[It's Armin at his desk, rain hitting the large windows behind him, making it look rather cosy. Hopefully you are all inside too, and not out in the rain.]
It's almost Halloween again, isn't it? Seems impossible that it's already this late in the year again. When I was a kid, my grandfather always said life goes quickly when you are old, but I never believed him. I guess he was right after all...
[Armin is clearly very old and soon to be turning even older. 23! Practically at death's door.]
Have you guys had any luck deciding on costumes yet? I couldn't think of anything, so I thought reading some of my favourite scary novels might help. [Armin gestures at a stack of books on his desk. Imagine books like 'Dracula' and 'Frankenstein' and 'The Haunting of Lavender House'.] But now I have the opposite problem...
I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm open to suggestions.
[Though really, Armin kind of looks ready and willing to chat about anything. He feels a little bad for neglecting the network during the whirlwind of getting married and wedded bliss.]

Do any of your novels have any duos that might work well to dress up as?
[Couples costumes? Couples Costumes.]
Video
Also, the sight of her in one of his sweaters still makes him swoon. Not making any progress on getting off cloud nine yet.]
Well, there is Dracula and one of his brides. Or Dracula and Dr Van Helsing. The doctor and his monster...

As if aware of Armin's gaze on her, Angel snuggles deeper into the sweater with a pleased little smile. This is the ideal. This is how she'll live for the rest of forever.]
Dracula is probably closest, right? And I was just a bride, so I'm pretty sure I have that part down!

[Angel probably couldn't borrow a costume from Lust, considering Lust is... larger in many ways, but perhaps she has ideas!]

[Even if sundresses are very cozy and soft.]
Or we could go as a newlywed couple. I wouldn't mind wearing that dress again and reliving the day.
[She doesn't even want the attention. She just wants to be dumb and sappy with her husband.]

Video;
I have been thinking of going to dress up as a witch this year, although I am ditching the pointy hat. I managed to find a great purple one in a store earlier in a good price deal.
Speaking of which, this is going to be the first time I am celebrating it in this world.
(The tea caddy in question then proceeds to give Armin a naughty smirk.)
Video;
I never celebrated Halloween at all until coming here. It's not a holiday we have in the world I come from. As you can imagine, we were all pretty awestruck when we first heard about it. We were all teenage boys, so the idea of getting free candy just for dressing up was pretty exciting.
[We all know teen boys only use one organ to do all their thinking.
No, not that one. It's the stomach, of course!]

I haven’t experience Halloween in the town I’m from either so when I started hearing about the holiday from the locals and learning more about it, I got very excited. I wonder how everyone else will be dressing for Halloween soon.Oh free candy, that sounds a lot of fun to get plenty of them on the day itself.

[Newton looks adorable in it though, so he can do with it what he wants.]
Judging by how elaborate some people's costumes get, I'm sure they must have been planning them all year.

(She does wonder if any of her Pokémon would enjoy dressing for Halloween though. Amarantha seems to be keen on doing anything to wow the crowd while Carmen never fails to impress whenever possible.)
People planning their costumes for over a year? Now that is some great dedication and creativity. Mirabel would have loved to create such wonderful designs for Halloween; she has great skills in sewing clothes especially with hers.
(The tea caddy decides to spook her out, causing Isabela to trip up a bit and understandably scold it for being too naughty.)
Matcha, please. Don’t try to do anything too naughty right now.

I've seen those costumes around.
[It's probably one of these, but as a Sharpedo.]
voice;
[They are very sweet and cute, Armin will not change his mind.]
Have you decided on a costume yet?
voice;
[That's a joke. He's very funny.]
Nah, I'm... probably not going to get involved. Maybe do candy for anyone at the observatory, but I think I'm going to pass.
voice;
[Armin too is hilarious.]
If you are sure. [Armin is... concerned. He worries about Shiro withdrawing too much from others. But at the same time, he also doesn't want to force him to do things.] You can always change your mind and come without a costume on. I'm sure nobody will mind, even if you are just dressed up as yourself.

[Stars she feels so old.]
What is Halloween?
Video
It's a local holiday. I actually wasn't familiar with it before coming here either but apparently it is a fairly common one in many worlds. It is supposedly the night when all things spooky and fiendish come out to play. A lot of the ways in which people celebrate these days come forth from old traditions meant to ward off danger -- like donning costumes to confuse ghosts, and leaving offering of food to appease them, to bonfires to cast light everywhere.
[Sorry, he went kinda nerdy on you there.]
Uhm. I might be making it sound a bit boring, but it is really fun.
no subject
Spooky and fiendish? That’s worth celebrating?
[Sounds weird, but okay.]
Is everyone expected to wear costumes?
no subject
[They had done plenty of that back in his world. Never, of course, about titans. Those kind of ghost stories were too realistic, too close to what they actually had to deal with. But gathering all the boys together in the dorm to tell scary stories about ghosts had been pretty fun.
Of course, less fun if Shadis caught them and made them all run laps for staying up past curfew.]
It's... commonly expected, but you won't be the only one if you don't dress up. Most people look forward to the dressing up part.

I think that I might go as a guy from a show I have been watching on the telly lately this year. His name, if I can get it right, is Tennessee Smith. The guy is an explorer who rescues lost treasures in the world, deal with nasty people and fights with a rope. I think that it is the premise of his show.
(He is probably talking about an image of a man in archeologist clothes.)
video
[Armin doesn't watch a lot of TV; he's more a book reader! But that kind of premise, going on adventures, exploring lost places and finding treasures does appeal to the kid he once was.]
And I guess in this case you could rescue lost candy.
no subject
(As long as his team can get it together and try not to eat all the candy, then it should be all good for everyone. This is a man who had uncovered tons of secerts and many hidden items back at home.)
Video
[ Almost time to lock herself up in her room for the whole day. ]
I don't usually dress up for Halloween, to be honest. I'm too easily scared by some of the horror things.
Video
[Armin is not one of those people. Dealing with titans certainly doesn't mean you are beyond fear, but it does help to put things in perspective. Vampires and Halloween ghouls might startle him, but it's not something that lingers.]
You wouldn't have to dress up as something scary though. I believe Louie is thinking about dressing up as a pokemon.
no subject
[ She won't say that out loud to him, though. She knows how sensitive he can be about that. ]
And that's true. It's...more of other people who do dress up scary, though. Some of those costumes can be really scary.

[Teenagers are so touchy about being called cute. Even when they are, objectively, pretty damn cute.]
Ah, that is true. Some people really throw their all into it.
