. Sure, the trees are a little out of the ordinary considering where he's spent most of his life, but being on the road and constantly moving? That's normal enough. Getting attacked by weird creatures? Also pretty normal! Proceeding to run from said creatures? Yeah, you get the idea.

But while Vash may be used to running away instead of fighting, his companion isn't. She knows the rules of this world, and before Vash can get too far, she's already knocked out the poor Spearow that was pursuing them.

Which is why you might come across Vash, seated up against a tree, calmly lecturing the little creature.]

Now I know you were just trying to be a good friend, but you can't go around attacking creatures like that. He was just defending his territory — nothing wrong with that.

[Sure, the Pokemon are only unconscious and will recover well enough. And yes, he's done the same in the name of self-defense. But after a century of doing his best to stay his hand, it still feels uncomfortable to lift it once more, even if these creatures don't necessarily fall within the bounds of his promise.]

b. Cherrygrove City

[Somehow, the duo manages to make their way to Cherrygrove without much issue. Yes, a few more creatures get knocked out along the way, but at least they seem to have come to an understanding about it. Which is why Vash is more than happy to reward the little Mimikyu when they finally reach civilization.]

It hardly seems fair for you to be walking around with a rag on. [Vash clutches a small tube of fabric, red not unlike his own jacket. It's safety pinned in the back to make a pseudo dress.] Now, why don't we get that peeled off and put you into something nice?

[And that is precisely when Vash reaches down to pull the Mimikyu's rag up. Will you help him? Or are you about to watch a man suffer?]

c. Network (video)

[One way or another, Vash does somehow manage to survive his encounter with the Mimikyu's true visage! Still, it's left him feeling a bit... curious. He fixes his camera on the Mimikyu as she toddles around, speaking from behind it.]

Are all of these creatures so... quirky? Mine doesn't really like to be seen without her, uh... clothes, I guess? Do they all have little traits like that, or is mine just special?

[Vash has spent all day marvelling the route of so much water and all the greenery in the area, even if it's dusted with this weird soft white stuff, so much so he was able to enjoy the "dream" without the Troubles in his world crossing his mind. But the longer the day went on, and the more he investigated the guides in his bag, the more it dawned on him this might not be a weird dream. He released his Oddish from her Pokéball at some point, so he's been carrying her around. The white stuff on the ground is cold, he doesn't want her little feet freezing.]

[Now, close to nighttime, he's got his feet in the water, Oddish sitting in his lap, and he's fiddling with the PokéGear. The water may be pretty cold, but he's accepting it. He's arguably overdressed for the heat of the desert, but he's plenty cozy for the snow.]

[Deciding he should try to reach out for help, he starts recording a video post.]

Hellooo out there! This Pokémon is cute and all, but I kind of need to get home. Anyone know how?

Oh, and--[He gathers up some snow in his mechanical hand to show the camera.]--what's all this stuff? Crazy enough there's all this water just sitting out here, but this stuff's falling from the sky.

What’s this? There’s glitter in the air. What’s this? There’s dresses everywhere.

Oh right. It’s Prom time.

From the afternoon on, on Friday the 7th of April, your characters will all be arriving at Tohjo Falls via the transport arranged for by Lance. He did end up borrowing a few of those Corviknights from the JKBA, but there are also several of you who will find themselves flown to the Falls by one of Lance’s Dragonites or Charizards. Please give them a poffin if you are able, they are all very good boys and girls.

Your characters will be set down on a tiled driveway (more like flyway, Ha) in front of an impressive-looking villa. Those who have been here before might note that the villa has gotten a bit of a renovation and an update. Turns out that when Team Rocket kidnaps you and keeps you captive in your own home for several weeks while wrecking the house and digging Arceus knows how many basements beneath the house, you might be entitled to some compensation.

And from the looks of things, Lance and co used that compensation to turn their little vacation home back into something where they can relax in peace.

After you arrive, you’ll be greeted by Lance or one of the other Elite Four members, who will give you a quick run-down. You are free to explore the house and surrounding area at your leisure. Please respect their privacy and do not go into any of the locked rooms. You’ll find your accommodations behind the house, so feel free to head there and unpack. Oh, and, there will be a little announcement later, so if you could be in the dining room for that, that’d be stellar.

Well, off you go!

[The 'gear view opens upon a vast expanse of those peculiarly textured magazines you can find in plastic stands on street corners, listing in vaguely blurry text various selling points of real estate. The view lifts, and you can see it's not so much a vast expanse as it is just a tabletop covered with them. Across the way from the person holding the 'gear is G'rhyf Kett, focused on a column of offers in one of the magazines, and the camera lingers for a moment on the image of their concentrated visage before they blink and look up, a bit bewildered before their nose crinkles and they chuckle.]

What're you doing, Raha?

[A sheepish laugh comes from behind the camera.] A thought occurred to me, is all - would you indulge me for a moment?

Just a moment?

Y-Yes, just a moment. [With a clearing of the throat, G'raha turns his 'gear around. He looks a bit tired, eyes reddish...well, besides his irises, I mean. It's likely he's been thumbing through real estate periodicals for hours to get that kind of look to him.] G'rhyf and I have been engaging in...well, I suppose it could be the closest thing to what adventurers like to call "Housing: Savage" - jovially of course - on our star. We thought, since we have both been designated as breeders, that it was only right we have a dedicated space for that - a sort of ranch, perhaps? Not the kind that's a one-level house in a neighborhood, but one with a field and some natural points of interest. Someplace where our Pokemon feel comfortable and at ease.

Yeah, now if only we could pick someplace...

Exactly, therein lies the problem - even with the scope of our search limited to two regions of this world, we simply cannot decide what area would be best. So...I thought, would we not benefit by asking the opinion of others who have been here longer? Who, say, might already have their own similar homes? Where would you elect to have such a ranch?

Let us know what you think!

Please do, I don't want to read the thousandth specification of a building only to find it's absolutely impossibly expensive - that and, this paper is incredibly shoddy. G'rhyf, your hands aren't covered in ink, are they?

Huh? I don't think so- [The video swings back to G'rhyf, who looks down at their hands and makes a face. Yes, there is indeed cheap ink rubbed off on them from the cheap paper.] Ewww...

[The feed cuts off to G'raha's laughter, and insistence that he's a mess too, it's fine!

...Neeeeeerds.]

[the camera starts up with a shaky tumble to the ground, flashes of white and blue, and a frustrated growl.

The owner of the gear picks it up and--well, he's not going to apologize for any potential motion sickness, sorry. He's currently trying to fend off the overzealous affections of a giant fluffy Altaria that has him pinned down (hence the dropping of the gear) and is furiously humming while preening his hair.]

Lucille, get off me, for Fury's sake.

[It’s a nice late morning on Four Island’s beach, and look, it’s Keith and Allura, neither fighting to the death or being covered in the worst possible Fling ammo by a rogue Simisear. Not only that, but it looks like Allura’s eye has healed up nicely. (No scars, though. Sorry, Riz.)]

Greeting, everyone. We meant to do this announcement earlier, but um… circumstances got in the way.

[Which is Princess for “no way in Poké-hell was I going to make a live video broadcast with an eyepatch I got from being beaned by a stray frisbee, or being pelted with flaming Simisear poo.” Keith rubbed the back of his neck, looking a bit sheepish. As it was, he's only recently been told he was allowed to walk around without his crutches.]

Yeah, it's um... Well, it's been "A Time". [He gave a small chuckle.]

But now that things are a bit calmer at the moment… Keith and I have an announcement to make.

[The plan here is to hold their clasped hands to the camera, but… as Allura tries to take Keith’s off-screen.]

Keith… what’s going on?

[He tried again, looking down at their hands in visible confusion.]

I don't know. I can't seem to-... [His voice trailed off as they tried again.

A few more failed attempts, out of frame and then in frame- and the astute might see something sparkly on Allura’s left hand- and then Allura’s hand recoils into Keith’s shoulder and shoves him off the bench. Keith grunted hard as he landed.]

Oh no… Keith! Keith, are you all right?

Ow... [Yeah, he was okay, but getting suddenly tossed off a bench wasn't fun.] Allura... did you get your Altean strength back or something?

[G'raha clicks on his 'gear looking a bit tired, but like...not in the haggard scholarly way of someone who's been pushing himself. More like the "I am experiencing a whirlwind of holidays that are similar to ones I know but still different enough that I'm confused" kind of tired, which is pretty valid. But hey, that sure is the top of a Pokemon egg peeking in from the bottom of the screen - he'll angle the video down so people can see he's got it in his lap, wrapped in his scarf. Uh, for warmth, I guess?]

So I am assuming this is not an unusual occurrence, given all my companions received a similar sort of gift, but...I must confess, though being designated as a Pokemon breeder, this is my first time caring for one of their eggs. Do mystery eggs often pop up like this as some kind of gift around this world's holidays, or is this a special case? Mine is...still not hatched, which is fine, but I'm going out of my way to make sure it isn't neglected and...am I doing something incorrectly?

[He. He doesn't want to kill it on accident, you know?]

If anyone might have a tip or two that wouldn't be in the provided handbook, I would very much like to hear it, I...I would like to do this right, for the benefit of the egg.

[A pause, as he looks away, fumbling with the 'gear. He's probably trying to turn it off, but it catches this before he finally hits the button to end the recording.]

-Would make sense to have some experience if I'm going to help them with what they want to try-

I'm sure it has escaped no one's notice, but this world seems to be preparing for a harvest festival, and it puts me in the mindset for one from my own home. 'Tis called All Saints' Wake.
Legend has it that the Twelve deities of Eorzea take this night to honor the saints of the land with a feast in their celestial realm. With their departure to the heavens, the mortal realm is left unprotected, and creatures of darkness emerge to engage in their own revelry and mischief. In earlier ages, people would barricade themselves in their homes and wait for the dawn to come, or don grotesque outfits in disguise if they needed venture out, but soon adventurers began to drive back the foul spirits on this night, and more and more people felt safer to emerge and celebrate the saints' ascension rather than fear it. Decorations, costumes, and delicious autumnal offerings became the norm, and in Eorzea proper a circus makes the rounds on this night, delighting audiences with incredible feats of performance.
It is suspected, though, that creatures of the night mingle with mortals and find ways to play their tricks on the unsuspecting...

Ah, forgive me, I seem to have rambled on when merely I wished to share my knowledge - and ask if anyone has any particular information about this world's harvest festival, or ones from their own homes.
I find it intriguing that such similar iconography would make itself known across worlds, and the differences are equally as interesting.
So, would anyone be so kind as to indulge a scholar on the workings of this All Hallow's Eve?
